The only one of my reptiles that has 'bitten' me is my leopard gecko. In her defense she had only been here about a week at the time. She is now such a sweetheart though, just took her a bit longer than my others to settle in. I would also say Kingsnakes are great to handle as well. I have a lavender albino kingsnake and she's the best. She loves to be handled and never has once bit me. She's great!!! You should do more on Kingsnakes for sure! Great video by the way! I totally agree, all of those animals are awesome!!!! I have a leopard gecko and a bearded dragon as well!!! I also used to have a crested gecko too. Great job 👍😊

4:13 I appreciate the wording of this so much. Recognizing that the identity of the animal is more important than the morph shows why you're a great keeper.
I'm extremely biased but African house snakes are AMAZING!!! The only thing I will say is, much like corn snakes, when they're babies they're a little flighty. That being said, I've had mine for almost a year now and she's been an absolute dream to handle. Extremely curious, great at holding on, and all around wonderful to watch.
I have a pet ball python and she’s very sweet and gentle. I think ball pythons have some of the cutest faces out of all snakes. Even my mom, who’s scared of snakes, thinks my ball python is adorable 😆
Yeah,do the top five most handle-able you never heard of. My gargoyle gecko did bit me a few times as a baby out of fear and once when he hit puberty. He's quite mellow now and a lot like a crestie personality wise. He could have made your list as a honorable mention. What morph is that corn snake? So beautiful!
I would throw uromastyx in to the contenders for number 1, it’s a lot like a beardie but are even less likely to bite, around the same size and I prefer their shape when it comes to holding. But my favorite to hold are cribos far and away, they’re super friendly and very engaging, they normally don’t zip around on you and are incredibly intelligent. They’re also just the right size to me when it comes to an impressive and easy to handle snake. I can’t get enough of my yellow tail
I got my now nine month corn when he was six months old from a local reptile shop who gets his from good breeders and he has NEVER even tried to bite me…it’s all about who you get them from❤
I love leopard geckos. My got sick out of no where and passed away. I got him from a pet store and they tried to talk me out of getting him because he hid all the time and was super anti-social. After working with him he still didn't seek out being held but I could still hold him for like 15 minutes with him being comfortable. He was a great lizard.
8:44 - 8:52 I would be interested in seeing a video on highly handleable reptiles that most people probably never heard of. 🤓🦎 Out of all of these reptiles on the list, the royal pythons would be my pick if I were to take 1 one. 🐍
Only have two tight now but I have a Ball Python and a Central American Boa. My ball, Hera, is very docile and just chills when I handle her. Once when I was handling her I fell asleep (dreary rainy day) and was out for probably 30 minutes. I don't do that often but when I woke back up she had not moved an inch, we both took a little nap it seems. As for my CAB (Krieg), he is younger and likes to explore more often but he wraps around you much more securely, I assume because CABs are true semi arboreal snakes, so I don't need to worry about him dropping to the floor. Of the two I feel Krieg is the more fun one to handle as he is always poking his head around while Hera lives that Pet rock life BP's are known for.
i got here after 50 minutes of this upload and i take absolute pride in that. you don’t need to be fast to enjoy a good reptile content creator. and god knows i love me some handsome bald men! oh and reptiles are cool too.

hi, i just want to thank you for all of the informational vids you've created, i just got my first reptile, a male hognose, and you been a great help with my research. thank you
I went to a small reptile expo, yesterday. There was mainly corn snakes, beardies, crested geckos, ball pythons, and leopard geckos. There was a table that had hognoses (got bit. So cute how they bite.) to to left of the hogs was 4 bins of baby bearded dragons. There yes for sell but also to hold. It was my first expo and I loved it. There was also a lady who had her ball pythons that she was selling just in bins and.you could hold them. My favorite was the banana and some really pale yellow and purply grey snake. Such a good experience.
