You won the game anyway, but what could’ve been more optimal in that last game was playing the dragon from hand. 11, 12, 12 requires 4 minimum cards to block only 1 attack, but if you did 9, 9, 10, 10, 4 don being on luffy leader, then that requires 6 minimum since 2 attacks have to be nullified.
Yeah this would have been the better play you are correct. Forces him to give me more cards in order not to lose.

In the first game 11:07 it was better to play Dragon first and use its effect to add 2 don to Shanks, then attack with shanks and dragon to Yamato and leave one don open for rad beam. He still had enough counter but you get rid of more cards in hand and can survive next turn

one thing with RP Luffy for me is it's hard to know when to attack board or life, i noticed you go for board way more than i do
great vid! I do have a question though, why do you and those regional winners run the 1 cost Nico Robin? like what is her purpose in terms of synergizing with this deck. Sorry if its a noob question :D
Thanks for the support! But the Nico Robin is specifically to counter one very prevalent card in black. That card being 4 cost Rebecca blocker. You don’t have a lot of attacks usually so blockers can really screw you over. 1 DON to remove a very common blocker is just really strong against black decks.

Optimal play on your 4 don turn would be 7k swing + zorojuro.. on your 6 don turn, you can swing 7k zoro, play bonchan, then swing leader with 7 or 8k. that way, you can use your leader ability as you have 8 dons after zoro attack and bonchan play.
I’d rather get a Sangoro on board in that situation. Sure I could have done leader effect one turn earlier doing that, but it doesn’t allow me to play anything meaningful any sooner. Getting an 8k on board that turn instead of ramping is a lot more valuable especially against enel.
In the first game couldn't you have went zorojuro then bonclay for triple ramp the following turn? Just curious!
I could have, but it wasn’t going to let me play one of my big cards any earlier. I wanted to get Sangoro down as soon as I could and play Newgate on the next turn.

The three games in this video are the only games I recorded. I usually just record 3 games in a row after I show off the decklist.

what are you trying to say? It would win or lose? I feel like birdcage would have a bad time against this with so many 6+ drops.
The second list not using 10c luffy seems odd
Yeah, i love the 10c Luffy but sometimes it hurts clearing your board to play it . Seems like that list is more focused and a big board then ramping to Luffy
Yeah I mean even if you just watch this video there really was never a good chance to play it. You have so many good bodies now there’s some board states where it just feels really bad to play. I actually would probably either put it down to 1 or 2. I feel like it’s still just the best card to go for game in a lot of situations. Maybe throw in some 7 cost kids instead for the Law matchup?
10c Luffy is useless into Enel because his Leader Effect resets to in the new turn and Bonney can Rest in the new Turn and thats bad
Well the point of g5 luffy is to close games. You swing with board and then swing 10k with leader on free turn and 12k with g5.

If he plays queen and uses the rest of the don to kill Kid then he wins the Bonney game 100%
Not sure what you mean, but if you’re talking about how he forgot to rest his kid on the last turn it actually didn’t matter. If I just attach DON to characters and swing good numbers he would lose. You can see his hand at the end so just do the math in your head. Didn’t have enough counter or blockers to protect his Kid.

This is just wrong lol. You can only get don back from the don deck. Once you’re at 10 don you’ll have to don minus if you ever want to use leader effect again.
I mean He isnt wrong its "cheating" you a Don, get it?
