I'm not convinced that was Mary's tomb, not enough evidence, but there are so many other wonderful sites that are connected to Jesus. I do not believe that the Blessed Mother, who is the Ark of the Covenant, who carried the God-Man within her, then married another and or had other children. It is very clear in scripture the parents of many of Jesus' apostles (see comments below from others for more details.) As another person also mentioned below that historically the eldest son cared for his widowed mother. When Jesus was on the cross gave His mother to the apostle John to care for, and John was not His brother as He had no siblings.

According to Jewish law, the oldest son had the responsibility of caring for the widowed mother, and that responsibility would pass to the next oldest if anything happened to the first-born son. Since Joseph had died and Jesus, the first born, why was not Mary entrusted to her other children, and why were they not present at the crucifixion. Jesus instead entrusted Mary to the care of Disciple John. Further, the Orthodox Churches solve this problem over brothers and sisters by speculating that St. Joseph was a widower who had other children before he married Mary.

Also in the Old Testament the words brothers and sisters are used even to describe cousins. It is unfortunate that this man does not understand the Catholic teachings on Mary. He seems to think that the Catholic church treats Mary as a god of some sort...which actually expressly against the teachings of the Catholic church.
People also have statues of and candles to St. Peter...and heck, even Abraham Lincoln (heck, the Lutheran Church down the street has large statues of the four Apostles on their steeple. These people are being honored, not worshipped. The Catholic church states that Mary is a creature, as are we all, but one greatly honored and chosen by God to be the mother of His son. That is quite an honor, you have to admit! She followed Christ and is his first known disciple (she asked him to help the couple at the wedding at Cana...she knew of what he was capable...before the other disciples did). It is only right that we honor her. The church uses the word "veneration" is regards to Mary. She is greatly venerated (not worshipped). She venerated as, say you may venerate your grandmother - someone you honor greatly and speak well of and tell people about as someone who embodies goodness. You probably even have her picture up on the wall. That is the way Mary is to be thought of, but as the ultimate grandmother or mother...someone who has your utmost respect and love, but not someone you would worship as that is saved only for God. There are so many times I hear people talk about what the Catholic Church believes or says...but those people generally are going on what they have heard and have NOT checked the Catechism of the Catholic Church nor asked a a priest or a Catholic who understand their faith or any real source.

Jesus spent most of his ministry in Galilee. Jesus went to Jerusalem at least 3 times a year (mandatory). Capernaum is around 70 miles from Jerusalem. A round trip is 140 miles or so. That's a lot of walking.

The tour guide contradicted his statement. If Jesus has six siblings why are they not with their mother Mary during the crucifixion, to give support. Even one of the six wasn’t there is very surprising. And why did Jesus told John to take care of his mother instead of Jesus siblings? In Aramaic the word brother ( Adelphos) doesn’t refers to blood brothers but also to relatives.
Jesus in essence was giving his mother Mary to all of us (woman behold your son) and saying the same to John about Mary (son behold your mother). We are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, so we have to keep an open mind that Jesus my not have had biologic siblings. TheBible tells us that the disciples were in the upper room- Mary's salvation was also thro Jesus. Mary was used by God to carry and raise Him, the rest is as for all of us.

As another person also mentioned below that historically the eldest son cared for his widowed mother. When Jesus was on the cross gave His mother to the apostle John to care for, and John was not His brother as He had no siblings.

According to Jewish law, the oldest son had the responsibility of caring for the widowed mother, and that responsibility would pass to the next oldest if anything happened to the first-born son. Since Joseph had died and Jesus, the first born, why was not Mary entrusted to her other children, and why were they not present at the crucifixion. Jesus instead entrusted Mary to the care of Disciple John. Further, the Orthodox Churches solve this problem over brothers and sisters by speculating that St. Joseph was a widower who had other children before he married Mary.

People also have statues of and candles to St. Peter...and heck, even Abraham Lincoln (heck, the Lutheran Church down the street has large statues of the four Apostles on their steeple. These people are being honored, not worshipped. The Catholic church states that Mary is a creature, as are we all, but one greatly honored and chosen by God to be the mother of His son. That is quite an honor, you have to admit! She followed Christ and is his first known disciple (she asked him to help the couple at the wedding at Cana...she knew of what he was capable...before the other disciples did). It is only right that we honor her. The church uses the word "veneration" is regards to Mary. She is greatly venerated (not worshipped). She venerated as, say you may venerate your grandmother - someone you honor greatly and speak well of and tell people about as someone who embodies goodness. You probably even have her picture up on the wall. That is the way Mary is to be thought of, but as the ultimate grandmother or mother...someone who has your utmost respect and love, but not someone you would worship as that is saved only for God. There are so many times I hear people talk about what the Catholic Church believes or says...but those people generally are going on what they have heard and have NOT checked the Catechism of the Catholic Church nor asked a a priest or a Catholic who understand their faith or any real source.

The tour guide contradicted his statement. If Jesus has six siblings why are they not with their mother Mary during the crucifixion, to give support. Even one of the six wasn’t there is very surprising. And why did Jesus told John to take care of his mother instead of Jesus siblings? In Aramaic the word brother ( Adelphos) doesn’t refers to blood brothers but also to relatives.
Jesus in essence was giving his mother Mary to all of us (woman behold your son) and saying the same to John about Mary (son behold your mother). We are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, so we have to keep an open mind that Jesus my not have had biologic siblings. The tour guide is not an expert on everything and totally omitted the part of scripture where it says Mary was full of Grace and all will call her blessed and she is the woman with a crown seated in heaven as stated in Revelation. Further, just because the bible doesn't command that we pray to her, does not mean we cannot ask her to pray for us to the Lord our God. This is called intercessory prayer. She loves us and we honor Mary and we can therefore ask her to pray for us. There is nothing wrong with asking people to pray for us. She is the vessel by which the Lord was brought to us and the new covenant that beheld our Savior.
