From someone who only decided to get her after playing her trial stage for quite some time, I'm so far really happy I pulled for her. I have a great TF set and using Black Sword. She feels very flexible in her rotations with TF and even though I usually always play with a lot of defensive utility I managed to easily clear top half using Furina, proto amber Nahida and fischl. She does better single target damage for me then Neuvillette with his signature weapon. BUT my Nahida is C2 which might be the reason, Clorindes talents are 1-5-2... So that probably evens out the C2. I'll have a lot of fun with this character but I think I'll save my primos for C2 Furina instead of Clorinde's weapon

Ultimately I think the big thing about Clorinde is that she's just really dynamic with her gameplay, in that she can just move around so much and she actually feels like a crazy omnislash typhoon with gun shots. And I heckin love this.

I feel like using her with C0 Nahida + Kazuha gives the wrong dmg expectation. Pure agg doesn't need Nahida strong Dendro so Instructor on Baizhu, Collei and Kirara can be used on that slot. Those chars have some utility and work on multiwaves. Then Kazuha can be changed for Hakushin Sucrose and lose only the grouping (which isn't that strong for most of side 1). In some way, i think players are using the top dogs for other teams and are expecting the same results, but those chars aren't as effective for Clorinde as they're for Alhaithan or Neuvi for example. Also her synergy with Beidou isn't talked about much.
Yup chlorinde is not powercreeping keqing and instead is a side grade to her. I tried both and my clear time was pretty much samw except i died alot with chlorinde because somebody from hoyo thought a healing nerf on her beta was a good idea
@ashy5808 also except that ur trash at using clorinde, you've been using keqing for over a year, your clorinde is not anywhere close to keqing investment etc. Keep coping if you think theyre equal but please take into consideration differences between them.
If you speedrun: she's 2-3 seconds faster than Yae unless there are multiple waves If you want to build a team with unused characters, overload team from the Trial (but C6 Thoma + Nobless) runs decently, on par with Raiden-National, so is very worth it!
Alhaitham spread is meh cause he doesn't have his specialised electro units. He doesn't maximise fischl and kuki just applies electro and heal in his spread team. Yae is meh on it. Al best teams as of the moment is quickbloom cause kuki can do hyperblooms. And yae, and furina doesnt apply too much hydro to stop al from doing spreads.
Unfortunately, spread units don't have a good off field electro until now. Sethos could've been the Quicken Chevreuse but Hoyoverse is crazy obsessed in making male characters as pure onfield units
I think the TC community got the tunnel vision from Arlecchino & Neuvillette. Powerful unit that don't entirely dependent on reactions to deliver good damage. Clorinde remind me of Sucrose on steroid ; her flow and function are very "Anemo"eske ; she's a very interesting driver...yet people worship Alhaitham and doom post Clorinde. I wouldn't recommend her for a new player but for a veteran well invested horizontally she's fine at c0 and the fact that she scale horizontally instead of vertically mean future unit could scale that potential significantly. It's a bit like DoT unit in HSR, it's very complicated to juggle that math with all the variables, hence why I favored that path the moment Kafka kit was revealed. Clorinde is in the same vein. Can't wait to see her scale up like Yae in 8 months... . I still can't wrap my head around the nerf she got tho. Makes you wonder what they are cooking in Natlan.
Using 5 star weapons on every support defeats the purpose of a C0 speedrun. That's why people will get an exaggerated impression of her, when she'll be a lot weaker at a relatable c0 investment. You should only use a 5 star weapon on the carry, otherwise there's no relatability.
With that build team anything would feel good. It covers up for many issues in her kit. Once you scale down team buffs it becomes more apparent how squishy and janky she is. Though to her credit she has more team options. Still wierd for them to limit her damage if you consider her drawbacks being at the mercy of genshin auto targeting. Also her very short dps window will promote reckless plays which will lead to a lot of death and frustration since dash has no s. Dated kit compared to Fontain releases.
can you comment on the ease of playing her + her combos? with/without shield and/or resistance to interruption for reference, I can do c0 hu tao jump cancels fine in overworld, but I find myself messing up and sliding past enemies in the abyss. and I'm better with xiao's combos but I do occasionally jump away from enemies too. for clorinde's trial, I was zooming all over the place. which was fun, but sometimes I'd zoom away from the enemy 😂
I think, clorinde is the only fontaine dps which heavily need reactions to do big dmg. Unlike lyney, neuvi, wrio, taylor swift girl, and arlecc which arguably doesnt need reactions to do big steady dmg rivaling a vapor hutao :( im sad by this but if they did made clorinde like the other fontaine dps, then she would be too cracked with aggravate alone 😂 but still :(
Seems a lot trickier to get buffs from Kazuha onto Fischl then with Keqing, where you can use a single E from Keqing at start to give both electros the DMG% buff from Kazuha, unless maybe her burst could be used at start but I'm guessing that isn't great for whatever reason (have not played her at all yet, do not know her kit at all!) I will never understand why Kazuhas DMG buff is something that uses snapshot style rules when practically every other Damage buffers do not, seems like a big error but not like they are going to change it.
beause it specifically buffs the element it swirls. anything that is in character stats screen can be snapshotted, and since dmg% is specifically not there it cant be snapshotted, except for some notable mentions like Serpent Spine

