English translations have come late. Before that everything was in indian languages only..... Studying in English, as much as I know will make the subject another burden. Translations very rarely are correct.
Well yes.. ideally one should read in sanskrit.. coz thats the language in which hindu books were originally written.. However many ppl are not well versed in hindi / sanskrit.. thts y most prefer emglish..

Friends never read hindu philosophy or Hinduism books in English, just read in Hindi. Bhagwat geeta is enough these books are useless
