This is an insane amount of distortion. I have the new HK guitar so I kinda want the matching pedal but I'm struggling to imagine how this could work in a mix. It's sooo dirty, lol! Thanks for showing it at different gain levels. I'm impressed that Fender made something so incredibly distorted. I wasn't expecting this at all.
@shawnveneziano9013 Thank you for clarifying. Not even gonna pretend I know what the difference is. Sounds kinda similar to my Hammertone fuzz, but I am not a fuzz specialist. Hammertone is my first and only fuzz, so far I love it. Who knows, I might buy more fuzzez (fuzziez? Fizzles?) in the future 🤣
Yes, essentially. It's possible there are a few small modifications to the circuit, but it's close enough in design to the original Hammertone Fuzz that Fender is using the same PCB for the Hello Kitty Fuzz and just leaving the octave chunk of the circuit out
@@shawnveneziano9013Thanks. I was in a celebratory mood from having a day off and went ahead and said hello to this kitty. Sounds like it will scrape the rust off my strings and clean its claws on my ears.

This sounds gnarly, I love it!
Great now I have to fight the urge to buy this
So it's missing the octave switch and has a cat drawing instead?
Noice!
Hammer is TRANSISTOR SILICON based. This one is OP-AMP based. They are different circuits entirely.

I have the white version.. inside it has a 2021 date stamp code on the pcb.. make of that what you will
Is it just the Hammertone minus the octave?
No. The Hammertone is Transistor Silicone based. All the guides/docs on this say it is Op-Amp based. So this is closer to a Big Muff or a Rat.

@@shawnveneziano9013 some have compared schematics and say it's the same pedal. It even sounds the same.
