  • From September 15th, 2024. As I had promised, here’s my other follow up and very last video from earlier that same evening of Amtrak 21 the southbound Texas eagle departing on out of downtown St. Louis for San Antonio Texas at McRee Avenue on the oak hill part of the Union Pacific Desoto sub. This is at iron mountain junction near interstate 44. My buddy Scott Nauert and my other buddy Robbie Welsh joined me here at McRee avenue for this rare occasion too which was just as great. Amtrak 21 still has the same 2 beautiful newer phase 7 painted P42’s numbers 69, and 174 leading it back to back but now it has only 6 superliners as the last superliner car was taken off the train in Saint Louis for Amtrak 22 the the very next days northbound Texas eagle from San Antonio to take back to Chicago in the morning hours. I’d say Amtrak 21 was about 30 to 40 minutes late leaving Saint Louis as this video was taken at 8:42 pm although I think other freight train traffic hung it up at grand avenue as it was departing from Saint Louis gateway station. Amtrak 21 normally leaves or departs out of Saint Louis southbound for San Antonio at 7:42 pm if it is on time arriving from Chicago of course. Hope you all like this other video by me. Feel free to comment on it too. Enjoy! Jason.
