The best part for me is 2:40-3:41 when the violins are at their highest in rilievo. Especially the crescendo at 3:11. Breath-taking. Hans Zimmer is truly a genius.
+Mia Dowd Yeah I too love that bit where the violins go high pitched and shit and the other high pitched bit but dragged out more at 3:11... What the fuck is a crescendo?
Erin Patterson I got emotional when this played when Henry tells his father to come home in 5. It was like seeing the love between Will and Elizabeth turn evolve into the relationship between Father and Son.
What makes this piece so utterly perfect (besides its stellar beauty) is that it's a very slowed down version of Will and Elizabeth's theme from Curse of the Black Pearl, especially from 1:30 to about 3:50, but also it's a more mature version of their theme. Like they've been through all this stuff together throughout the trilogy and instead of it being great crashing violent new love like in the first movie now they're both much older and wiser and more well-suited for each other so their theme too can take on a slower more minor-key pace. Idk if that's just me but it is absolutely one of my most favorite parts of this soundtrack
Laurie Ramone Actually that portion you're thinking of is about 0:36 to 1:22 and yeah, the music is a slowed-down version of a theme from the Curse of the Black Pearl, but the songs from that film weren't accurately named, so it's kind of hard to say which is Will and Elizabeth's theme without rewatching the movie.
Except that they are cursed to only see each other once every ten years now and since Will is now immortal he will have to watch Elizabeth grow old and die from afar :,(
I stop listening all Pirates of The Caribbean OST since 2009 but after all these years that kind of feeling is still there...deep inside my heart, I don't know how to express that, its like I'm sailing into a new world when every time I start to listening this song...
"We're a lot alike you and i, i and you. Us." I feel the same, the music in some movies and show have stuck with me deep down, and linger in the back of my mind and soul. POTC is one of said movies, the music is Rum for my soul (best way to pu lol
eddieguererro46 Same, bud. At Worlds End is where the series ended for me. On Stranger Tides was an unecessary drag on, and i dread the one now coming....
I like how the music used in 3:11 was also used in the fifth movie as the dutchman goes underwater once again and Will sends his son home to his mother.
The great thing about this piece is that you actually feel and get goosebumps from listening to it it is that feelingful. I mean, even if you haven't watched the movie itself, you can still feel that building cresendo at 3:11. It's so nice!
2:39 - 2:57 - The work of the violins is sublime and the second part makes me weep. It is a grand and epic melodies and simple at the same time, without needless virtuosity. Wonderful! O trabalho dos violinos é sublime e a segunda parte me faz lacrimejar. É uma melodia grandiosa e épica e ao mesmo tempo simples, sem virtuosismo desnecessário. Maravilhoso!
It’s been two years and I still have goosebumps when I hear music from this movie. 😌❤️ I mean, creating such strong emotions every time you listen to it - Hanz Zimmer is a genius.
This song is one favorite all time song, I listen to it a milllion times a day, and I could never get over it. 2:40 is just at the part where I start crying because it just reminds me of how Will And Elizabeth finally has the freedom to love each other without being disturbed.
Cuando escucho esta música siento como si esa parte de pirata en mi alma se llenará, las ganas de no parar de ver a esos héroes que para ellos la piratería era todo por lo que vivían, me hace sentir fuerte y con fe 🥲🥲🥲
With Hans Zimmer OSTs, it's hard to pick the one you love the most, but it's impossible to find one that you HATE. Please Hans Zimmer, marry my ears and soul...
2:42 and on, especially 2:56 and those violins, are EPIC. You can compare this song to any other, as I've heard, but those violins are no where to be compared to. Whoever is in front of you may want to kiss you with this song. This is perfect for those that go overseas and say goodbuy or hi again to love ones, especially ARMY wives, as I am one!
i live on the south Coast of the UK, and there are a few spots of coastline that whenever i go there I instantly think of this song, and I’m always overwhelmed with emotion, like the sea is calling me home.
No matter what everyone else thinks, I will forever love every Pirates movie, including the last one and the new one coming soon. People hate this and the 4th, and I do admit they have their flaws; but I have never seen such a perfect series like this, not even Star Wars beats this for me.
