  • Just watching steam trains go by in some glorious countryside.
Shot mostly at the Bluebell Railway with a few clips of mainline steam. First there are a series of 'tasters' followed by a more leisurely look. But turn it up LOUD!
    Tasters:

    Standard Class 4 2-6-0 No. 76017.
    Standard Class 4 Tank 2-6-4 No. 80151
    Standard Class 5 4-6-0 No. 73082 'Camelot'
Stanier 'Black 5' 4-6-0 No. 48171 with a Main line excursion.
    Maunsell Q class 0-6-0 No. 30541
    A more leisurely look:
    - Three shots of visiting GWR Hall Class No. 6989 Wightwick Hall hard at work out from Horsted Keynes.
    - 0-4-4 H class tank engine No. 263, (featuring man with ladder)
    - Q class 0-6-0 running down with a train of 3 Bulleid coaches and one older from the LBSC.
    - Std 4T 2-6-4 Brighton built tank engine No.80151 coasting , then working hard back up the line to East Grinsted.
    - Visiting Brighton Terrier 0-6-0T No. 11 and O1 class 0-6-0 No 65 canter downhill with a Sheffield Park bound train of three immaculate Maunsell coaches.
    - A Long leisurely look at Q class 0-6-0 30541 climbing up and past Horsted Place crossing.

    - Std 5 4-6-0 No. 73156 working hard in the opposite direction.Visiting for the Giants of steam gala.
    - Std 4 2-6-0 No. 76017 also visiting for the Giants of steam gala galloping up past Vaex End double heading with Q class 0-6-0 30541.
and with Std 4 2-6-4T gliding down Freshfield Bank
    - Std 4 2-6-0 No. 76017 powering up the 1 in 75 Frehfield Bank
and backing a light goods train under Leamland Bridge into Horsted Keynes station
    - Std 5 4-6-0 No. 73078 'Camelot' Powers out of Horsted Keynes and under Leamland bridge with a mixture of 7 South Eastern and Chatham Railway and Metropolitan Railway coaches.
    - Black 5 4-6-0 No. 48171 chatters across Ditchling Common on a London to Eastbourne excursion
and is seen again running past Southerham with Mount Caburn rising above it.
    - Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 No. 35028 'Clan Line' braking for a signal check with the Belmont Pullman
The shot I have been waiting years for - Steam in the snow - Q 0-6-0 works a lunchtime 'Golden Arrow' pullman up Freshfield bank in December 2022.
Although shot in 4k (apart from the 1st clip of 6989) I notice UA-cam doesn't always play back at that level of quality. If in doubt click on the settings symbol at the bottom of the screen, click on quality and select the highest shown. (It doesn't work when the adverts are playing).
