बीएसपी प्रमुख मायावती साढ़े तीन महीने बाद शनिवार को लखनऊ पहुंच गईं। वह अपने रहने लिए पूरी तरह तैयार हो चुके नए आवास 9, माल एवेन्यू में शिफ्ट हो गई हैं। उनके आने पार आवास के आसपास काफी गहमागहमी रही। सड़क की धुलाई की गई और दीवारों की साफ-सफाई में कर्मचारी जुटे रहे। मायावती ने 2 जून को दिल्ली चली गई थीं। पार्टी सूत्रों का कहना है कि दरअसल नए बंगले को उनके रहने के लिए तैयार किया जा रहा था। इसी वजह से वह तब से लखनऊ नहीं आई थीं। अब वह बंगला तैयार हो चुका है।
Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Wednesday vacated a government house following Supreme Court's order in this regard.
The bungalow, located at 6, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, was allotted to her in the capacity of a former chief minister.
Following the Supreme Court's order, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued notices to six former state chief ministers to vacate their official bungalows, including Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati, and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
The notices were sent by the Estate Department asking the former chief ministers to vacate the bungalows in 15 days.
