I want to go out and buy this book today! Peggy Rowe is an extraordinary lady, and Mike Rowe is her extraordinary son! I am crying and thinking about my beloved mother, who passed away in 2006!😢
I lost my mother 6 years ago and miss her everyday!! For 4 years prior to her passing we spent everyday together, it wasn't enough time!! She wanted a "foo foo girl" I was a Tom Boy that rode my horse and fixed motors. She bragged when I plumbed new fixtures and wired new ceiling fans for her but I would indulge her and we would dress to go out for dinner. Her heart broke with mine at the end of my 40+ year marriage, she showed me I was strong by my self to work through it!! God gave us mothers who nurture, love, cry with us through life...we are their legacies!!! Treasure these times...Treasure these memories!!!
I bought 20 copies from my local bookstore. Friends, always keep the block and mortar stores in y’all mind. They sponsor your little league, soccer, drama events in your local schools.
I love you two - see you in heaven (although, I did get to meet Mike at the San Diego airport after the CiscoLive conference a few years back - thanks for the selfie Mike).
And there is the key, they had mutual respect for each other even with how different they were. We have lost that! Somehow everyone feels offended because someone else is different or doesn’t think the same way, or have the same religion, etc. this is how we have lost our way! So sad!
Mike, “Mothers know best!” I know that’s true, because Mom told me so. Now some would call that circular reasoning. I did, but only once. Turns out that Mothers also know where there’s a handy switch. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

I wonder whether Mike found it difficult to find a wife who could live up to the standard his mom set. What a great woman!
Yes she is!
