Love both these guys. Diametrically opposed personalities and styles. Dan asks the best, most insightful, most appropriate-to-the-guest questions. Pat just joyfully goes off on stuff. But both are very on-point. Whenever I want the straight skinny, a stop at these two places will fill the bill.
I love the DP show, but I can listen to McAfee all day and enjoy it. He's a little abrasive, but he's very enthusiastic about what he believes and stands behind it 100%. GREAT interview (as always).

Just learned something new today, saw AJ Hawk today on the pat McAfee show and he mentioned he knew about Dan Patrick since he went by Patrick Pugh, always thought his last name was Patrick!
He got his start in Dayton on WTUE radio . I met him in the early 1980s ,when I was in high school ,at a haunted house that he was covering for the radio station. We were chatting and he told me to have a good time and “ behave myself “ with my lady. Hahahaha He has always been a great guy that was easy to talk to. Shortly after his WTUE days he did sports in Columbus then he got his big break with the Mothership as he calls it. That is when he had the name change.
Got no problem with how silly Mcafee usually is on his show, but having said that I really enjoyed seeing him be serious for an extended amount of time. Thought it was a really, really good interview. Glad I listened to this.

Absolutely, he has turned Cole's career around. And now with HHH loosening some of the language restrictions, he should get even better.
