Like did they not wanna be famous or wut ? They're hands down the best emo band ive heard not my favorite but definitely the best in terms of wut emo truly is wouldve loved to see these guys live been listening to them since highschool its kinda ironic that them not being around anymore and how that makes me feel is exactly how the music makes me feel lol
@aidan it’s not 2012 move on i dont agree with things certain musicians have done, but u defintely deprive urself of good music if u equate the musicians themselves to the actual music. major example is Burzum dont agree with varg but the music is amazing
I read that this band suffered from inner conflict for most of its run, so even if they wanted to be famous it probably wouldn't have worked out in the end
i had the audio on my computer since 2010, they posted it for download on their myspace when they broke up- but i didn’t think to put it with the video until years later lol
The dude to the right of jack is a kid named Mason Behnke, a good friend of jacks, that went on tour with them a lot. I'm the young looking kid standing directly to the left of Jack my head is always bobbing in and out with the ridiculous;l large teenage boy hair. The dude grabbing jack during Sentinel and Word Vomit is this dude named Arthur Marshall. He's from Michigan and he was traveling along with them on this tour too i'm pretty sure. The couple other people in this video in the background behind NIck are members of the band Prawn, who played right before them. They were touring together. I'm pretty sure I have some videos of their set on this account too but the sound quality is trash. i hope this helps
Yea usually these midwest bands play without a stage and so they are completely surrounded by people. So there is alot of practical uses such as getting air lol and the cord not getting ripped out of the mic as easy. But yes also the emo aesthetic is at play.
he’s stated that he didn’t because the band that inspired him to get into skramz, Lion Of The North’s (pre La Dispute I think?) singer didn’t face the crowd either
@dylan maclean i’m kind of speculating because it’s been so long i don’t really remember, but BASICALLY they did an east coast leg of a tour. they wrapped it up, and then had a few days off. the next leg of the tour was supposed to be in southeast maybe? i remember a florida date. there were issues between nick and jack i think, like they jus weren’t getting along or one of them was being a dick. childhood friends that grew up and changed, we all know what that’s like. if i remember correctly, they canceled the rest of the tour and went home. the end
mostly DAEAC#E with capos in different place for cameron is in DADFAD. birthday is in DADGAD capo 2. emo songs was EG#BF#BD# (as well as almost all of the midwest pen pals songs)
i am an all knowing wizard of the emos- these powers were bestowed upon me at birth when i came out of the womb with a beanie on my head and a copy of american fooballs self titled in one hand and pabst BR in the other
Do you know what tuning william bonney plays in? I think it's dadgad but I cant tell if its that or just drop d with two guitars. how about park jefferson or oliver houston? So many bands, so many tunings. it's so hard to learn to play these songs lol
idk about racism but i know he stole and pocketed a lot of money from the labels he was signed to (which a lot of the time were very diy one-man indie labels (so essentially he was just stealing money))
I once saw him call a friend the n word, ending in a in an acoustic session, ua-cam.com/video/GH2IxXuiDfI/v-deo.html. To be fair it was sort of instigated by the other guy saying it off of camera and this was back in the early 10s when almost anyone who played videogames would say the n or f word.
Hollyyyy it’s like I’m looking into a core memory

@Ian Aberbach did you listen to William Bonney? Basically the spiritual successor to this project.
@aidan it’s not 2012 move on i dont agree with things certain musicians have done, but u defintely deprive urself of good music if u equate the musicians themselves to the actual music. major example is Burzum dont agree with varg but the music is amazing

why doesnt jack face the crowd? Did he have stage fright?
I don't really know, I think it's more of an aesthetic thing really
Yea usually these midwest bands play without a stage and so they are completely surrounded by people. So there is alot of practical uses such as getting air lol and the cord not getting ripped out of the mic as easy. But yes also the emo aesthetic is at play.
@MemesAreDreams but like what do you consider real emo😂😂 I'm kidding but you right.
