This product is almost perfect for people who will find a use in it. Personally, I feel like it should come with some sort of remote to easily switch between the Cartridges. Not everyone is going to be sitting close to their Dock and might have to get up to use it. Imo, if you have to get up to switch the device, you may aswell just switch the Cartridges. A remote to help just use the device straight from your seat would be great. Personally, I'm not going to find much use in this. I'm mostly a handheld gamer. Most of my games are digital, and I don't mind manually swapping Cartridges. But I can see this being useful to me in some cases if they include a remote in a future model.
The million dollar question is, can you daisy chain it? That said, while I do find it interesting, I think it's a miss opportunity that it doesn't come with a wireless remote to toggle between games. The fact that you still have to physically get up to hit a button completely defeats the purpose.
Reminds me of the DSi prototype allowing for two DS games at a time. Understandably, though, the prototype was too large for its own good and removing the second DS cartridge slot was one of the things done to help slim down the finalized version.
I gave you you're 100th like on this video! Thanks for the review! I had something like this for the 3DS and was wondering why the Switch didn't have it!
This looks pretty handy. I kind of wish the slots were on the top of the unit, but it's not a deal breaker. I definitely need to pick this up at some point.
could this potentially short out a game or all games… obviously something like a lightning striking your house is super rare but would suck if things like that fried all the games plugged in ( just a thought of precaution )
And you could get hit by a car crossing the road. Life is full of risks, but what you're talking about is really so low percentage as to not merit concern.
Pretty cool. The gameboy family had similar devices. Didnt think itd be doable for switch though. I like how it fits with the console. Doesnt look bad at all.
I really like this product, but the one major thing keeping me from buying this is that you still have to get up and press a button the switch games, which in my opinion negates the entire purpose of this product. If you have to get up to press a button what’s the difference between just changing the cart? If they can somehow add the functionality to a button press on your controller I’d buy this product, but as is it’s a pass for me.
At least the switch actually has the games on the cartridge Sony and Microsoft made me HATE disc games last gen so this gen got the series s and a memory expansion card and the switch.
@RoXolid Productions and there are plenty that don't. But on xbox and ps you have to "install" every single disc. You can even have your switch disconnected from internet/wifi and play most games with zero updates at all. In the future, when the servers are shut down--something is always better than nothing.
I bought this for my switch and its useless every time i turn my switch on i have to remove and re-insert every damn game i wanna play making it pointless
I'mma be real. I dont believe I'd ever trust that. Since it comes between the game card and the slot there's the chance that it could provide voltage into the card slot. At the very least, its increasing the trace length between the system and rhe game itself, physically. You're also relying on their machining for the adapter, that physically plugs into rhe system, to be the proper size and not damage the pins. I'd hate to run one of those and find years down rhe road that it was backfeeding voltage into the system or something.
Ok so It is not an exclusive Design i have seen other Names on it. Second and Most important it fucks up the Sleep! Cause in sleep it looses power and force Quits the Game, so it crashes the Game and looses any non Saved Data. (A Fix would be to permanently supply it with USB Power form the wall probably)
This is by far the dumbest switch accessory I’ve ever seen. If you have to get up to hit the button, just swap the dang cartridge. Save $35 bucks. Or here’s an idea…. Get an older switch and install and run all the games you want directly from an SD card no cart needed at all.
@@MrMartellSincere Needs? Not sure they're needed as much as Quality of Life improvements. And again, my games will work once the eShop shuts down and I want to install on a new device. Digital only, hard to say
@@MrMartellSincere A lot of games still come complete just need to watch reviews about what is complete when it released? If the games are complete you don't need internet to add them. Mainly these online only games are in complete cause always needing internet for them to work.

I bought one and am loving it. When I push the sleep on the console, I have to pull out this card adapter otherwise it keeps waking the console
I remember seeing something like this for Gameboy advance
That's cool, never seen that
For the Gameboy advance sp right?
The million dollar question is, can you daisy chain it?

A few have asked the question, I think you can.
For me it's not a major deal as it beats having to go to the basement for other carts
If you have to stand to hit the button might as well switch the cart
Reminds me of the DSi prototype allowing for two DS games at a time. Understandably, though, the prototype was too large for its own good and removing the second DS cartridge slot was one of the things done to help slim down the finalized version.

Needs to come with a remote to change between games. Kinda seems pointless if you have to get up to push a button…
Not pointless at all, but you are correct that being able to swap remotely would definitely be more convienient.
Seems like an interesting idea, but I'm worried about how the Switch and the card reader will communicate smoothly. I guess we will see.

@@RoXolid i mean its third party company… i fee thats all the reason for concern
@@username4755 I wouldn't worry myself.
For the new 'switch' it would be a good design to integrate multiple game cards into the dock.
I completely agree
Is it possible to use this switcher in nested like USB hub? so, if have 5 switcher, will possible have 16 catridges?
now you gotta check if they can be daisy chained
LOL a few have asked that
Pretty cool. The gameboy family had similar devices. Didnt think itd be doable for switch though. I like how it fits with the console. Doesnt look bad at all.
No, is a pretty elegant design

For someone like me who stores their games in another location in my house, this is wildly convienient.
It’s an interesting item. If i primarily played on the TV, I’d definitely consider it.
And I do
The fact you still have to press a button to switch cartridge kind of defeats the one purpose of having all the cartridges in at once.
Not for me. My game storage is on a completely different floor so for me this is MUCH more convienient.
Interesting idea especially for those that have a huge doc setup
I'm liking it thus far
At least the switch actually has the games on the cartridge Sony and Microsoft made me HATE disc games last gen so this gen got the series s and a memory expansion card and the switch.
Not 100%, there are a few that require a download to get all of the game

can we attach them to each other
Yes they can be daisy chain together

100%!!!
Glad i went digital as I don't like switching out physics cards 😏😂
I'd rather have physical, that way you own something vs when the digital storefronts go down and you have nothing
