Well he played the the gamescon version, stress test and Evo. Once you get the rhythm of the game and characters, all of them will be easier to pick up. Today's my 1st day, and based on studying other players, and a lil tech/kombos people put on Twitter I already got a nice subzero.
No life outside of gaming 8hrs a day. It's kinda sad. I'm gonna get it at launch and play it like a normal person with a job, relationship and responsibilities 😅

Sure, he picks the games up rather quickly -- it's all he does with his life, and one would expect no less (at its core, the game looks like the same pasta NRS have churned out for years). However, the context is that he was bodying casuals in a beta, playing online, and he was acting like he was thirstier than in top-8 at Evo! From Anakin's and my viewpoint, he was playing like a scrub.

He makes it look easy because he's been grinding. Practicing the characters moves is the best way of making the combos look easy and staying patient blocking your opponents hits.

One thing I’m not the biggest fan is the parry he has where he phases through you, just cause it seems unbeatable offensively. It counters low attacks as well as standard attacks obviously, but also grabs are counted as well. It just feels like it counters too much.

His Philly Shell guard is a nice touch too.

Them Kano knife combos are actually pretty easy without hype (to me). The hype meter combos takes time to get used to.

Yup agreed, and mk11 was so slow paced with the kurshing blows and stuff. really hated the kbs in mk11. Not to mention some kbs were just pure bs.

I just noticed that in this game, Johnny cage doesn’t have a projectile. Which I guess they compensated by making him even more deadly up close.
I think it was the right move, since if a good Johnny player gets close, your health bar is getting shredded