New subscriber here, I love your channel, it’s very entertaining yet educational. You’ve helped me so much already! Thank you Adam! Also I think we need a tattoo tour one of these days😂 your ink is beautiful & I’m curious about their meanings, when you got them etc. Maybe that’s just me😅
My male crested gecko was given to me a few years ago. He’s up there on age and he has only been able to handle when I first got him but even then our first reaction was him latching onto my hand (gloves were on due to bite warnings from previous owners) and proceeded to chew and chomp to get best grip and he was giving it his all! Now he is maybe 13 or 14 now and he is still as fiery as ever. He is truly velociraptor at heart.
I would love to see videos of your breeding, maybe when they're hatching. My favorite time of year for snake discovery is breeding season. I just love to see the baby reptiles!
When you said corn snakes, I'm surprised you didn't mention the other North American rat snakes. Like yellow rat snakes and Baird's rat snakes - both known for being docile and handleable. Can't wait to own one - we have only had a ball python so far.
Great video!! I love having reptiles that enjoy being handled. My leopard gecko and both my African fat tailed geckos come right over when I open the door of their enclosures. They are probably looking for food, but definitely do not mind coming out to chill.
I know it's not part of this video because I understand they are not the most handle able there is. However when I owned my Iguana, I didn't have a name for him sadly, he was the most amazing reptile I've owned. Never bit me, never tailwhipped me, just enjoyed my presence because I always made sure handling was on his terms. He came to me, I didn't ever swoop in to pick him up. And I was 15-16 when I had him. Sadly he passed because the power went out in my trailer where I lived as I was away, and I miss the little guy, but he's definitely left a wonderful impression on me for the personalities of lizardkind.
I haven't been able to get into reptile keeping yet, but I've been able to handle a few. My favorite to handle so far is the Leachianus gecko. They're so chill and they just kind of vibe in your hands or on your shirt. I also just like holding bigger reptiles because I don't feel like my big, clumsy hands will hurt them 😅 I'm careful with any and all animals I hold, I'm just more comfortable with larger animals that don't feel like touching them with a downy feather will break their bones 😅
Our son has a Bearded Dragon that he adopted because the original owners moved and couldn't take him with them. Bearded Dragons take some work and care but, believe it or not, they do have a great personality. Well Echo does anyway. He's responsive when he sees you and will bang on his enclosure to be let out. He likes to walk around the room you are in and seems to be very interested in your shoes. He does take a lot of special care with food, temperature and humidity of his environment and social interaction. Our son lives 2 hours from us and brings Echo with him when he visits, just to make sure that the lizard stays safe.
Great video! I’d like to add dwarf boas to the list. They’re not crazy big, they’re heavier bodied than a corn snake and they’re placid in my experience.
I have had my ball python for almost a year now. I got him after my leos. He's thr most sweet and easy going reptile I have. I adore him and so dose anyone who holds him!
Growing up I had a blue tongue skink. She was the absolute best reptile! She was already an adult when I got her so I am unsure of her history. We got her from an exotics store that my dad would frequent back in the early 00s that is sadly closed now. But my skink, she would hang out with me while I was doing homework. I usually set her on my shoulder and she would drape across the back of my neck and just chill. I was in charge of her care for the most part and I never had to worry about getting bit. I hope to get another some day.
Great video Adam but let me tell you that there's a snake pet that' s even far better than corn snake but it's underrated because he doesn't bring all morphs that corn snakes do : it's the russian rat snake (Elaphe schrenckii). Very docile, never attempting to bite, curious and inquisitive, a pleasure to deal with and (for me) the best beginner snake you can possibly have (I've had a corn snake years ago as my 1st pet snake and , from last June, i'm dealing with my young female russian rat snake and... it's another planet. I wish you make a video about these really underrated colubrids one day 😉

I recently purchased 2 adult leopard geckos and after a week or 2 I became a super fan. They have become super friendly. My 6 yo can put them on his shoulder while he does homework. We put them back after a bit, but they seem to be great for some interactions.
Oscar had crazy zoomies last night after he shed. I so love our Leo! It’s funny you mentioned their claws. I swear they are getting longer and yes, he have rock climbs.
