Just got done building this, it was super easy and looks great, can’t wait to put my tomatoes in it! I used 11 2x4 to build it, The only dimension I didn’t see on the video was where to put the lower cross pieces and the stringers to support the buckets, I put my lower cross pieces 17” down from the top and with the stringer on it the bucket seems to sit at a good height. Thanks for the video I’m sure we’ll be enjoying this bucket garden for years to come!
I love this design. I see you live in the same city as me. I was wondering if you build them to sell? I want two but don't have the time or tools to build them myself.
Sorry, I think I’m one and done on this. I’m concentrating on getting over prostate surgery and then back to building acoustic guitars. Thanks for watching and if some of my woodworking friends are interested in building these I’ll let you know.
Thank you for this information and making it so clear and concise. I am getting ready to do my first bucket garden and this is exactly what I need!!! Many of the designs I see use the top stringers to support the bucket weight. I like the idea of supporting from the bottom better.
Do you happen to know the inside or outside measurement from the top cross stretchers to the bottom cross stretcher on each end? Thanks a bunch for making this video, it’s very helpful.
So sorry for the delay; just noticed I stopped receiving notifications, apparently a long time ago. If you still need those measurements I can get them for you.
@@DavidLovesMichelle10 if I am understanding correctly, from the bottom of the top cross stretcher to the top of the bottom cross stretcher is 12 1/4”. Is that what you need?
I was going to measure them but watched the video again and about 23 seconds in it shows 27”, 26” if you want the buckets closer together. Does that help?

Excellent! Glad you got yours built and glad you got something from the video. Thanks again for watching and sharing! 😁
Thanks for sharing. Built mine today. But I left the long stretchers 8ft and put 14 buckets. Less cutting and more growing. Thanks for sharing though.
By far the easiest build I’ve seen so far. This is the way I will build my bucket garden. Thank you for an excellent video on the subject. 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
@@ImRmed2 Thanks for watching and for the comment! Hope your build goes smoothly!😀
Thank you so much for taking the time to make and film this. This is exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks!!
Great - thanks for watching! It was a simple and fun build, especially with the boys doing most of the work. The longer video is a bit entertaining.
Slap some cedar pickets on the outside to hide the plastic and that should work in any HOA hood.
Fortunately, it can’t be seen unless you’re in our backyard. Good idea, though! Thanks for your comment and for watching the video!

Thank you for this! You got a new subscriber and upvote!
Thank you so much for that! I'm way behind on posting new videos because of recent surgery (not able to be in the shop) but I'll be back soon.
These are perfect for my wife's 5 gallllon buckets
Hope yours works out like this one did - fun to build!
How far down are the bottom braces from the top of the boards?
I can measure that for you tomorrow if that’s ok.
@@difalkner yes sir thank you!
Had to wait for the rain to stop... the space between the top 2x4 and bottom 2x4 is 12". Is that what you needed?
So good of you to teach the boys something useful🥰
We had a blast! Thank you for watching and commenting! 😁

@difalkner if you could find the measurements it would be great!!

Amazing! Thank you for sharing!
You are most welcome - thanks for watching! Go build one and post it so we can see!
@@difalkner Quick question: If I use the entire length of the 8-foot 2x4, would this stand hold 7 buckets instead of 6 in a row?
Well done.
Thank you!! 😁
What was the measurement of the lower cross pieces

How boards did you have to buy and length
Seems like I bought 14 2x4s 8’ feet long and had two left over. Thanks for watching and asking about this stand!
