Looks like decent performance. The lower vacuum would probably be due to the bigger hose diameter and for sure the higher filter class. That higher filter class means it's harder to pull the air through the filter because it's much finer.
You say longer warranty for the Parkside, but that’s not true for professional users right? In Portugal there is zero warranty on Parkside unless it’s just for home use.

Thanks for this review. I was waiting for a proper review of this vac since I first saw an image. I have a couple questions that maybe you could answer. Filter cartridges are interchangeable? Because it's easy to find cheap festool-compatible filters, but if this have the same dimensions but a different plastic border maybe they won't fit. If they are, does using the non-hepa filter of the festool on the parkside increase the airflow or negative pressure? In theory a coarser filter should let more air though and increase the flow (not the pressure). Thanks! Liked!
Admirable breakdown & testing. The value of longevity, serviceability, and supporting quality manufacturing among allies must always be factored in… sometimes price/cost runs overly excessive however.
So how did you get the vacuum cleaner? I have searched for it on your website and it does not appear. Could you tell me how I can get it for my workshop? Thank you
I believe compatible boxes which can stack on top of the vacuum cleaner are Qbrick system (from the looks of red locking mechanism). It would be great if someone is able to confirm that.
what is important during actual work with higher loads is cleaning the filter. I see that the Parkside vacuum cleaner does not have automatic cleaning. Is it just as effective after 5 minutes of work?
I'm talking about Parkside. All my machines have automatic filter cleaning, I am afraid that without this function the suction power is not continuous.
yes, but it would be nice to have a test showing whether it can be used as a vacuum cleaner or only in a clean state in the lab test. :) Anyway, I ordered it on the German Lidl site, in principle it will arrive in Hungary via a service provider, it will be revealed in the near future. 😂
Great review! Looks like Parkside totally messed up the wireless functionality. But at a fraction of the price it might still be the better deal for diy. I wonder how well the vacuums perform when they are 75% full for example.

5:31 Oh, that’s a bummer, Parkside. The ability to take the main filter out without the need of a tool is quite nice. If the designers at Parkside absolutely wanted a screwed-on filter, then it would have been nice if there was a small holder for a screwdriver near the filter (it’s best to supply the right screwdriver with the vac ex works).
Any ideas where to get the filter and foil bag in dust class H? I just crawled through the internet and couldn’t find one explicitly for the ppwd 30a1. I’m located in Germany
Im looking for filters and bags to. Does the bags and filters from festol fit in to the Parkside? Lidl doesn't sell them ,that is ridiculous. A Bluetooth remote to fit at the tube would be great, so I could use it with other battery devices than Parkside
So 30 stand for 30 liters right ? Festool weight around 13kg + 20 kg if the bag is full of mixed dust, most part of Time wood, plaster, etc, so 20 to 30 kilos fully loaded. Yeah just look at the wheels and the weight of the parkside unit, I don’t think you’re going really far on a jobsite with the parkside unit.
@Allhandmade It is amazing that they put wifi in the vacuum, this is because they use Tuya modules which has BT and WiFi. I bet there will be a firmware update for this to be fixed.
Lol they are really fast. I confirm that after today's update you can use the vacuum with the Parkside app too. But still you need to keep it constantly open 🤣
I add WiFi switch to mine cleaner years ago. Not that difficult. I'm wondering what board did Parkside use and when hardware hackers will release alternative firmware or extra sensors. Tuya is software solutions provider not a hardware. Hardware is mostly on ESP chips. If the controller base on Tuya solutions it means that it should work with Tuya's App "Smart Live" and Home Assistant without modification.
@@Fatmacheto You were close but miss a bit. Tuya have in the offer for developers a template which that can modify they own solutions hiding from end user some features. Smart Life app allows to have an access to everything they offer plus acces to devices from other brands.