Sorry to hear your corn snake passed, I'm still relatively new to the hobby and intended to get another snake at some point but to be honest never planned on getting a corn snake, I rehomed George last September who unfortunately isn't the most handleable and is an older snake and just not used to it, however he's a character and glad I got him definitely not as boring as I thought a corn snake would be
I was surprised that Schneider Skinks did not make the list. I do have a question about re-taming a Leopard Gecko. My leo Hatchi escaped, and I thought he was lost forever and then found him 2-3 months later. Since then, he tail wags and is not amused about being picked up...even letting him come to me. Any ideas?
Our ball python is under 1000 grams, about 2 years old, and we only feed her every 2-3 weeks, and she's still putting on weight. Not saying other people have to, but just putting that out there. I would say it has saved us time & hassle & some money. 😁👍💵
Love Elora lol Me and my husband are actually naming our daughter Elora cz neither of us had met anyone with the name haha funny that now we know of a beautiful leopard gecko with the name🥰
Love you selection ❤️. I have all of the above mentioned reptiles Never got bitten by any of them.I love chilling with all my guys and girls. However my favorite reptiles to handle are boas,my Hog Island, and my Rainbow Boa will chill out with me like my ball python. Always looking forward to seeing your updates Thanks 😊
Great list, spot on imo. I’ve owned 4 out of 5 of them at sometime or another, never got round to getting a crested. If there was a 6th spot I would definitely put Uromastyx in there.
Corns are great for handling, but a few other great options are eastern kings, speckled kings, and Mexican milks. Great pet snakes and handle very well, especially as they get older. My other favorite is the Dumerills bow if you want something a bit bigger and heavy bodies. The greatest boas that I have ever owned and bred…
Blue tongue skink. Mine was super mellow, chuffed a bit then was calm as soon as he saw it was a person. Terrible eye sight. Was really sad he passed, but 12 years isn't bad. Looking at pink tongues now.
Can you a video on the top affordable animals for vertical enclosures? My apartment is too small for a large horizontal enclosure, so I'm looking for a way to build up instead of across.
Love you vids man. I’m new into reptile keeping 2 years now with my ball python Bender but now time to upgrade his cage. Which I’ll have an extra cage to put something in which I’m looking into a red eye crocodile. So I’m wondering if maybe you could do a care guide video and tank setup?
Most Handable you've Never heard of sounds interesting. Anyway, while you were talking about corn snakes I remembered how some reptile keepers, especially of massive snakes and or venomous snakes, use weird tong things to put food into the snake's enclosure. It makes me wonder could someone use bowls and cups to put food into a snake's enclosure or would they still associate hands with food that way? My cat decided to bring in a live kangaroo mouse once and I felt bad for it, especially since she flung the poor thing around. So I tried to look after the mouse for a few days, if that, and used cups and bowls to handle the mouse, because I'm used to hamsters that bite so much. Mom insisted I release the mouse so I did. Also, I know snakes have bad vision, it's part of how some squirrels survived close encounters with snakes by rubbing snake skin on themselves.
MY own pet snake will go for anything with a heat signature when it is feeding time and I have opened his enclosure. I do not stick my hands in there to confuse him, I feed him with tongs. He gets fed at night, around 9-10, the same way every time. it's not that he thinks hands are food, he'll hit anything warm if it is food time. So I handle him during the day, with a gentle touch first to let him know it is me and not dinner.
I've had Chinese green water dragons and they've always been my favorite reptile pet since. My big guy Rocky was so big, so beautiful, and so chill. They're great animals to have as well in my non expert opinion

Sorry to hear your corn snake passed, I'm still relatively new to the hobby and intended to get another snake at some point but to be honest never planned on getting a corn snake, I rehomed George last September who unfortunately isn't the most handleable and is an older snake and just not used to it, however he's a character and glad I got him definitely not as boring as I thought a corn snake would be
I I remember going to all sorts of reptile Affairs and I was like the only one who wanted to hold the biggest of the snakes
My crestie gets the zoomies when I open his enclosure but I’m still working with him
I was surprised that Schneider Skinks did not make the list. I do have a question about re-taming a Leopard Gecko. My leo Hatchi escaped, and I thought he was lost forever and then found him 2-3 months later. Since then, he tail wags and is not amused about being picked up...even letting him come to me. Any ideas?
