In a world of pandemics (today is July 3, 2020), it's very RARE to find simple HONESTY! I don't mean because Jeff speaks about the Question of the Eternal Father and Saviour, but that his way of talking about the Heart of all of us, where love LIVES, is SIMPLE. You can't listen to him without HEARING HIM.

When YOU are hollow, everything in your life feels hollow too and nothing can fill it. When you are dead inside nothing can fix it, the best we can do is distract ourselves with entertainment and drugs or whatever else. We aren't complete and need something added to us to live. Also, I was moved when he said something like- if you think acrimony is bad, apathy is so much worse.
Now I realize this is why i love this guy, what a testimony. May God continue to bless you sweetheart.

It took me to be a Christian for 35yrs to hear the word from a teacher that changed me that taught the word I had listened to someone behind the pulpit all that time and accepted what I heard without question

A finer example of the story of Job in modern life, I haven't heard.
Jeff, I want to be honest. I felt something just smack me when I watch this because I know what it is like to be smacked around and I became a person that did the same thing. What hurt me was not the physical part, it was the fact that when I was in high school, I became addicted to alcohol and drugs all because I didn't want to deal with anything that happened because I was angry at God and blamed Him for it, then I blamed myself for everything that went on. That was my breaking point but something was missing and I was scared to go after it. What started it was a funeral for a friend and I was depressed and thoughts of suicide came to my mind and I kept asking myself is this it, or is there more to this? All I heard is that still small voice that said I love you and I have a plan but you need me. As for everything else, You weren't alone, I was carrying you the whole time. So I surrendered and yet before I started writing about God yet I never knew Him personally. Thank you.

Tom Nelson from Denton Bible Church in Denton Texas, my previous church before I moved. Gifted preacher. Check their media ministry on their website. The Ecclesiastes series is pretty old but they'll probably have it converted to CD. Might even be able to stream it.
You probably know this already but God can use people & sermons to draw us unto Himself but the best place to know Him is by reading/studying His word and talking to Him in prayer. Most of us have been where you are, myself included. You're not alone although I imagine you feel that you are. Hope you won't mind me lifting you up in prayer right now.

Obviously you would have to believe that as a Christian, as do I, it’s just very interesting how God has His methods for each of us and some seem to take a long time (to us) to come together and for us to be ultimately saved and to have our hearts changed by The Lord.
