I most remember Mike in the #90 Heilig-Myers car. What always impressed me was how tough he was to pass on the track. He'd race fair but if you wanted to get by him you had to earn it. A very tenacious driver.

Lots of respect to your family, I hope people realize how tough getting into the top tier of any sport is but NASCAR is tougher because of the huge amount of money you have to find and keep finding! Three brothers from the sticks to make it, well that's Damn impressive I don't care what anyone says, lol

I was at Mikes house in Arnold the day before that tragedy happened. Mike was my dads boss at OK vacuum and he was doing some work on my dads car. I always will have memories of mike racing at Pevely on Saturday nights and riding my bike over to his house on Krueger lane to hang out at the shop. Great guy.

This was the best interview yet. Listening to Mike speak about losing his son, and how he tries to help those with his own experiences really hit hard. My family and I just had a huge misunderstanding or disagreement occur. Things don't seem that bad now as I definitely needed to hear this. Mike is still helping people just sitting there doing this interview. Thank you Mike and Kenny!

Finally! Been wondering for 22 years what happened with not getting the Penske ride. Always liked seeing Mike run . Really to me gained a lot of respect when he ran second to Adam Petty at Charlotte.....probably would have been easy to turn the young man but he didnt. Enjoyed the interview very much Mr. Kenny Wallace!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Mike Wallace's daughter was the best female driver in NASCAR I've seen so far...imo
I wish she could've got the right opportunity to drive for a good team, I think she would've been a NASCAR Winner too!
    Great show Kenny!
It was a pleasure to watch Mike drive.

    I Love The Lake Speed’s , Dick Trickle’s, Ken Schroeder’s , Mike Wallace’s of The Racing World
I love em now more than ever
I actually regret not recognizing just how great they were and what they really mean to racing &
NASCAR Racing in general when I was a kid but that wasn’t presented to Us the way it really should have been , as well as the fact when you’re a kid it’s all about those BiG Names that are always Winning & Running for Championships
But without The Real OG Race Car Drivers that bleed it and will do whatever it takes to race
& they’re need there for those BiG Names to shine
Those type Drivers I named are the Blood of The Sport
Need them to blow a tire or lose some debris at just the right time to keep doing what’s best for NASCAR and thus those BIG NAMES DRIVERS that bring all the $ into The Cup
Thank You and Respect Due to
The Real OG Race Car Drivers
    All of You
    Yes Kenny The Herminator
That obviously includes You as well , Sir ✌️ 🙏

Great show Kenny! Great to hear from Mike! Big fan of you guys and the whole Wallace family. Part of my childhood, just a guy from Georgia who enjoys racing over the years. Recently bought some Stacker 2 a few months back and thought of you and the old Stacker 2 commercials 20-22 years ago in the 2000’s and you running the Stacker 2 23 car. Made my childhood memories. God Bless you ,Herm.
Hope you get back on TikTok cause I just found your channel. Thanks for all you do

Mike was kind of "the forgotten Wallace" of NASCAR. Much like Brett was with the Bodine brothers and I often remember that...aside of any other families in NASCAR...your family and the Bodine family are the ONLY TWO to get ALL THREE brothers entered in the same race/show.
I'm GLAD that you clarified...rather your brother did...about what happened to him because I always thought that that bad crash at Daytona in the...if my memory serves me right...the #4 Monster Energy truck that Ricky Carmichael had just lost the ride the year before it.
But I always thought that that crash had made a major impact on Mike.
I laughed pretty hard when he said, "Still got the same mom and same dad."
    Typical Wallace humor.
Not to goad you along Herman, but you really DO need to get Geoff; Brett and "the Onion." on your program too!!!
ESPECIALLY Geoff because he got into a "...different form of racing." altogether after NASCAR and not everybody knows what it was or how it came about so HIS story would be FASCINATING!!!!!

Dale Earnhardt Sr was a totally different animal than everybody else. There's a reason why he became the greatest racecar driver in NASCAR's history. His main focus was winning. Cheating was never a part of his program. He always physically inspected every racecar that he ever drove. Anything not right got corrected or he'd refuse to drive it. I worked at Daytona, Darlington, and Talladega NASCAR tracks 1996-2006 as part of the security/safety teams. I also raced in NASCAR North for many years and did fairly well. IMHO, those were some of the best years of my long life.

Mike is one of my favorite drivers from the cup series back in the day. I remember when you and your brother Mike trying to qualify for the 2007 Daytona 500 at the Gatorade Duels 150s. I remember when Mike finished 4th in the Daytona 500 that year. I also remember him from the Nationwide Series driving the GEICO car. I also remember him driving for Kevin Buckler in the 2009 Gatorade Duels and for Bob and Brian Keselowski the red #92 car the year after. Mike did it all and he was a real good driver. You, Chrissy, Mike and Rusty are all a good racing family. Quick Question, about the Gatorade Duels 150’s in 2007 what was it like racing with guys like Bill Elliott, Ward Burton, Michael Waltrip, Dale Jarrett & Former Rookie of the Year James Hylton and seeing Mike qualify for the Daytona 500 that year?
