Definitely has a Burnout Revenge vibe with the redish and orange tones throughout the screen, although they're obviously just placeholders. And man, is it just me or does the engine bay in the Annihilator look more fleshed out? When ever he crashes, I swear I can see things like wires and a more detailed motor. I seriously hope we get a Burnout Paradise 2 someday. Nothing thus far even holds a candle compared to this game.
Probably the weirdest part of the crashing is that the hood falls off, no cars except for the Oval Champ and the Olympus do that. I never understood why that was.
Man, the South Bay Expressway Bridge is significantly different in this build! I can imagine the railroad level walkways across the road were causing quite a few crashes off the middle super jump, but I have to wonder what sparked the total redesign from modern toll bridge to the final older suspension design.
A few details here were still present in the final build of the game but things changed over time as the game was patched. I completely forgot how brutal the crashes originally were.
@@FlanCakes it's EA, they wanted criterion to tone down the crash physics for it looked brtual and it would affect the age rating, they really wanted it to be E10+ and not be raised to T or teen, this is the same reason why the drivers in motorcycles disappear when you crash
As usual, the pre-alphas look way better than the final product. Crashes look more realistic, damage models look more brutal and the camera shakes make it better
0:43 Here the whole car from front to back just folds in. In the final game only the front and roof would've crumbled like that and the back will be flawless.
is it me or do the particle effects look 50000 times better than the remaster, i feel like the remaster devs thought pulling the transparency down to 0 was a great fucking idea but instead it made particle effects be obvious game particle effects also love the suspension handling and the way the crashes are less instantanous
damn the crashes are more realistic than the final version, it even resembles beam ng drive 😅 The Physics of this version was much more realistic and how it behaved in different ways, I think that was removed because the game was too heavy to run on computers and PS3 at the time. in the remastered version it was supposed to come with this physics
My ps3 account still has the demo on it....i play it once in a while just to experience the insanity that it used to be......1.0 wasnt too much different, but each update made it worse. The bikes killed the crash physics entirely because every car uses the bikes physics.
That explains why it feels like the slightest breeze triggers a crash or wreck animation, sometimes i felt downright getting cheated because i barely touched another car or a wall and it got marked as a crash
If you have an EA Origin account they might give it to you for free. And if you're thinking of getting this for consoles, they have it in XBL or PS Store.
Fred RiQue He was asking for the pre-alpha version which is sadly nowhere to be found. I'd like to play this version so much!! Am I the only one that noticed that the crashes became worse when a certain patch was applied in BP? It think it was patch 1.3 Davis

Criterion made a new game, it's on the epic launcher for pre order. It's called Dangerous Driving and it's inspired by the early burnout games.
Criterion doesn't exists anymore, everyone responsible for burnout has left

We got Paradise 2. Its called Most Wanted 2012
@@Blueflag04 yes indeed, but with less alcohol and more real cars
Those crashes look better than the ones we got
No air orientation assist, no camera shaking animations, I gotta admit this looks just as much fun as the final product t
is much more realistic than the final, but the sound of the Carson Anhilator tho
StreetBose yeah. People are saying that crashes were tamer in the patches.

yeah, the pre-ultimate box version, which is present on xbox 360 and ps3 versions
why did it change?

if only we got this version instead of the final one ,this one looks so much better
I guess we can say the updated burnout paradise...
...went for a lighter tone.
Criterion did the same for Burnout 3: Takedown, so this one doesn’t surprise me as much.

Probably wasn't able to run smoothly on consoles that were out at the time wish they would've included it in remastered

This, and the other pre-alpha builds, looked much better than the release. 1.0 is great, but it’s missing some good features.
I don’t understand why they’d downgrade everything with the final version and updates, just seems weird.
@@shnubdawg7730 1.0 has some of the old elements, but not enough. The updates fucked this game up pretty badly.

I remember playing Paradise for the first time in a Walmart since back in the day they had demos to play lmao
