I used an aluminum rod on mine, did the same thing years ago with my old dc direct steel that didn't come with his hammer, I used a wwe triple h sledge hammer and cut the handle off drilled a hole and used a chopstick for handle on that one! in the original comic steels hammer sometimes looks gigantic with a log handle and sometimes it's regular size with a long handle!
Nice mod! Thanks for sharing. I'll have to do this for MANY of the McFarlane weapons since they all utilize that crappy, gummy plastic which makes them all bend overtime, effectively killing the overall look of the display for me.
Excellent job! I just ordered this figure yesterday. He has another problem that nobody has seemed to notice; and that’s the fact that he is lacking the two hoses that run down the sides of both his legs on the outside. McFarlane really annoys me with how idiotic him and his staff are. How can they have the source material in front of their face and the morons still can’t get it right? But I just wanted to share the hose idea with you because I’m gonna do it on mine. It will take this figure to the next level.
Good on you for looking out for the community
Thanks man. I enjoy it.
Thanks for posting this. I was hoping after Shao Kahn that McFarlane would have gotten their shit together with their weapons.
No problem. And this one is worse.
PREASE do more fixes in the future.
I like the “how-to” stuff.
I can do that.

The hammer is trash. Somehow it is gummy yet fragile as the handle broke when I tried to straighten it. Will be trying your fix. Thanks.
