If you compared medical knowledge to building a house. Anatomy is the foundation. The base. It makes the whole thing stand and remain steady. Dr Morton you make it real.
I am in PA school currently in my GI module and you sir have saved me SO MUCH TIME in understanding the GI system. Thank you for keeping your videos engaging and having great imaging and analogies.
i’m on my way to becoming a pathologist assistant and these videos have seriously helped me with the 3d positioning of certain organs without being in lab. thank you so much!
I'm so glad I have your videos to refer to while I go through my MBBS, they have become an unskippable part of my study routine. I'm sure I'll be coming back to these much later because of the concept clarity and the organization. Thank you so much for making these!!!!
I love it when doctor also shows some history even about little ducts, its just amazing because after that its impossible to forget about their names , thanks dr i passed my first year of med school now I'm watching u again. Love from Pakistan ❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EDUCATING ME TODAY MAY 22, 2023 I HAVE LONGED TO KNOW HOW MY BODY PARTS WORKS, NOW YOU HAVE GRANTED MY WISH. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT YOU ALWAYS
I’ve never seen a video that explains anatomy, histology and physiology of the GI tract this good. Everything makes so much more sense now! Thank you dr Morton, you’ve helped me to get to love anatomy. God bless you
I've been studying for myself to understand the changes my body is going though in this stage of my life my lavido, sphincters & the corrlation to G.I. tact, Guy definitely doesn't leave any infomation in the wind or a inclination to wonder astray from the unique physiology of human body & its functions, I wish I could get this dude to look at my guts for few & maybe 30:mins to talk about what's going on with me
I don’t know how long ago this was made. I had knee replacement surgery and didn’t have near the problems she had. I went home day of surgery. Yes there was pain involved. I slept pretty well and did sleep in my bed. I did require a lot of help for over 6 weeks. It does take time to recover for sure. I’m at 4 months post surgery. I have met all the requirements that Physical Therapy stress. That being said, I am still in therapy to continue my mobility and strength. Everyone is different and Some do better than others. So far I’m pretty happy with the surgery decision.
Thank you for this video! I am studying nutrition. This is the first video I have come across that I understand. You presented it very well. I look forward to watching the other vids. Thank you very much !
Hello sir , I'm paramedical student.... this video is very useful to me... and I understood my topics through ur clear explanation sir.... 🥰tq... sir....
29:47 What happens to the glycerol portion of the TG after the digestive enzyme frees the 3 fatty acids? 36:18 I am reassessing how my gastric distress comes about from time to time, and I find this video quite fascinating. There's always more to learn🙂
Here is the "Digestive system" playlist. It contains video tutorials that go into Celiac trunk, SMA, IMA, hepatic portal system, innervation in more detail: ua-cam.com/play/PLF2PbpJOr9t13AtgUmOnwxEcd7F3YjR7_.html
Everything is good soo damn good . Hats off to the information you are giving. The only problem is your deep voice. It's so distracting 🤧 but anyhow thank you for the information 🤍
I am teaching at a nursing programme and find your video really useful. I would like to ask you if I could share it on our teaching platform for students to be able to watch it. Thanks and great job :)
I have a big doubt about the absorption of anything directly in the stomach. Despite the fact that all the medical literature says that there is a primary absorption of nutrients, a sound mind and analysis of the processes occurring in the stomach tells us that this cannot be. Turning on the logic, we evaluate the process taking place there - the stomach secretes acid and then the substance - ENVELOPING THE SURFACE OF THE STOMACH - to protect against this acid. All food in the stomach is mixed with acid (from which the stomach is protected) So now how can an acid cocktail be absorbed if there is an acid barrier?
That's really amazing! I really enjoy while studying..I literally use these to study and even take notes ..these are very helpful 💜👏 ...so thank you so much for these and for this amazing effort and I hope you a great life and health ♥️....All thumbs are up 💜(or should I call it "abducted ",isn't it ? 😅)

Thanks Darrell
Sure, and that's why anatomy motto says: "Anatomicus teneo medicus" it means "Anatomy is the bedrock of medicine".😊
Why Medical schools don't use such beautiful and interesting way of teaching..... Mind blowing just hats off
You're right...medical schools' staff loves to complicate everything and snow students under 25 tons of information
As a medical student, I have found your videos very helpful. Thank you for making it easier to understand. And I love how pleasant your voice is. 😘
You should promote and monitize that channel of yours 👊🏻

Does the stomach have to digest all the food in order to expel it, or can it expel the digested food while the undigested food remains inside it?
It can move food along that is not totally digested. In fact, that is the norm as majority of food is digested in the duodenum

why is the position of the liver at 22:57 upside down?
It’s as if you were looking at the liver from the view of the feet. In other words, that’s the inferior or visceral surface of the liver.
Will this be on the test?
Than you for your efforts 👌
Please proceed and add nerves supplies vessel supplies in detail