I watch videos on fb people that have bearded dragons they are absolutely adorable
Would love to see more about reptile trade in Europe
Some of the animals you show simply arent available here or incredibly hard to find :(
I’ve always felt that uromastyx are up there and good first reptiles… 🤷♂️
Definitely would like to see that video you mentioned
Corn snake setup plz
Our ball python is under 1000 grams, about 2 years old, and we only feed her every 2-3 weeks, and she's still putting on weight. Not saying other people have to, but just putting that out there. I would say it has saved us time & hassle & some money. 😁👍💵
Love Elora lol Me and my husband are actually naming our daughter Elora cz neither of us had met anyone with the name haha funny that now we know of a beautiful leopard gecko with the name🥰
Definately wanna see the top 5 most handleable we ain't heard of! X
My blue tongue is very easy to handle. She is an absolute trip to feed because she loves food and doesn’t say no.
Love you selection ❤️. I have all of the above mentioned reptiles Never got bitten by any of them.I love chilling with all my guys and girls. However my favorite reptiles to handle are boas,my Hog Island, and my Rainbow Boa will chill out with me like my ball python. Always looking forward to seeing your updates
Thanks 😊
5 handleable reptiles you haven’t heard of would be noice 🐍
Great list, spot on imo. I’ve owned 4 out of 5 of them at sometime or another, never got round to getting a crested. If there was a 6th spot I would definitely put Uromastyx in there.
Corns are great for handling, but a few other great options are eastern kings, speckled kings, and Mexican milks. Great pet snakes and handle very well, especially as they get older. My other favorite is the Dumerills bow if you want something a bit bigger and heavy bodies. The greatest boas that I have ever owned and bred…
Yes! Make that video
Keep up the great work!
Blue tongue skink. Mine was super mellow, chuffed a bit then was calm as soon as he saw it was a person. Terrible eye sight. Was really sad he passed, but 12 years isn't bad. Looking at pink tongues now.
A list of the best reptiles to handle you haven’t heard of would be awesome
I love the corn snake. You should get another one
I’m surprised you didn’t include the Spotted Python! A good mesh between the corn snake and ball python
Can you a video on the top affordable animals for vertical enclosures? My apartment is too small for a large horizontal enclosure, so I'm looking for a way to build up instead of across.
I have every reptile on this list and I have never been bitten once. They're all very easy to handle
Very cool
Love you vids man. I’m new into reptile keeping 2 years now with my ball python Bender but now time to upgrade his cage. Which I’ll have an extra cage to put something in which I’m looking into a red eye crocodile. So I’m wondering if maybe you could do a care guide video and tank setup?
I think that chuckwallas and bearded dragons are tied
I can't wait till my grandkids are old enough to have a critter so I will have an excuse to get one
hahahah I love this!
Very cool
MY own pet snake will go for anything with a heat signature when it is feeding time and I have opened his enclosure. I do not stick my hands in there to confuse him, I feed him with tongs. He gets fed at night, around 9-10, the same way every time. it's not that he thinks hands are food, he'll hit anything warm if it is food time. So I handle him during the day, with a gentle touch first to let him know it is me and not dinner.
I found Iguanas pretty easy to handle too
I've had Chinese green water dragons and they've always been my favorite reptile pet since. My big guy Rocky was so big, so beautiful, and so chill. They're great animals to have as well in my non expert opinion
wicked lizards!
@WickensWickedReptiles I'm new to the channel, have you ever done a video on them? I know they're not like super rare or exotic so idk how much interest there is in them but im new to the channel and haven't been through the whole catalog lol
To bad the Chuckwallas are a forgotten lizard same size as the bearded dragon total vegetarian diet
I want one so badly, but I can't find a breeder in my country. I understand that they are very popular in Germany, though.