I love this theme, its when Will loves Elizabeth so much that he trusts her with his Heart and gave her the power to have it or destroy it if he would stray away from his mission on the Dutchman and become a villain
Why do so many people not like Will and Elizabeth's love story? It was half of what made Pirates of the Caribbean so amazing, with Jack Sparrow being the other half. Pirates of the Caribbean 4 absolutely sucked, because half of it was just.. missing. No Will, no Elizabeth, no good.
I don't mind their relationship. What I do mind is the inconsistency and incoherent plot-line that made up the entire 3rd movie. It's the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Half-way through, I thought I had suffered a brain aneurysm.
I disagree the first 3 movies are amazing the fourth movie not so much but they weren't pushing it by making two more they kept making them because the story line(s) were so good and the franchise was huge because so many people liked them and no ones ever made a movie like these. Potc is way better than a lot of the other movies coming out these days ~_~
The 4th wasnt very good because not a single cannon or naval battle appeared. I was like wtf... Hopefully the 5th has alot of naval battles and cannons fired.
I actually love the 4th movie the best. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting to see Jack Sparrow's lady and Angelica was perfect for Jack. And the acting was amazing too. 2:39 onwards : the type of song i live for.
OMG! this has been STUCK in my mind for the past two weeks! i finally found it! its just, beautiful. i'm speechless. Hans Zimmer, you are the very best.
The best part for me is 2:40-3:41 when the violins are at their highest in rilievo. Especially the crescendo at 3:11. Breath-taking. Hans Zimmer is truly a genius.
Mia Dowd YOU ARE ON THE MONEY ON THAT ONE!!! THAT BUILD UP REALLY GETS TO YOU, ESPECIALLY THAT CRESCENDO AT 3:11.
+Mia Dowd Me too. Love that part.
+Mia Dowd Yeah I too love that bit where the violins go high pitched and shit and the other high pitched bit but dragged out more at 3:11...
What the fuck is a crescendo?
Connor Kitchen lol. a crescendo is the increasing volume of the sound in a musical piece, its usually at the highest peak of the song.
Mia Dowd Like climaxing in sex? So the next time a girl tells me she is going to "cum" can I correct her?
Jack: "Mr. Gibbs, you may throw my hat if you'd like."
Gibbs: "Aye, Captain!"
Jack: "Now go and get it."
Gibbs: -.-
I love this scene :D
Hahahaha silly Captain 😂
ALL THESE MUSIC MAKE ME WANNA WATCH THE MOVIE AGAIN AND AGAIN!
Same here bruh, every time i listen, makes me wanna cry (especially after johhny depp's departure)
@@bard8023 same it’s not gonna be the same without Johnny
True
Anyone cry when they heard this theme make a reappearance in the ending of Dead Men Tell No Tales?
Me
Everyone did :')
Erin Patterson
I got emotional when this played when Henry tells his father to come home in 5.
It was like seeing the love between Will and Elizabeth turn evolve into the relationship between Father and Son.
Actually this is the very end of Dead Men Chest when Captain Barbosa comes back to life.
Me

Laurie Ramone A like to you man
Laurie Ramone Another like to you. I didn't notice till you pointed it out...
+Laurie Ramone Wow that's a really well thought out theory
Except that they are cursed to only see each other once every ten years now and since Will is now immortal he will have to watch Elizabeth grow old and die from afar :,(
2:40 just the best part, i love violins *-* so beautiful!
I absolutely bawled at the beach scene with Will and Elizabeth. It was so romantic and heartbreaking at the same time.
Part of the crew, part of the ship.
wow nice comment
The use in pirates 5 killed my heart.
Yep, mine too
this is perfection
i feel infinite when i listen to this
Genius
Nice reference, just read that over the summer
Moovie is better but thats one opinion
I stop listening all Pirates of The Caribbean OST since 2009 but after all these years that kind of feeling is still there...deep inside my heart, I don't know how to express that, its like I'm sailing into a new world when every time I start to listening this song...

"Keep a weather eye on the horizon."
Hans Zimmer is awesome!
dont forget klaus badelt who wrote all the melodys :)
dudel39 yea right, german melodywriting
im wrong, melody for 3rd movie are written from hans zimmer
Or people who work for him?
Awesome is not even close to what he is.He is maybe even the best music composer of the 20th/21st century
After watching the 5th film, this makes me cry ..
Same, the fact that this series is ruined and will never get the ending it deserves.
Why does it make you cry though?