I still hope there's some team piece missing. In the last video you've showed 62s c0 Keqing speedrun same half, so 80s for limited character is kinda underwhelming imo.
that keqing run had c2 nahida and 5 star weapons on teammates, and the alhaitham run iirc had ideal gear with c2 nahida and c1 furina also. this clorinde run is not even close to the same level of investment

Also, it's day 1, so it's a bit early to be conclusive on her. Even though, I don't feel she's that much of an improve, time will tell. In any case, she's a unit with the best vertical investment being C2 Nahida lolge She for sure has "better investment" herself on pulling her Signature and Cons than Keqing has. She's a bit what Arlecchino is to Hu Tao, very similar, but with more dolphin/whaling potential

she keeps dying on me. I found Zhongli instead of kazuha is a comfort support. Also thundering furry might have lower damage but it makes her rotation really smooth. No wonder they nerfed her due to thundering furry.

@@jamiekb9v i agree with that but unlike Arlecchino, people were now able to pre-farm for clorinde so they have a more complete character to try from day 1, so I don't think opinions will change too much. and personally, i also think that this abyss does not benefit her at all, so maybe the impression will not change until triple kenki and coppelius leave.
Tbh, Clorinde has better AoE due to her piercing shots. I've also found that she can do both of Keqing's short and long rotations (the one where you open with your carry and the one where you open with Fischl before swirling with Kazuha). She's kinda in the middle between Yae and Keqing. Yae's totems and Burst get better with more enemies but her damage doesn't skyrocket as much against single target, whereas Keqing can drive Fischl better in single target but her E Skill + CA combo can't really hit that many enemy who are too far apart. Clorinde lands right in the middle. With that said, I was using the 4-pc Whimsy set. I could probably sacrifice her personal damage by going with 4-pc TF - which apparently results in a higher team damage.

There's absolutely no way Sara is better than Fischl in aggravate 🤨 Fischl is the sole driving force behind the archetype, ditching her would cut its efficiency nearly in half. Sara can be slightly better than her in hyper comps, and that's it.
fyi Sara is only better than Fischl for Keqing aggravate if : - your Keqing is hyperinvested (i'm talking C6 + mistplitter + goated artifacts) - and her other supports are also crazy good (something like a really strong C2 Kazuha, or a C2 Nahida) - and there's more than one target since Fishcl shines most against a single target So realistically speaking, Sara is almost never better than Fischl for Keqing, so with Clorinde being so similar to her I would have to imagine that the same is true for her as well, although she does have way stronger cons than Keqing, so getting a few might trump the cards in favor of Sara but i'm not too sure either
@@clementlassalle4317 untrue. Keqing would only need r1 and 2+ targets for sara to be competitive. Even in sheets, the difference in single target is like 2k dps. Jamie did a video on this awhile back too Agg keqing isnt even a strong single target team. It will do better in aoe far better than it will be in single target especially when kazuha is in the set up
some people in twitch chat were discussing it but I don't think i can recommend it at the moment, it has straight up a lot less raw stats than her signature and idk how it performs in practice
The thing with quickbloom is that it takes time to ramp up. Like here Jamie is clearing stuff withing 20 sec so the need for longer rotations isn't felt. I think a boss like asimon would rather be played with qb but then again with proper gear you could reach 2m threshold in one rotation aggravate too. Point being Jamie likes speed runs and there aggravate is faster than qb.@@rascalvo
I mean FS doesn't do much there, idk why would you say that cuz those aren't very good times for a 5 cost team, maybe ill go down to around 70sec with her signature weapon and set, wich is not bad, but still not impresive. She's basically Keqing but with more aoe and real constelations.
The Duration nerf was so awful and you can see it. It's really a shame that outside of a well oiled perfect rotation she just feels so bad and there's nothing you can do to fix it. TF helps, but still. There's so many issues with her that DID NOT have to happen, but she's hot, so people will pull, enable HYV to do this shit, and it will happen again and and again and again. Just glad that my Harbinger D riding paid off. Childe, Wanderer, and Arle have no BS and are just great. Skipped Clorinde and saving for CapHIMtano now, our GOAT.

