Adrian you are the real deal. That is one of my favorite dishes. Like how you have not forgotten your roots. Next time you can beat the yam before you cut it. It comes out fluffy so you do not have to cut it out and the butter goes between. The vlog made me hungry.

Hi Adrian, it’s too cold in Canada( -22 degree, feels like -31) so we can’t roast yam on the bbq outside, I suppose we could roast yam in the oven? Of course, we won’t get the same flavour, but this dish looks delicious. Enjoy the nice, warm weather.

You should wrap up the yam in foil when you roast yam or breadfruit in the fire like that it taste burn and very dry out that's good for you to do your saltfish like that for the rest of us it's fine to boil it and then take off the skin and we still alive

i wanna make a point, you probably shouldnt use plywood and other impregnated timber when making food on a fire. if you have it in tinfoil its probably ok but food straight on the fire can get poisonous.

The dish has never been salty when I've had it. They remove a lot of salt from the salt fish and don't add a lot of extra salt so it ends up seasoned perfectly. If you ever have the chance to try it, please try it! It is one of the best things I have ever tasted.

I guess like they say a recipe is simply a guide, but you dont have to follow to the T. That being said for the life of me i honestly dont understand the point of it being saltfish, then you gonin with salt; then all purpose that also has sodium.... but to each his own.
