Kika, I have written so many times how much I appreciate your honesty when things go awry while you are working and improving your skills and the frustration that comes with learning and mastering something and the guts and confidence to leave it in the video is VERY inspiring. You are such a cool woman!!! You set an example that is just really wonderful! I love how you and Dan work together to be successful.

KIKA!!! You da LADY!!! Not only sticking to that reverse docking ( I'd be sitting on a sunken boat by now), YOU did it!!! Then turning around and doing your silks in a blizzard!!! YOU ROCK LADY!!! Dan's one very very lucky guy to have the Haitian Tigress of the North to travel with. I'm hoping the locals may have seen some of that too. Now with Dan they might have had the usual comeback of 'Crazy Canuck' but to see someone out of tropics barefoot and barehanded doing a slow dance on silks, now that's too damn special to not take notice of....DAMNNNNNNNNNNN. Dan lucky lucky you!

Practicing docking is essential. As long as nothing broke or someone gets hurt, its a good docking... no matter how many times you try it. Breaking up a maneuver when it seems not to be ok, is better than trying to do it and be in a worse situation.

If I might be so bold to suggest when you are docking in reverse is you can get on the dock run a spring line forward. Once that is secured put the boat in recoveries and the bow will be sucked in towards the dock. Obviously if you attach an aft spring line then put the boat in forward. It makes it really easy to dock using only one line. Love your channel!

@@snowown The reason I mentioned Svaldbard was that I recently read an article online. ( And they were at Svalbard from July 7- to July 26, now at Iceland.)
If you look at statistics from Metrologisk Institutt of rainfall in July, you will see that all of the Norwegian coastline above the Arctic Circle got 200-400% more rain "than normal." Neither May or June was any different.
So when you say Norway had a good summer this year, I assume you live south of the Arctic.