Will and.Elizabeth. Still a better love story than Twilight.
Anything is a better love story then twilight
Dude any love story is better than twilight
I havent Even seen twillight, so i guess so
Twilight is undubitably good, but that stands nowhere when POTC is into consideration!
waaaaay better
Sad and longing, but with an undertone of power. Truly a masterpiece. It has so much emotion in it. Beautiful. There's no other word for it.
You described it perfectly! Sad and longing but yet powerful. Getting shivers listening to this beautiful piece of music
Who here watched pirates 5 and was SO SATISFIED when this theme showed up again upon the best moment of the film? Will and Elizabeth are the real OTP
E443 Productions nope
A lot of us
2:43 .....my absolute favorite part of any piece of music ever. i could listen to it my whole life.
I like how the music used in 3:11 was also used in the fifth movie as the dutchman goes underwater once again and Will sends his son home to his mother.
never get sick of this soundtrack
By far for me the most beautiful, and hauntingly sad piece in all the POTC soundtracks.
Especially from 1:30 on.
You absolutly are fucking right
totally agree.
@Stormer248 i thought that was from awe? (btw r u still active lmao)
@Stormer248 at worlds end
ur still active lmao
@Stormer248 yea ikbut that soundtrack was from at worlds end, not from stranger tides
I cried when this played during 5 at the end. All you guys who saw it know what i mean
I am here because the end too ! I know that feel !
Im already crying at the beginning while Will said 'I love you, son'
The great thing about this piece is that you actually feel and get goosebumps from listening to it it is that feelingful. I mean, even if you haven't watched the movie itself, you can still feel that building cresendo at 3:11. It's so nice!
Beautiful song... one of the best song from Pirates of the Carribbean.
I just love pirates of the Caribbean!
"There have not been a gathering like this in our life time."
"And I owe them all money..."
Cry. Just cry. I heart Will Turner.
Me too.
I see what you did there!
amongst the hail of bullets and the clashing of sabers, the two lovers made their vowels and sealed it with a kiss. best wedding ive ever seen.
This along with Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho and At Wit's End are my favourites on the At World's End album! Simply amazing.
I must've listened to this at least 500 times (I'm not even kidding).
Me too man
I don't blame you
i wanna like but, you have 69 likes.
No one blames you. I would listen to this all flippin' day if I could.
that moment when will dies, and you just sit there in the front of your TV and screams NOOOOO :'( the saddest moment in all pirates of the carribean!!
and then will lives
I freaking cried
wherenot weard that's understandable.
:'(
The Flying Dutchman needs a captain
What makes me shed some tears was because how beautiful and tragic Will and Elizabeth’s journey was plus the songs really fits in
2:39 - 2:57 - The work of the violins is sublime and the second part makes me weep.
I loved when this played at the first scene of Will, it made it so tragic.
Music like this is enough to thrust you into a whole new world created by the enchanting notes of this piece.
One of the greatest songs ive ever heard. Its just so magical with so many components-with aggression and love story at the same time. It’s awesome!
One of the pieces that touched me on a spiritual level
at 2:38. the sound like a violin sounds so inspirational to me for some reason
One of the strongest Hans Zimmer's things ever.
Happiness, sadness, love, life and death. All of them is here. Like in the end of war.
2:39 I had that stuck in my head for years and didn't know what it was!
Hans Zimmer's great.
Sounds so peaceful and hopeful, like a new day.
This song is one favorite all time song, I listen to it a milllion times a day, and I could never get over it. 2:40 is just at the part where I start crying because it just reminds me of how Will And Elizabeth finally has the freedom to love each other without being disturbed.
amazing just....beautiful well done mr zimmer well done indeed
That light repeat of the melody in the end heats so much
1:20 this great part of the soundtrack was reprised for the ending of Dead Man Tell No Tales. And it was still beautiful
One of the best pieces of music ever written! Brings me so much peace.
2:38 magnifique :')
+krokmou95 Oh yeah! Gets me pumped to get on the ride again and again!
Va voir "At Wit's End" cette partie y est aussi ;)
At this point i can't stop listening .
ikr.
This is my favorite part in the whole soundtrack
Cuando escucho esta música siento como si esa parte de pirata en mi alma se llenará, las ganas de no parar de ver a esos héroes que para ellos la piratería era todo por lo que vivían, me hace sentir fuerte y con fe 🥲🥲🥲
POTC has some of the most beautiful music ever composed
I just love this piece so much. One of the best soundtrack I've ever listened.
