There's also another way to do this if you prefer! (Thanks @LegendOJ1_RBLX)
1. Press play in studio
2. Go to StarterPlayer --> StarterPlayerScripts in your play session
3. Copy the RbxCharacterSounds script
4. Press stop
5. Paste the script you copied into StarterPlayer --> StarterPlayerScripts
6. Open the script and change the "Died" sound ID (line 23) to the old one (rbxassetid://1542642349)

Go to properties
And check the READ-ONLY
Then Apply

There's actually a game called "Push Oofs Off A Skyscraper" on Roadblocks, it has the oof sound in it and you also hear the oof sound when dying, I'm not sure if roblox has found it yet and deleted it, but i checked a few weeks ago and it still has oof sound

The reason why they removed it was because they didn’t make the oof sound another person did and that other person sued roblox and they kinda won because roblox removed the oof sound

You can bring back oof but when you update roblox oof sound will gone but you can add oof back again(rules do not force roblox to at oof because if roblox add it back roblox will get copyright strike roblox may shutdown or close)

I found out about this a long time ago, I was searching up how to change your death sound effect, after the oof sound got deleted I wasn't really worried and I did this exact thing, now the OOF can continue its legacy

ive changed the death sound back to the old one in the game's files ever since the new update as well as the old cursors, yes i have to do this every time the game updates, but its the lengths i will go to to make my game exactly as i want it

by spreading this information theres a good chance roblox will try to prevent this sort of thing in the future, possibly ruining texture packs and such though this is probably making a lot of people happy
I dont think ROBLOX would prevent this, people have been doing this stuff for years and it does not effect other people.

Could you make a zip file where you can just regularly extract files to replace it every time you want to play? That would make the process a lot less tedious when the game updates
You litterly have to delete and paste 1 file... I don't get what's so tedious about that lol
@@ElmoPlayss because roblox updates every week and it seems like a hassle to go and redownload a file past it into the folder etc etc so making a zip file for it would allow you to change all the sounds instantly with 2 clicks

I would love to do this. But like you said it will have to be redone every update. I think it’s a great short term solution but it’s not worth it, ik the new death sound is bad. Trust me
