Oh my gosh... I am not sure how I ran across you but you are a lifesaver! I am on my fifth year of teaching and 50yo. HUGE learning curve with technology since when I received my undergraduate degree in business, we didn't even use computers! I will be spending my days watching all your videos. Thank you so much... this has been a lifeline for sure!
Hi Michelle, I love your tutorials they are so user friendly and easy to follow. Where I live we found out 15 mins before school finished that the whole country would be moving into a Level 4 Lock-down for 4 weeks. Myself along with my colleagues really got caught off guard. We have just been told that we are to now deliver online digital learning for another 4 weeks. I was just starting to understand Google Classroom when the above happened. So finding your tutorials online has been a lifesaver and I get so excited after listening to you loving this different teaching platform being of an earlier generation. I listen repeatedly to your tutorials always learning something new the next time. So thank you :)
I have to let you know something now, Michelle. I am a Middleschool teacher from Germany. Not only do I LOVE your videos because of your personality... you made me rethink my whole teaching with your videos about Google-Classroom, Organizing Google Drive and Online Tools. I was never much into technology, but I must say, when the new schoolyear starts here in Germany in September... I will SO be prepared for a new approach to teaching. :-D Just wanted to say, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am pretty sure, that you have a great IMPACT on your students... but never forget the impact you have on teachers all around the world. :-*
Thanks Michelle! I am a special educational instructional assistant trying to find ways to help our teachers with remote teaching. Your videos really help me get up to speed on all this technology. Thanks to you I am going to put on my own pair of positive pants and do what I can to help our kids. Hugs.
Ms. Ferré, I saw the video yesterday and I immediately went and worked on Google Slides and made my first video for my kids during this hard time with another app you mentioned in the video. Thanks. Mrs. Nieves 3rd grade teacher from Texas
My sister and I cannot thank you enough for your explicit tutorials. We are not tech savvy at all, and this remote teaching is completely overwhelming us. Watching your tutorials has been extremely beneficial during this trying time. I teach second grade, and my sister teaches fourth grade, and our school system is recommending Google Classroom! We are pretty much on our own to figure it out! When our colleagues ask us how we are learning, we tell them our friend, Michelle, is helping us, and then we send them your way! 🙂Thank you for showing how to make a Google Slide for students to type on! Even more so, we appreciate your time as we know you are going through the same situation plus creating videos! Your guidance has been invaluable! You deserve a raise! Lucky students to have such an amazing teacher! Thank you!
Wow! Thank you so much for this video and your other videos about distance learning. Like most of us teachers, I have been thrust into distance learning suddenly and without any training whatsoever. I've been a fan of yours for some time, and you never disappoint. One of the main reasons I love your videos is that you get to the point immediately and you're very professional. I value my time and you understand and respect that about other teachers. Thank you for all that you do!
I have several educators in my immediate family and the resources you outlined are both timely and extremely useful. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing and let's all take care of ourselves so we can take care of others.
In the school I work in, we are using Zoom for online sessions with students and Google Classroom for assignments, quizes and homework. I also upload recorded lessons on UA-cam, for my students who couldn't attend the online session. I miss having personal interactions with my students but as long as they are safe, I am happy.
I have been watching your videos non stop!! Thank you soooo much. I'm in CA and we are closed for the year. I have been teaching for 29 years---so....I am not good at technology because we did not use it when I started. You are my lifesaver. ALL of your videos are amazing!
Thanks for always sharing your ideas. My grade level is meeting everyday using zoom to meet with our students who want to see us or each other. We meet for 30 minutes and parents are welcome to join. The purpose is for anyone to ask us if they are having difficulties with assignments we have posted in google classroom. We love it.
This is great - I'd like to see separate tutorials on each of these sites - cause I am old - and you're going fast and I am wanting to adapt and join the tech age and know what I am doing. Thank you so much, signed an old teacher that can learn new tricks.
I would love to see a google classroom lesson from the teacher's perspective of creating the lesson, the student's perspective of completing the lesson, and back to the teacher's perspective for grading the lesson. It is difficult to know what type of lessons to post when we are not sure what students see or how they will complete it so we can grade and return it.
Hi Michelle, I'm sorry you won't be doing your Vlogs. However, I've learned a lot from your videos and they have been helpful. I wish you the best of luck and continue pursuing your dreams. I've been a teacher for 23 years and I've had many roadblocks. The best thing to do is to go right through the people who tell "You can't..." . Just keep moving forward.
One fantastic teacher! Your videos are truly give me the shot in the arm to be the best that I can be for our kiddos during this crazy time. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos...I can know go into a virtual learning platform with confidence.
Hey, Michelle, I am a spec ed teacher who retired and but I just recently I returned to teaching. I did not sign up to be a techie. But now I am. Thank you so much for sharing your clear instruction.
Thank you so much!!! As a first grade teacher, your google classroom tip videos have been invaluable! I never thought I would be asking my first graders to become familiar with technology like this! Zoom has been hilarious with this group! I have started meeting in smaller groups to allow good discussion and to navigate the ones who love to use zoom time to walk around their house to show me things. HA! Keep up the fantastic work! YOU have been a blessing to me!
