Alfie's corner in the 1977 Scottish Cup Final led to Celtic's winning penalty goal when Derek Johnstone handled on the line in the goalmouth scramble. Andy Lynch cooly dispatching it.
@Collins Stewart , do you remember daft Archie McPherson just before the penalty was taken saying, "What a NERVE-WRACKING moment this must be for Stewart Kennedy". Nerve-wracking for KENNEDY??? Wouldn't it have been MORESO for Andy Lynch as all the pressure was on him to put Celtic into the lead? Archie made a right WALLOPER of himself that day by showing just how much of a HUN he is.
His great start (mentioned) to 1978/79: I don't know if anyone here was at Celtic Park in September 1978 when we beat Hearts 4-0 and Alfie scored twice, the second a brilliant free kick from just outside the box. He and the fans went crazy. Sunday Mail headline next day was 'Alfie's Back on Song Again'.
Good on Alfie. A Well done vid.something old and not so old content. 👍👍

Graham did you know that was the first penalty Andy Lynch had taken in a game. Not bad in a cup final against them

Nothing much changed eh 😆They try n keep it hidden to no avail.”This is not good enough…..from a rangers point of view”🙄
He used to be a hun but he’s alright now Alfie Alfie 😄🍀🍀
My thoughts exactly.🍀.
I was about to type that. I burst out laughing the first time I heard that at Celtic Park.
A great favourite at Rangers and a lot of fans were not happy when he was shipped to Spurs.

A bigger shocker was to come when Mo done that u-turn and went to IBROX. Never know to this day how he come out of that alive LOL.
I done work in Alfie's house and he told me straight he had no feelings for Celtic none whatsoever
I knew Alfie face Captains rest pub .I’m celtic daft but fair to say Alfie wasn’t. Think there might be regrets of joining truth be told