Nope. Both regulators are at max: ua-cam.com/video/sukmqGUJexU/v-deo.html But after so many comments about that It seems I found another problem on Festool - they need to design less confusing regulator. That's the least they can do for such price they ask.
Damn... the Bluetooth autostart on the parkside seems more like an afterthought than a properly though out implementation... The part with keeping the phone's screen on, and in a specific menu window... Is that well documented in their user manuals? Or do you have to find it out by yourself ( a good ocasion to revisit every curse word you learned until now... maybe make up some new ones). It should be set it and forget it. I wonder... there's a Lidl home hub, or something like this... though I knew it is mainly for Zigbee devices... maybe they intended the whole thing to run better via this device? Just a (dumb) question from my side...
They have updated the Parkside app and now it supports the vacuum. On the menu you can see a warning not to turn off the screen or exit the app 🤣 Written in big letters 🤣
Parkside isn't copying the design of festool/bosch/etc any more than bmw does from audi, and they certainly aren't paying a licence for that. It's just that certain designs are more functional than others. And well, you can't pantent funktional design. (At least not where parkside is sold)
Really nice test thanks. Thats a shame for those who use BT tools but i believe they will eventually sort it out at some point if it is purely a software issue. Or get a New vacuum revision out as they usualy do. Anyways my first thoughts were that if i need such a vacuum cleaner as a pro, id buy the one with the best aftersale service and product design, which i know both are lacking with lidl/parkside in France as i had to deal with them twice already. I got a regular parkside shop vacuum with an auto start socket that serves its purpose well attached to a mitre Saw, it is good for the Price and i'd buy another one if i need another stationary Vac. I also havefestool powertools and a CTM26 AC and ive got nothing to complain about(except the Price), the bluetooth Button sure is ultra extensive but i cant get over it today. Not having to lean to start the vac seems like a lazy people issue until you get to use it 😅
Excellent Comparison and objective, fair Test - well done, thank you! I was very surprised about the new Parkside-Vac, because I didn't realize anything about thats appearance! I agree with you about the very silly Bluetooth/Wi-Fi-Solution by Parkside, it's really idiotically and need immediately a proper Fixing, hope for a soon much better (Firmware?)-Update! But regardless about that electronical Bug, for me the Parkside stands as a perfect Alternative to the extreme overprized Festool, or other nearby expensive Competitors! I made my Choice regarding your Video and look forward to get a Parkside! Greets from Alex / Frankfurt / Germany
That looks great, But you can't buy one. Hose quality looks cheap, Ive been there a few times, the cost of Festool may be high but if I want one I can have it when I want and aftersales is second to none, I still want a CTL in my shop LOL
Remote startup functionality. For the festool, they sell a bluetooth kit that comes with the part that goes in the vac (the ct midi doesn't need this; it's built in, so you can buy just the remote) and a small remote you can attach to the hose or use handheld. It's an amazing feature to have so that you don't need to be near the vac to turn it on. Another thing it adds is functionality to automatically start when paired with tools using festool's bt batteries.

If a 30 year old repair technician stumbles upon some asbestos inside your 75 years old house, believe me you would want that vacuum to be class H.
And yes, you would buy that H14 filter, but tell me the price difference on them?
@@icku well, i am with you there are applications requiring H class. I still think for 99% users L is good enough. Regarding azbestos its not so hard to recognize. Me and my friends are 35ish years old and we can recognize it. Anyway if you mess with it without knowing its azbest you most likely not wearing any face and skin protection so i am not sure the vacuum will save you. I partly agree with you tho
Can you show how filter cleaning works?
Hello,
in generell a good Test. But when I have Seen IT right, around 11:35 when your Test the airflow, the festool was 't at max. Power.
May the festool can reach the value from the Datasheet.
Thanks
You need to pay more attention to the video and the video description 😃

I have Seen that too, but I see the regulator in the position "low" 🤔
May I'm blind or really stupid...and please don't missunderstand me. If I'm wrong, than I apologize...🙂
@@norbertwalter6844 Just search in google ctl 26 e and take a closer look how the air flow regulator looks. And you'll see the small arrow. Its really deceptive 😃
The volume on festool is lower due to 27/32 vacuum hose . Test it with 36mm hose and the suction will be on a different level
Thanks for this, as a beginner I cannot justify spending just shy of 1000 GBP on a festool vacuum and as the Parkside Performance is currently 150 GBP for me this is a no brainer,
Especially as they are basically doing the same job, and I would only be using it in Auto mode for my Mitre saw, Table saw and thicknesser
Glad it was helpful!
Ottimo video e grand descrizione del articolo ,Cavolo e non ci hai fatto sapere il tubo di aspirazione quanto sono lunghi tra una e l'altra .ossia quanto raggio di lavoro ti permette.

