I won't argue that he's not slow, he is, but he's strong & has great stamina, always in the right place at the right time. I'd agree 5 years was too long but I feel they should have done more to negotiate with him.
Well it'd fair to say your point has been proven, even with Marveaux out I don't think Nolan would get in our midfield now, even Perch has started to look like a player over the last few weeks. Incredible stuff.
@hustlergoon Aye defo looking better than i could have imagined. If we sign Gameiro, Gervinho and Cabaye we could make a serious brake for the top 6 :) :) :)
I remember this game well he scored another screamer later. R.I.P Gary Speed ive always said we went on a downward spiral after losing you. You'l be greatly missed
@Robotdrummerzzk Haha yeah but it always looks like he's half out of breath anyway, great stamina maybe was the wrong phrase, maybe determination is better, as in you'll get the same level of commitment from him no matter what the game, competition, scoreline etc. Just a very important player to keep because of his relationship with other key players like Barton. Plus it sends out the wrong message selling him I feel. Should be adding quality not letting it leave.
@Warrison He definitely did not have good stamina. I attended 90% of our home games last year and he would be puffing for breath by the half our mark. Hence why Tiote got so many yellow cards, having to cover for Nolan
@Warrison He wouldn't have been happy to sit on the bench. He was never going to get into our first team over Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Marveaux- far superior players. I think his legs will be gone in 18 months. He looks even more unfit at West Ham this year, £4m is good business.
@postmasterw00t Nolan is shit? Really? 12 goals in the PL from a midfielder is a quality return. He also added to team spirit hugely & his leadership was excellent. Much like Alan Shearer. But then all he ever did was score goals, so I suppose he was shit in your book too... Haha.
@jthnewcastle
No one can replace him!!

@postmasterw00t Yeah how about now...? Haha. Nolan gone, Barton going, no-one coming in...
@jthnewcastle
or it could be cabaye

Sighs... How i miss them days. I doubt we'll ever challenge the top four again aslong as ashleys in charge.

Exact same technique as Yeboah but doesn't get as much credit :/
Almost as good as Rooney's...
