Me personally, the only reason I can understand a dirt racer wanting to go NASCAR racing is the money. But, as we all know cup driver pay has plummeted and top dirt racers are earning equal or more income than probably half the cup drivers recently. And someone like Day whose family is absolutely loaded, him making millions a year isn't going to change his life anyway. He probably wants to be famous, which I'll never understand that and it's not like NASCAR drivers are famous these days, they're virtually unnoticed outside of their world. Also, I don't understand why Corey Day wouldn't want to have some real accomplishments in sprint car racing before changing to stock cars. He really hasn't done anything yet outside of winning a few races.
As far as dirt racers in NASCAR, I couldn't care less about it. If NASCAR was actually a collection of the top short track drivers from dirt and pavement racing then it would be meaningful, but at least 75% of the drivers are in cup simply because of the resources and connections behind their "racing career" rather than their own credibility.

With Day leaving for stock cars, its simply underscores the fact that open wheel oval track racing seemingly has no "destination" series at its top. Indy car used to be , but, it has long since given up on its roots. Until we get some sort of modern front engine roadster that can be raced on super speedways, 1 to 2 mile ovals, dirt tracks and, road courses, we'll keep seeing the steady loss of talent to stock cars...

If I'm so annoying, don't watch. Life is too short to watch UA-cam videos you don't like. Lots of other places to get dirt racing content.

If Jason Meyers racing earns the charter, and day leaves? Justin sanders to the 14 for full time HL would be a great replacement.

I'm pretty sure he will continue to race 410s 20-40 times a year like larson, these lower NASCAR series race less than cup so he will have plenty of weeks off

You lost half of Your viewers in the first 15 minutes because of talking about your damn shirts so much. That's not why the public tuned in to hear about your damn shirts. You at home want to be MRN reporters are just wasting everybody's time with your misinformation and old new (fake news) we've heard about a week ago

Hello Travis, thank you for your concern about my viewership. But don't worry, this particular show is performing right in line with the rest of the shows on my channel. This video in particular is eight and a half minutes long, so I couldn't have talked about shirts for 15 minutes. (It was actually about a minute and 20 seconds). Also, since it's clear you are new to UA-cam, let me help you out. There is a progress bar at the bottom of my videos that shows the segments for each day's show. If you would rather not hear about t-shirts, just jump ahead to the segment where I get into the day's show topics. They are clearly marked, with the shirt segment labeled "New DIRTRACKR shirts are here! shop.dirtrackr.com" right on the timeline. Very simple fix, you could have not heard about shirts, and the solve would have taken less time then writing this comment, which you then came back and edited as well. Thanks for stopping by.

I think dirt fans are looking for a new Larson awfully fast and although Day is extremely talented on dirt, he isn’t even close to comparing him to Larson or Stewart or Gordon or Bell etc. He has no where near the experience, natural talent (in my eyes) or racing maturity the guys mentioned above has. If he succeeds, will it be good for dirt? Absolutely. If he fails will it hurt dirt? No. I just see him not succeeding to get to cup and will eventually fall back to dirt and have a less successful career than if he was just stick with dirt.

So apples to apples how does he stack up vs those guys? Corey day at 18 years old vs Larson, bell, Stewart, Gordon at the same age?

I have no idea what you are talking about but Jeff Gordan did nothing on dirt, won one USAC sprint race on dirt in 3 seasons. Stewart was a good all around USAC driver but never was a winged star, won 3 outlaws races in his life

Another great up coming dirt driver to soon be lost in the cesspool of nascar. I get going where the money is, who can blame him? Getting lost in the nothingness is a bummer. At least he's goin' to Hendrix where his dirt racing is understood and appreciated.
