We have a fair few Megalith and standing stones in Cornwall much like our Welsh and Breton Cousins, i have a few within 1/4 mile of my home and the remains of some bronze age dwellings,. Quality video. Cheers
There are quite a lot of megaliths and standing stones here in Britanny as well. It proves celtic people had a sense of what could remain through time such as stones : they are in a way their eternal traces. Stones have a peculiar caracteristic I could experience on my own : it is that it traps in a way the energy. If you lay your hand on one of the stones( of a megalith for example), you can feel it is full of the energy our forebears once had (or maybe other people who laid their hands there haha). Amazing video and very moving music... Keep going please. I love your content.
I'm very interested in Brittany, it's where my old maiden name comes from supposedly - Britton. I do love hiding inside the burial chambers on rainy days :) here in South Wales it rains a lot. I learned flat stone walling a few years back and my tutor said something astonishing to me, he said "the only reason farmers do flat stone walling is because all our farmland is littered with the ruins of the past" I supposed therefore that the only reason they are called standing stones is because they were the only stones left standing.
What People don't realise is - Most of England and Southern Scotland was in control of the Britons (Welsh) for centuries, if not thousands of years before the Irish is Scotland and English in England ever came to be. Which means, many finds from such places may well be Brythonic, as opposed to Saxon (English), Irish, Viking, or Roman. I also believe Northumbria was a Brythonic Kingdom, not a Saxon or Norse one. Why, Cambria is Latin for Wales and Cumbria which Rheged was an ancestor Kingdom of, was Brythonic. Why would they have such similar names?! Evidence for cultural changes as opposed to all out invasion in my opinion. You also see similarities in Wessex. The standing stones were used for navigation and recording the movements of the stars. The druids were known as far away as Greece for their astronomical knowledge. And many Greeks came to study with them. Btw, The Irish never resisted anything as the Romans never came into contact with them. Also, Most Celtic tribes Were absorbed rather than Destroyed. Espiacially in Wales. The Silures provided the biggest resistance from the Tribes that would become known as Welsh in the English speaking world. Legend even has it that The Royal family origins of these Tribes was actually Brutus Of Troy....which would go a long way as to explaining why the Romans married into local Brythonic tribes. (They would have been ancestral cousins) Oh, another side note....The Brythonic Celts were Christian long before Rome was. The Romans weren't officially christian until the council of Nicea. And the Emperor that did that, his Wife was a Brythonic Princess.
@@deadsouls72 Yeah...Scotland is also very strange. If most of the major cities were founded by the Irish, why did they use old Welsh!? If they were founded by the Brythonic people (Welsh)...why didn't the Irish change the names?! Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, etc all come from old Welsh.
This is the memorial revival of our ancestors who were once present in these places and gave rise to new residents who unfortunately lost their memories.
Excellent video! I travel much of England hunting my ancestry mounds & there are a number in the South where I live. I visit the Kings' Graves (christians later named it Devil's Humps) on Bow Hill regularly. There's a great book called Rites of the Gods by Aubrey Burl, you & others may enjoy. Heill ok sæll!
Fascinating tale. Different from Wilson and Blackett history. Unfortunately much Welsh heritage is being destroyed and only Britain's Hidden History channel are raising awareness. I love the ancient megalithic works.
A good production, but you should refrain from calling us Welsh - Celts, as we have never been Celtic. We are Brythonic and we always have been, and we are very different from the continental Celts.

Those megaliths are far, far older than the Celtic people. They were created by the people before the people before the Celts.
Great video! Nice to have you back, keep up the good work :)

They are not Brythonic.
They are much older than that.
They would have been built by people looking like Cheddar Man, not like Richard Burton.
