We have been on the Road since the beginning of December 2018. Started in Sydney and hoping to finish in London around September 2019. All we have are our 2 Suzuki DR650s. This is Episode 7 of our little adventure.
It felt a little strange riding into Malaysia, into larger cities like Kuching and Kuala Lumpur. We have avoided major cities since Adelaide back in Australia. We loved every second of it though. Got our fix of the big smoke, the jungles of Teman Negara and then up to George Town, Penang for a little culture. Only had about 2 weeks total in this beautiful country and as always… we wish we had more time!

Awesome trip! I'm sharing this with as many riding buddies as will listen to me!
LOL - We had the same experience at the KL cargo terminal and customs! What a nightmare! Well done on keeping it together. We got out of there at about 1 am
How have only 675 people liked this video? It's great. Hope your trip gets more exposure.
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it. The UA-cam algorithm is must be against us haha
Great series. Hope you guys edit and release the last episodes very soon. Thanks for sharing :)
Just repeating what others have said. It's been a long time coming but we'll worth the wait. But please, don't make us wait so long this next time, please 🙏
Great stuff once again. Really enjoyed the vid. With Ian Horan uploading yesterday, you guys today, who's gonna make me smile tomorrow I wonder 🤔. Maybe Pedro Moto 🤞.
Keep up the great work guys 👍
Whaaaat? An upload?! Where the hell is my popcorn, woman?!!
8:30 hey great, Sunny Cycle, I often go there, I live in KL, 10 minutes from Jalan Pahang where Sunny Cycle is located. That's where many overland motorcycle travellers meet. Friendly and competent people at Sunny Cycle.
Yeah those guys were legends. We found them on the "ioverlander" app. When we arrived they have 4 overlanding bikes people were storing there for anything from a few days to a few months, such nice people and great service
@@Northandleftabit True! They are actually specialized for BMW, but they will also service any bike and do a good job with it. Last time I was there, I saw some bikes with Dutch number plates. I chatted with the Dutch guy and his wife, and I realized that they were actually the owners of the two Dutch motorcycles parked near my bike in my condo parking lot. It's a small world!...
Amazing video guys! Can’t wait until next upload!
Hopefully should be out this month mate. Really happy you liked it though, its great to get feedback
Toll-free for the bike......a dream here in Italy....
Welcome to Malaysia 🥰❤️🔥
Long time coming gents!!! Thanks 👍👍
Let us know what you think
Just binged all these videos
Good work Jesse, I take it you enjoyed them which is great to hear. We hope to have the Thailand video out by the end of the month.
Really glad to have discovered your overland Vlogs! Enjoying them quite a lot and eager for more content :) And BTW James sure does have a doppelganger its not Daniel Craig though its Jimmy Simpson of the Westworld fame
AMAZING CONTENT, bringing back so much nostalgia of my own trip through Asia, on a 150cc honda 2 up hahaha! I didn't know shipping a bike over was an option :/
carrots, cabbage and spinach, can see a wind problem arising
Haha
👍👍👍
You definitely meant to say Martin Freeman right? Loving catching up on your journey from the shitty future year of 2022. But maybe it's time to start dreaming again?
Haha. Yeah we need to all get back out there again. More videos out soon
@@Northandleftabit Yeah absolutely time to get back out there! Looking forward to the new vids, though I'm still working through your amazing back catalogue.
Did you get the scoop from Lee (in Myanmar) about how he manages to leave the bike in-country? I thought you'd run into carnet issues if you cross the border without your vehicle.
@@mitch2870 good to hear you're enjoying them. We should have pt1 of Kyrgyzstan coming out over the weekend and its quite example.
He literally leaves the bike and a bike garage, it's more common than you might think. So the carnet you can extend a few times which helps but also not all countries require a carnet, definitely a good way to do it
Those pacat loves your orang putih tigh wearing short at our national park.😅
That’s my hometown Penang. I used to ride my underbone around Georgetown to college and work. Now I’m based outside of MY, kinda miss riding and homesick. Hopefully in the future I get to travel around the world on bikes like you blokes. Great content anyways, just subbed!
Ps. There’s more great local food to try other than Indian food and that’s how things work in Malaysia, slowly but it still gets done at the end, I’m not surprised haha
Yeah Georgetown was a great suprise I definitely want to go back one day and will have to hunt down the rest of the food you're talking about. The thing is I really like curry so was happy to eat it every chance I got haha
Finally upload... Iam waiting for it
Hope you enjoy it Zulhil
Welcome back lads.👌🏾👍🏾... Hope ur keeping safe....Anyone know the Song/Artist on the intro?? Thanks in Advance.😀
Awesome footage chaps and nice edits and colour grading too. What camera gear/set up are you lads using?
Just been going over your vids as we near departure date. I had completely forgotten that you had to crate for air shipping in Malaysia. As we want to visit Borneo, that is terrible news for us given air prices at the moment. I'm guessing you exhausted sea freight options?
Sea freight was definitely an option! and a MUCH cheaper option. But timing wasn't on our side. I think we had to wait for 3 weeks for the next ship and we decided that we would rather spend the extra money and gain that time on the other side. So if you time it right, you can definitely make sea freight work.
@@Babalas13 Thank you for that hope. We'll try and call up the shippers before we land on Kalimantan, but we might just go for it and hope we get lucky.
Great videos and music too. All the best and safe journey. Have u reached London yet ? 😊
Hi mate, yeah we did reach London and the adventure got quite full on at times. The Myanmar video should be out next week. Thanks for watching
Excellent. Thought you blokes were dead.
I'm waiting to find out why you stopped filming for some time...
3:09 because historically Sarawak is another 'country' merged with Malaysia, so they manage their own customs and imigration. Sabah too likewise.
9:48 yeah in here police normally just let the big bike pass the roadblock knowingly the fact that very little law disobey rider of big bike compare to cub bike..haha..such as license and insurance validity
Daniel craig all the way
How do you guys find highway riding on the DR650?
where to ride after malaysia
daniel craig
Please give subtitle in English, I am Indonesian not understand your speak completely... Sometimes I know it, plenty time I have no idea.. U guys talk soooo... fast & Sounds like blublublublub hahaha...
slightly like daniel craig, not as good looking
Yep - like a slightly lazy, less good looking, less charming version.
