I grew up there. I'm too young to remember the Ford Rotunda but I do remember the giant "Presto Whip" cans on Telegraph between Ford & Michigan Ave (I think) Did you ever gauge the air pollution content by standing on Colson & Chase Rd and looking east. If it was totally smog free you could read the "Kresge" sign on Schafer Rd.

@@stephaniegormley9982 I remember the Rotunda! Christmas there was positively enchanted, just like Hudson’s downtown. We lived on N. Elizabeth St., and I went to Lindberg Elementary. Learned to swim at Levagood. I remember the Presto Whip cans too. Never gauged the air pollution, but I don’t remember it either. I have so many good memories!

Actually, most of the people who live there are Lebanese, not Afghani. But I guess you wouldn't know that because you just wanted to say your lil' uneducated comment huh😂

I lived there 77 years ago. We lived in an old house on Michigan in West Dearborn. Boy, has it changed. Looks like the only thing still there is the library. Went to schools there and worked at Ford Research on Oakwood.

I agree. Nothing looks the same. I miss Jacobson's, can't remember the department stores across the street from Jacobson's, muirheads? Crowley's, westborn and the shops B- Spiegel's, Dearborn market, the sign of the beef eater, Pendleton, kitchen glamour. Those were the days. I sure miss them. I bought my prom dress from a bridal store in old Dearborn.