You really went all out with this video! Excellent content, thank you very much.
I think I'll stick with my pwd 30 a1, it still runs great.
Lidl is going to release in days the ppexs (the get 75 clone sander) in my country, at 60€. Would you still recommend it?
The black plastic on the festool aren't that good either... It breaks, it is brittle.
very good test...unfortunately still not available in germany...

Doch natürlich. Guck mal in den Lidl Shop. Dort für 249 Euro zu haben.
Bj, je pense que les caisses QBRICK SYSTEM sont compatubles pour le transport-fixation sur l'aspirateur...
And how come Lidl will tell whether you used it professionally or not. This is not a fitness equipment inside a gym.
@@icku Just a thought: based on invoicing details. If you buy as a regular person, you only need the receipt from the cash register... if you buy it as a business, you'll need an invoice.
@@ickuif you buy for a company, you would most likely get it with an invoice for that company. To write off expenses and VAT. I guess that depends on the tax laws. But here if you are buying for a company, you have 1 year warranty. 3 / 5, if you buy without VAT invoice. Similar rules for other tools or computers as well.
Laboratory tests for a vacuum cleaner that is supposed to be in the dust in the workshop or on a hard construction site! You need to put it into operation and then evaluate Festool wins :-)
To perform construction tests - are you kidding me. Do you think any manufacturer of any kind of product performs a real life test of its product? Do you think Tesla tests its cars for lets say 5 years to see if its batteries will last before marketing them to you? No! And why should i perform such a test? Just to satisfy your curiosity... Get used to it - Parkside is no more 2nd degree brand. Just like some years ago all laughed at Huawei, but see them now. No one is laughing any more.

Thanks! Liked!
Yes, the filters are interchangeable. Haven't tested what would happen if i swap them...
Just try to find spare parts for Parkside PWD 30 A1....
Well it's not like buying the airflow knob(only the knob) on Festool for ONLY 15 euros 🫣
Parkside tools have full parts support.
Admirable breakdown & testing. The value of longevity, serviceability, and supporting quality manufacturing among allies must always be factored in… sometimes price/cost runs overly excessive however.
Is this vacuum available in Europe? I haven't seen anything like this in the UK yet! 😢
Hello. Could you tell me where I can get the parkside vacuum cleaner? Thank you
I'm not affiliated with Lidl in any way. Don't have information about availability of their items.
So how did you get the vacuum cleaner? I have searched for it on your website and it does not appear. Could you tell me how I can get it for my workshop? Thank you
What's the point of comparing a Parkside set to maximum with a Festool set to minimum? Do you want Parkside to win? You've succeeded.
You need to pay more attention where the arrows on the regulators are 😉
It also seems to me that the Festool is set to minimum
😂😂😂 You need glasses too
Good video, shame in this day and age still using brushed motors that will require replacement in time
The park side is currently £39.99 making it a compelling for us who cannot justify festool pricing
I believe compatible boxes which can stack on top of the vacuum cleaner are Qbrick system (from the looks of red locking mechanism). It would be great if someone is able to confirm that.
Parkside have their own sustainers, so I bet on those
I'm impressed with your tests.
Can ot even find the Parkside vacuum on any website. Only the older steel drum versions
Its sold by Lidl
I am in the market for one of these, but I can´t find it for sale in Spain
what is important during actual work with higher loads is cleaning the filter. I see that the Parkside vacuum cleaner does not have automatic cleaning. Is it just as effective after 5 minutes of work?
Festool does not have either. You have to pay extra cash for the automatic filter cleaning and it's not cheap.
I'm talking about Parkside. All my machines have automatic filter cleaning, I am afraid that without this function the suction power is not continuous.
@@kovaratis I agree. But that's why it has the lowest price on the market for such a vacuum.
yes, but it would be nice to have a test showing whether it can be used as a vacuum cleaner or only in a clean state in the lab test.
On the noise test the festool was set to minimum and the parkside set to max? Also it was closer i mean just do a fair test? Wtf
Wtf, wear your glasses 😂
I watched a video now about changing the filter in a festool ct26e and there is exactly the same mechanism (basket) in which the filter is placed! This Parkside vacuum cleaner is actually a Festool clone
I bought this equipment, used for a month for 150 euros, so for me it's a great offer!
the price is sensational because it is a vacuum cleaner in class H! A clone of the Festool CTH 26 E which costs 1200 euros! The CTL 26E model costs 750 euros and is in the L filtration class, and this Parkside equipment has a H filtration class! So the price is sensational
Am I blind or was festool on minimum setting while parkside was on max setting for the noise test?
You are definitely blind. Double check and if not believe me check the Festool knob on the internet 😉
5:31
Oh, that’s a bummer, Parkside. The ability to take the main filter out without the need of a tool is quite nice. If the designers at Parkside absolutely wanted a screwed-on filter, then it would have been nice if there was a small holder for a screwdriver near the filter (it’s best to supply the right screwdriver with the vac ex works).
Every H class filter has to be fixed with screws for security reason.
You didn't have the festool set to max for the air flow test