You are a Legend! As my kids would say. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and skills. I’m inspired by your attitude and using at least half of tools that you’ve presented. The rest are on my list. Thanks!
Hi Michelle! This is my first year teaching and since I found your channel am a fan of your videos. All your topics are so helpful. Thank you for your time in putting them together.
I like all your videos. I am starting to learn how to create digital materials for distance learning. Your videos serve as my guide. Thank you so much.
Michelle, thank you sooo much for your videos. I am learning so many things not only for the quarantine, but I'm creating resources for when I get back into the classroom. You are wonderful!
Michelle! You are awesome. I had previously taught first grade for many years. Now I’m in my 2nd year of 4th grade and you videos are so helpful. Thank you!
zoom also has a break out feature where you can put them in groups and they can break out into different rooms and the host can go in and out of those rooms to see what the people in those groups are doing. The people in those groups can also ask the host a question and ask the host to come into the room for help. And then the host can have the people come back into the original room after the break out groups are done. Really cool
At the kindergarten level in upstate NY, we've been using Zoom for social interaction and Screencastify . We mainly use Seesaw (not mentioned) for instruction. Thanks for sharing the whiteboard apps--those were new to me!
Thank you for sharing your tips for distance learning. I found them very helpful and looking forward to using many of them. I also teach in Maryland, so this is great that our district supports most of your different application.
I love how your so positive when going through a really tough time. That’s a good thing. I get so inspired by you and whenever I’m down I always watch you and it always cheers me up. Thank you. Stay safe and keep doing what your doing xxxxx
I've just found this video and really enjoyed it on a number of reasons: the tools you provided, your energy, your professionalism. I've already subscribed. Thanks for sharing. Hugs from Patagonia, Argentina
Thanks a bunch, Michelle!!! You're simply the best!! Awesome tips. I can't imagine my teaching without your help anymore. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for being so generous.
Great video, I learned about a few new programs to use for this summers ESY program at my school and for the following RSY. One thing I wanted to mention with ZOOM if a student, teacher, or para is using a chrome book they will not be able to use the white board feature on zoom. They can still use the shared screen option though. Our students like to share their Prodigy games with each other to see what levels they are on, or gems and pets they have earned.
I’m surprised you didn’t include seesaw. That’s what we are using, and I love it! I’ve always used it with my students during centers. Very user friendly.
Overseas in Asia now. Got stuck here. We start online in May. Now going crazy trying to catch up to online skills and options for instruction. Thank you so much for the life raft and springboard!
Since my school closed, I've tried 3 of these websites -Zoom, Google Classroom and Meet. I am not a techie at all, but I'm making it work. I'm a teacher and a mom, so I have no choice, but to figure it out. Thank you for your suggestions. I have always loved your teacher blogs. I have watched your other tech videos on how to organize a google drive, how to set up Google Classroom and Tips and tricks for Google Classroom. They have helped me tremendously. Thank you. ❤
Hi Michelle thanks for making this video. Here In New Jersey we are going on our third week in remote teaching google classroom is working out great so far.My district was originally gonna be closed for 2 weeks now we are closed indefinitely.Hope you are hanging in there through all of this and hope you stay well
Love your tools here... one workaround for uploading PDFs into Jamboard is to open the PDF in Mac Preview, then Export it as a PNG or JPG. [Preview > File > Export > Format: PNG/JPG] Then upload it to Jamboard!
Love your videos! Although I teach in higher education, we have the same parameters of being online. Your videos have been a lifesaver as I have had to flip a face-to-face course very quickly! Thank you!
Thank you so much for all of your tutorials! I have learned more from your videos than I have in the last year tech-wise. You are truly a wealth of knowledge!
Just wanted to say thank you for template for Google Slides to use with vocabulary words! I used it today for 7th and 8th grade and I'm thrilled with the results! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for all your videos and TeacherpayTeachers offerings! I have been following you for awhile and have gotten so many tricks that are truly life savers!!!
I'm at the early stages and have tried a few things. You mentioned links in a description box, but I just see comments. Really, I'm old school, but teachable!!! I just have to hit replay 5 times to catch the fast details. Thanks for sharing your skills. Kathy
I teach Grade 2. I’m using Class Dojo and it’s Portfolios. I’ve been using Dojo all year as a means of communication and behavior monitoring. But it does so much more .... and it’s user friendly.
I'm using zoom for teaching high school. Google meet is easy but it hard to control a lot of students. zoom gives you a more structured environment. I have to try to flip a lot my friend's teacher says is good. I'm using also google classroom for resources and assignments. Your videos are right on the target. You also right depends on the school is how we are teaching remotely. Thank you. I like your videos.
This looks great.I'm new to this but have to get with the programme given the health crisis. Thanks for the info. You can be sure I'll be reviewing this several times. Teaching on line is a totally new experience for me and you are going to be a great help. Thanks and take care.

zoom also has a break out feature where you can put them in groups and they can break out into different rooms and the host can go in and out of those rooms to see what the people in those groups are doing. The people in those groups can also ask the host a question and ask the host to come into the room for help. And then the host can have the people come back into the original room after the break out groups are done. Really cool
