Apex Fleet SSTO - Ascent Profile (Re-Upload)

Set control point forward (0), activate SAS and start the engine.
After rotation pitch up to 20°.
Once the Apoapsis reaches around 60,000m set the craft to point prograde.
Once the engine flames out coast out of the athmosphere.
Switch modes (2), re-enable the engine gimbal (9) and circularize.
Before reentering the atmosphere activate the three sets of canards (pitch and roll).
Notes:
Joystick/analogue control is highly reccomended.
The craft has no means to generate electricity on board and is reliant on its support vessels to recharge the on-board batteries. For this reason power should be conserved and lights, SAS etc should be disabled when not in use.
The craft has two batteries on board mounted on the top and bottom of the fusalage. The upper battery serves as a backup and must be enabled manually.
At extremely high speeds either the SAS or control surfaces should be disabled depending on the mission profile.
If the craft is only going to be used on Kerbin the x6 LF/OX tanks can be removed and the two wing and center tanks filled to capacity.

hey cupcake, i have a quick question, how do i do the timewarp shot where you are moving closer to the planent whilst also keeping the craft in frame, camera tools mucks it up by moving the craft out of frame as soon as time warp is engaged, please help?

I'm afraid there's no quick fix. Shots like you describe have often taken me 20-30mins to film. Saying that if you have a small enough vessel you can use Physics warp to speed the process up a little (Alt +). If HDD space is an issue you can reduce the frame rate as the footage will be sped up greatly so all the extra frames are redundant. Still, you can enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to eat while the shot is being captured.

@@CupcakesLanders good gracious, i didn't know that much time went into your videos, with my videos im very lazy with shots and try to get one that in the moment im like *that looked cool* but i really should try to kinda plan them out instead of going into the mission willy nilly. But i am doing a 6 months project on film and editing where i will be working on improving my editing for ksp content so hopefully my talent will improve in that aspect. #yorkshireteaforlife

It’s possible to pick up a lot more speed. There is an alternative ascent profile whereby you accelerate while going level at 15,000m before pitching up to ascend to orbit. It’s more fiddly then the standard ascent profile but I can demonstrate it if the demand is there.