Is it possible to buy spare parts and filters for Parkside?
It always been problem with low brands.
Some parts you can order from the Grizzly tools website.
I've problems with the filters installation on the Parkside Performance. Could you show us in a short video how to fit them properly?
Well, this video shows how to do it.
No, I was referring to the ones you call "filter bag and foil bag"@@icku
Any ideas where to get the filter and foil bag in dust class H? I just crawled through the internet and couldn’t find one explicitly for the ppwd 30a1. I’m located in Germany
Grizzly tools website
And where are you planning to go with a full vacuum cleaner 🤣 Just open it, grab the bag and empty it outside at the trash bin.
@Allhandmade It is amazing that they put wifi in the vacuum, this is because they use Tuya modules which has BT and WiFi. I bet there will be a firmware update for this to be fixed.
Definitely there should be an update as currently the Parkside app only detects the vacuum, but the user sees no options and information about it.
@@mil3k The parkside app is actually tuya.
@@Fatmacheto You were close but miss a bit. Tuya have in the offer for developers a template which that can modify they own solutions hiding from end user some features. Smart Life app allows to have an access to everything they offer plus acces to devices from other brands.

Nope. Both regulators are at max: ua-cam.com/video/sukmqGUJexU/v-deo.html
But after so many comments about that It seems I found another problem on Festool - they need to design less confusing regulator. That's the least they can do for such price they ask.
I check myself on bosch crap
ua-cam.com/video/mwjyMXNvL0U/v-deo.html
Damn... the Bluetooth autostart on the parkside seems more like an afterthought than a properly though out implementation...
Not having to lean to start the vac seems like a lazy people issue until you get to use it 😅
Wont the bluetooth function be fixed in the app? Do you recommend the vacuum for home use
I really hope so.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad that I helped :)
Here in The Netherlands its €300
That looks great, But you can't buy one. Hose quality looks cheap, Ive been there a few times, the cost of Festool may be high but if I want one I can have it when I want and aftersales is second to none, I still want a CTL in my shop LOL
Can‘t you just use the Parkside H Class Filter on the Festool to upgrade it from L to H?
Sure you can, but why??
@@icku because the Parkside filter is much cheaper than the Festool one and you get an easy and cheap upgrade of the Festool
@@raphaelkostas If you manage to find it...
Just wondering why one would need bluetooth on a vacuum cleaner ?
Remote startup functionality. For the festool, they sell a bluetooth kit that comes with the part that goes in the vac (the ct midi doesn't need this; it's built in, so you can buy just the remote) and a small remote you can attach to the hose or use handheld. It's an amazing feature to have so that you don't need to be near the vac to turn it on. Another thing it adds is functionality to automatically start when paired with tools using festool's bt batteries.
Where do you get spare parts if something breaks in your parkside vacuum cleaner?
