Y'all, I know this is a little.. I mean.. completely ridiculous way of expressing my excitement for the next Animal Crossing game for the Switch, but it can't be helped! This is my favorite series, and I will accept the fact that I just ugly cried on camera over a dumb game that I'll spend hundreds of hours on.

I can tell you from someone who’s older. Don’t expect to feel that different about it just because more time went by. Every Animal Crossing fan, including those who played New Leaf almost every single day for about 3+ years, felt all of this. In almost a cruel way, Nintendo is perfecting the Double Troll when they decide to give the fans exactly what they want. One gets the feeling of saying, “Thank you Nintendo, but I want to throw the thing I’m holding at you right now. Stop with the granting us our hopes and dreams but only after crushing them moments ago.”

I’m 28 and I literally almost cried watching this! Your love for the game got me. The original on the GameCube was my life! I played so many hours on it, no other installment got me the way that one did. Hopefully this one is similar to that one. I can’t wait 🙌🏽

I feel you so much on your reactions. Animal Crossing means so much to me, ah. My first community and friends on the internet were because of Animal Crossing. At E3, and basically every Nintendo Direct since the Switch was released, I was always hoping to see Animal Crossing. I'd almost lost hope, and then the Direct showed it and I was dead.
I’m the same way! The animal crossing community is how I found my husband and one of my best friends! Plus it’s given me such joy and late night game nights with friends over the years :) we’ve been holding hope for a long time, our wishes have finally been answered :)
Part of me was scared that it'd be another spin-off like the Happy Home Designer game? Which was a nice game, but. I wanted a new main title. :P I'm so glad both of our wishes came true! ;)
I mean, that's understandable! We got a year of AC spinoffs, which I think was done to hold us over until this new game came along, honestly. I am sure Nintendo knew they couldn't occupy us much longer! Which I agree, HHD was fun, I played A LOT on that. Amiibo Festival was fun to play with a group of friends who took things way too seriously, but yes, it was time we got the real deal :)