Beautiful i cant stop replaying this.
1:35 is one of my favorite sound tracks in the whole world. So many emotions are linked to such amazing music, we just have to find what they mean...
2:40 = Goosebumps!
1:35-4:03 I want for my wedding day as I walk down the isle. Thumbs up if you agree!!! It is so beautiful. Well done Hans Zimmer!
i live on the south Coast of the UK, and there are a few spots of coastline that whenever i go there I instantly think of this song, and I’m always overwhelmed with emotion, like the sea is calling me home.
chills....every.single.time!!!! i just love this soundtrack

Am I the only one to get Goose bumps when at @2.41 ?
same here !!!
makes 3 of us
We need to start a barbershop quartet. The four of us.
It's the key change.
+bhuvanesh arasu Most of us do :) Those violins are heartbreaking
I love this theme, its when Will loves Elizabeth so much that he trusts her with his Heart and gave her the power to have it or destroy it if he would stray away from his mission on the Dutchman and become a villain
This, this is beautiful
After so many years.
Always
Such an epic score....!!
2:40 onwards.. never fails to bring a tear to my eye! Beautiful..

i think that the fourth movie is prefer to jack sparrow most...because has the right to fell in love!!!!!we waited for a long time (i do)
The 4th wasnt very good because not a single cannon or naval battle appeared. I was like wtf... Hopefully the 5th has alot of naval battles and cannons fired.
1:35 those trumpets hit so hard 😫😫😫 love it so much 😍😍😍
Pirates of the Caribbean brought me here
There are no words, such as epic or magnificent to describe this. It's just so... so.... all I can say is WOW!
from 1:38 the moment becomes in something soulful
who agrees this was sad music and a sad scene
1.40 and it start the best memories of the film
This movie music is second to none. Hands down absolutely phenomenal
I actually love the 4th movie the best. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting to see Jack Sparrow's lady and Angelica was perfect for Jack. And the acting was amazing too.
2:39 onwards : the type of song i live for.
This is the kind of music we live for :)
this brings me to tears everytime. the end of drink up me hearties is so heartbreakingly beautiful. LOVE this soundtrack
Those Cellos...
Hans Zimmer is an absolute genius! This song has it all, beauty, depth, feeling, intensity, and drama.
I saw the movie. I cried.
Me too
I luv it when the beautiful highpitched violins come in!!!!! its unbelievable that hans zimmer can write a piece like this!!!
I freaking love this song! it makes me wanna cry at the end XD
This will forever bring a tear (flood of tears) to my eyes
you would need a captain who knows those waters ...
WHAT'S BECOME OF MY SHIP !!!!
All the POTC soundtrack give me chills.....its just so so AMAZING!!!
I cry every time I hear this song
OMG! this has been STUCK in my mind for the past two weeks! i finally found it! its just, beautiful. i'm speechless. Hans Zimmer, you are the very best.
Who's coming here for 2:41 after watching Dead Men Tell No Tales ?
Me xD
Yesss
So glad they reused this for "Dead Men tell no Tales"!
the start of the music is the same as woad to ruin from king arthur. also composed by zimmer.
good ideas tend to stick!
my god, the cello at 2:10 is stunning
*crying* this song is to wonderful >o< 2:40
I love that soundtrack, I watch the movie again and again.
We need that again in #5. Plz Hans.
He's not doing the music for the fifth one :((((((((((
what??? Nahhhhh... Don't tell me... Please.. It cant be... ;-;
PotC would never be the same without his music... ;-;
one of his ''proteges'' ,Geoff Zanelli, is doing the ost this time. He's worked on the past four films, I guess that's good news.. :\
it IS in #5 ;)
In Retro spec those movies are just legendary
(Part 1-3)
I can't believe Will and Elizabeth had a Kid!
Are talking about the christian in the fourth movie?
german cavallo no. There is an after scene credit scene in the third movie showing they had a kid
Bianca Capanna oh fuck. Missed that one. Do you know anything about the redhead in the 3rd movie?
I've heard rumors that the Christian in the fourth movie that goes with the mermaid is actually their son. That would be weird... :)
Its a very weird saga
