Family Dollar sells alot of the same items that are being sold at our favorite Dollar Store but for cheaper! I measured the inside of my refrigerator, the vegetable bins and my pullout freeze drawer before I bought my refrigerator & freezer bins, it really helped a great deal. I also measured my pantry shelves & cabinet shelves before I bought bins and storage containers for them.
I think stores can get in trouble for intentionally charging more than advertised. In this case it's definitely intentional since multiple items were like that.
I think you're right. It is probably intentional. Dollar Tree and Family Dollar have the same owner.When almost every item is one price, that sort of thing doesn't happen but when prices vary, the games with prices start.

They might’ve been put in the wrong spot I know when I worked at rite aid people would stock the shelves incorrectly
@@1xkoko some of the items have the price on the actual label of the product, those are the ones that are very misleading lol
Hope Family Dollar gets back to you: those extra dollars really add up and they should be concerned about thier stores exercising false advertising. 🙄 As always, Dollar Tree products still rose to the occasion, performing way better than thier more expensive competition.

PRO TIP: put washed fruits in glass airtight clamp container/ jar= fresh for weeks, no mold!!

Great job on showing us the process of getting your fridge in order...and what worked and didn't.
Unfortunately, I've gotten in the habit of checking my receipt before I leave the store, after too many times getting home and finding the advertised price was different from what rang up. I have no problem going back to the aisle and bringing the sale price tag to customer service and requesting a refund!😎. Money is money!💰💰

I bet some of those mini clear tongs from dollar tree in the party table section would do well in each of those fridge fruit bins for the strawberries and blueberries etc. That way kids don’t stick their grubby fingers in the clean fruit. (Mom of 5 kids here, lol!)

The large glass canisters were at Dollar Tree for $1.25, the only reason I remember this is because I was kicking myself for not getting them when I saw them, and now I cannot find them. The price difference you experienced at the check-out, I experienced also somewhere else, I brought it to the Manager's attention and after so back and forth he finally did the right thing and allowed me to purchase the items at the advertised price.

Yes that's what I have had happened to me when shopping at Family Dollar. Their prices are misleading.
I think you did a good job with the organizers.
Roses are red, violets are blue, organizing is fun when we do it with you!
You need to check out mason jar storage for fruits. Strawberries no wash pop in mason jar they stay fresh for 2 weeks (if they don’t get eaten) grapes same thing and 2 weeks later the are crisp like the day you Buy them.
I bought a lot of the family dollar acrylic organizers during the beginning of the pandemic when stores like Burlington, Marshalls, TJMaxx and Ross were closed when I got heavy into organizing.Honestly, for the price you paid in family dollar you could have went to Marshalls and TJMaxx if they are in your area and found similar organizers that better fit your refrigerator etc. There is not a lot of variation with the family dollar organizers. I love the dollar tree organizers with the handle. I use them in my freezer and pantry. I have never found the dollar tree organizers you put your fruit in! I bought something in family dollar two weeks ago that scanned a different price than the display sticker and they changed the price for me. The store you went to definitely should have done that for you.
I got all my containers at the container store and Ross. And I love them.

My husband is a chef and uses some FIFO bottles for condiments. They don’t turn gross inside so that may interest you.
I have an rv fridge so the smaller DT bins are so helpful for me! Those FD bins are gorgeous but they’d be way too big for our fridge.
Love the organizing I’m going to hit my DT and get those bins.

I use canning jars for everything. I have large ones for sugar, flour, etc. I then use them for bulk items. Best part for me is I have a farmhouse style kitchen so I have a crate filled with misc. sizes for my kids to use after opening up anything. This has made me decided to run to Walmart for the gaint ones for our Smart Popcorn and maybe chips. Also, I don't refrigerate our tiny cucumbers and they last longer and I'm in Vegas.

Always get a manager, they have to honor the shelf price. They are going through a lot of increases but it’s not your fault they didn’t pull tag. They will always honor sticker price but might have to be manager.

I put the ribbed liners in my fridge from Amazon and it is a game changer! So much easier to keep clean. I also put it under my sink and it just stays clean!
It A-“rose” to my attention that you’re looking for pasta/spaghetti holders. Dollar Tree now has tall round containers with a blue screw top lid ..which are great. I use a lot of angel hair..and 5 pounds fit in one container!!!
Yes ma'am. The lable should match up with ring up price. That ruffles my feathers. They should have let you have those items for the price shown on the lable.

I know the Family Dollars where I live at ( I live in South Carolina) are notorious for changing the prices in their system without updating the prices shown on the aisle. Whenever I encounter a situation like that, I inform them and they charge me whatever price that's shown on the aisle

They should price adjust for you, I did the same thing last week. The clerk went and checked the shelf price and honored it. They said prices are raising so fast they can'teep up with changing shelf prices. But the policy is to honor shelf. Take screen shots of prices to show at check out

I actually purchased those same acrylic bins that you shared in the beginning for your produce drawer from Burlington $3.99 pk of 2. I also purchased an 18 ct holder acrylic egg bin with lid for $4.99. If you have a Burlington in your area they have reasonable prices for storage containers. Overall I’ll take Dollar Tree storage containers and items any day lol. loved this video, very helpful information shared. Thanks for providing all of the helpful items and information. I found those big acrylic containers at 5 below , they had different sizes and none were more than $5

oh my love it... I need you to come organize my kitchen... heck my craft room as well... :) lol... love your ideas... I know what I want to do to my pantry room... :) God Bless and have a blessed weekend. I have come across alot of things like this with pricing... I do now is takes me abit... but I get something I take pictures now of what it is and price on the shelf... I do this alot with Walmart, though I scan it first and if it's different I take a picture of what the shelf says... and as well... I have found that stockers are getting lazier and just put it anywhere.. it's happening all over sad to say... I have worked food service, retail, for many years.. and have learned to know the ins and outs of the retail business... sad but one trick for sales is up the price for about 2 weeks then put it on sale at the regular price with the up price as regular price.. FYI.... my husband hates to go shopping with me... but now it's getting easier because he is seeing what I mean.. hard to believe what they do anymore... just so sad. I do hope they get back with you on this... if they do great... I have been dealing with my solar ppl for over a year with the mistake they have made.. and proven to them as well... I stopped paying months ago and still haven't tried to fix their billing... they keep blowing me off... I do hope they do you right... anyways.. God BLess and have a great weekend... Prices 'rose' up in so many places, stores can't keep up. On Amazon, ikea, target, family dollar. Inflation is happening. And it's not over.

Great organizing. I think what a lot get misled cause every fridge is different and not all the bins fit in every fridge . I made the same mistake and didn’t measure and just went out and purchased bins. They need to fix their prices…crazy.. I love those dollar tree bins with the handles.. it’s hard finding stuff here in Canada..