Actually managed to do an insane run like the one jamie did and when I tried to replicate it, I died like 20 times oneshot then gave up xd
Chlorinde heals alot , and you can just avoid the ice kenki blast others damage low and hard to hit you

it can be both good but also a hinderance if you make a mistake. its too early to say but perhaps has a higher skill ceiling but lower skill floor than keqing i suppose?

I still hope there's some team piece missing. In the last video you've showed 62s c0 Keqing speedrun same half, so 80s for limited character is kinda underwhelming imo.
that keqing run had c2 nahida and 5 star weapons on teammates, and the alhaitham run iirc had ideal gear with c2 nahida and c1 furina also. this clorinde run is not even close to the same level of investment

As you can see, Tactical Nuke has a C2 R1 Nahida, which makes the times not comparable.
Also, it's day 1, so it's a bit early to be conclusive on her.
Even though, I don't feel she's that much of an improve, time will tell. In any case, she's a unit with the best vertical investment being C2 Nahida lolge
She for sure has "better investment" herself on pulling her Signature and Cons than Keqing has.
She's a bit what Arlecchino is to Hu Tao, very similar, but with more dolphin/whaling potential

she keeps dying on me. I found Zhongli instead of kazuha is a comfort support. Also thundering furry might have lower damage but it makes her rotation really smooth. No wonder they nerfed her due to thundering furry.
I am stuck at 79 CR and 169 CD... Idk if I can push her further as a free to play maybe I need to increase the damage of my other characters first.

How does Clorinde's damage compare to Keqing's?
Pretty similiar, both good just dont forget to put fischl
clorinde has more dmg but not that much and keqing has more flexibility and survivability
Tbh, Clorinde has better AoE due to her piercing shots. I've also found that she can do both of Keqing's short and long rotations (the one where you open with your carry and the one where you open with Fischl before swirling with Kazuha).
She's kinda in the middle between Yae and Keqing. Yae's totems and Burst get better with more enemies but her damage doesn't skyrocket as much against single target, whereas Keqing can drive Fischl better in single target but her E Skill + CA combo can't really hit that many enemy who are too far apart. Clorinde lands right in the middle.
With that said, I was using the 4-pc Whimsy set. I could probably sacrifice her personal damage by going with 4-pc TF - which apparently results in a higher team damage.

its only day 1 but sara looks better that fischl for overload rather than aggravate
There's absolutely no way Sara is better than Fischl in aggravate 🤨 Fischl is the sole driving force behind the archetype, ditching her would cut its efficiency nearly in half. Sara can be slightly better than her in hyper comps, and that's it.
fyi Sara is only better than Fischl for Keqing aggravate if :
- your Keqing is hyperinvested (i'm talking C6 + mistplitter + goated artifacts)
- and her other supports are also crazy good (something like a really strong C2 Kazuha, or a C2 Nahida)
- and there's more than one target since Fishcl shines most against a single target
So realistically speaking, Sara is almost never better than Fischl for Keqing, so with Clorinde being so similar to her I would have to imagine that the same is true for her as well, although she does have way stronger cons than Keqing, so getting a few might trump the cards in favor of Sara but i'm not too sure either
Sara setups take too long and her ER needs are too high so you lose a lot of front load damage from Sara as well.
@@clementlassalle4317 untrue. Keqing would only need r1 and 2+ targets for sara to be competitive. Even in sheets, the difference in single target is like 2k dps. Jamie did a video on this awhile back too
Agg keqing isnt even a strong single target team. It will do better in aoe far better than it will be in single target especially when kazuha is in the set up
A lot of people are doubting her, I thinkk she's on par with Arle but she has a small learning curve.

as good as her signature set if you do proper rotations with cooldown advantage
some people in twitch chat were discussing it but I don't think i can recommend it at the moment, it has straight up a lot less raw stats than her signature and idk how it performs in practice
it enables 25s rotation with Fischl so, in theory can be better dps with a longer rotation
The thing with quickbloom is that it takes time to ramp up. Like here Jamie is clearing stuff withing 20 sec so the need for longer rotations isn't felt. I think a boss like asimon would rather be played with qb but then again with proper gear you could reach 2m threshold in one rotation aggravate too.
Point being Jamie likes speed runs and there aggravate is faster than qb.@@rascalvo

The Duration nerf was so awful and you can see it. It's really a shame that outside of a well oiled perfect rotation she just feels so bad and there's nothing you can do to fix it. TF helps, but still. There's so many issues with her that DID NOT have to happen, but she's hot, so people will pull, enable HYV to do this shit, and it will happen again and and again and again. Just glad that my Harbinger D riding paid off. Childe, Wanderer, and Arle have no BS and are just great. Skipped Clorinde and saving for CapHIMtano now, our GOAT.
