Love the furr baby ❤️❤️my kitties love to jump on my lap especially when I have cup of coffee and getting ready to take a sip.. they always bump my cup,so I've learned only get a half a cup so I don't wear my coffee and kitty get their loving at the same time
Oh my, your heart block is so pretty! I love it when a block gives a secondary pattern like this one does. Four blocks would make an adorable wall hanging for Valentine’s Day. I also think that making enough blocks for 2 rows would make a lovely table runner. My quilting list is getting longer and longer!😂 Sweet Tiggs is showing his love for you by “biting/kissing” your nose! ❤🐈
It was such a fun one to sew up too with all of those scrappy bits of color. 4 blocks would be such a pretty wall hanging for Valentine's Day---and you could certainly make one up just in time! Someone else said they heard that cats show their love by biting noses...I never heard this--but if that's the case, he is definitely a fan of our family LOL! =)
Corey, I love, love, love the hack to complete the secondary block by just sewing 1/2 inch away while it is still all connected. So very easy. Thank you so much for all you do. Love your videos. So educational.
I'm so glad you found that helpful! I always seem to have a lot of 2 1/2" scraps and I like that trick for when I want to use them to make 2" finished HSTs. =)
Tigs is your official Mascot. I love seeing him. I have a beautiful 12 year old Calico girl that we adopted at the SPCA 2 years ago. She quickly became our everything. Love this heart, I think I'm going to make a couple 18" blocks today to use for pillow covers. ❤️🐈🐾🪡🧵✂️
Tiggs!! 🧡🤍 Thank you for the Scrappy update. Like you, I’m fitting it in between some projects, so thank you for admitting that. It helps, a lot. Thank you to for the heart ideas, and joy filled video. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Cute block whatever size you choose… i like your ‘hoodie’ jacket… pink and white… getting ready for Spring thoughts and you kitty is adorable! Thank you for the inspiration.
The heart block is super cute! I like to have a seasonal wall hanging in my kitchen and I think the four block version would be perfect for February! Hi Tiggs, so glad you stopped by to say hello! 😅
I love love love the heart pattern with half square triangles. I love it so much I am putting this pattern in front of all my other patterns to make as my next quilt. ❤❤❤
Sew adorable. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. Thank you for these delightful videos. Brightens my day. Have a lovely and blessed weekend. 🥰❤️🪡🧵
Oh I am so glad you aren't rushing through the scrappy Irish Chain because I want to keep up and I am only on my 4th block lol this made me feel so much better. The heart is adorable. I am a sucker for any heart block! Also most star blocks.
Fun, fun!!!! Another scrappy block! The ❤ is beautiful. Now I'll be collecting fabric to try this out. One more row to go on my Irish chain quilt and then will begin the second one. My pace has been to complete 1 row per week and has been very doable. All the tips you showed us in previous videos have been most helpful. Your blocks are beautiful and will make a really nice quilt! Thanks for your time and inspiration.
7:31 oh my goodness! I just discovered this video today!! This is the best HST hack ever! I love having the smaller 1 1/2” already done! Thank you much!
Thanks so much for your beautiful scrappy heart block Corey. I've never seen your trick before to get two half square triangles of different sizes. Love your sun washed collection. Received some as part of Fat Quarter Shop's Moda collection of the month. 🤗
One more block to go on the Scrappy Irish chain!!! 🎉 Corey your instructions for choosing fabric and pressing instructions along with sewing tips were so helpful. I love the scrappy heart! My bucket list is so huge - maybe one day. Thanks for all you do! You’re so talented!
Thanks for sharing your "heart" with us! Hi Tiggs the snoopervisor!!!!! My Salvador aka Kitty Boy only loves when he wants to love......and if he doesn't, he bites at me too!
I understand why you don’t work on the Irish chain quilt like some of us do, you are so busy whipping up some Beautiful other blocks for us to go Oooo Ahhhh! I will attempt this cute heart block. Thank-you for All You do. Now to find your fb page :D I love how you explain the pressing, that is one of the reasons I can get through the Irish chain quilt. I never pinned before, but I am now
Thank you for the wonderful Heart block. It is so pretty. I recently subscribed and love your videos. Can I tell you have much I love your quilting shirts and hoodies. So cute! ❤

Tiggs is such a beautiful big boy he is always a lovely addition to any video

Thanks for sharing. Just love the tutorials on different HST methods. An awesome scrap buster. I've been saving my HST from other projects, so I definitely have to put a few blocks together with those leftovers. Have a blessed day.
I love the heart block, especially made up in your beautiful fabrics. It’s definitely going on my bucket list. Thanks for being a bright spot in my day!
I love watching your videos and your creativity and joy for quilting shines like your smile! I just love being able to see all the fabric lined up so beautifully. It reminded me of the walls of colorful ribbon all lined up on the walls of my grandparents' flower shop! What a wonderful memory to start my day! Aloha
Thank you first of all Thank You for the Irish Chain and I am in love with the Heart square so much it is pushing me to finish the Irish Chain so I can do the hearts and I just purchased my Sunwashed fabric for the mystery quilt in March. Thank you for keeping me busy. Love you much , with your quilts and videos and that sweet precious little kitty.❤❤❤
It's been so much fun using up some scraps in different ways!...I always seem to have plenty of those to choose from. =) And that silly Tiggs, he just had to make an appearance. =) He's been so ornery this week too but at least our weather was nicer so he wanted to be outside more and burn off some of his energy.
Thank you Corey for the Scrappy Hearts Quilt block pattern. It reminded me that I need to make a Heart block for the hanger that I gifted my daughter several years ago. I’ve made several holiday and seasonal ones for her but I messed up the Heart block that I was making and never went back to it. So thank you for this pattern. It’s always fun to see Tiggs. Maybe he needs a playmate. See you next time.
You are so welcome!...it was such a fun block to make. =) Tiggs does have a playmate, Frances...but I doubt she will ever make an appearance on camera. They do play but not as much as he'd like to!
Love this quilt block. I love to make small little wall hangings for my desk at work and this will be perfect. I'm going to use your 2 1/2-inch square technique and turn the 6-inch block into a potholder.
Your Scrappy Heart Block is beautiful, Corey. I particularly appreciate your tips about how to make it in three sizes. Thank you! Happy Valentine's Day to you and Ryan!
Thank you so very much. I love the heart block, I am going to try it today. I always appreciate you sharing your time and expertise with us. You are very talented. Love love your videos. Have a great weekend ❤❤❤ ❤❤
This is a very helpful series of videos. I've bought a mini charm pack every time I place an order since I started quilting in late 2019, and I've been wondering how to use them in a way that will work for me. Your method and your way of organizing work for me, and the mini charms will all work together. Now I just have to decide whether to keep the big spaces white or whether to use your very clever idea of a big beautiful print, there are lovely ones in Sunwashed, surrounded by white squares. I appreciate and will now be using your method for pinning, labeling, moving and sewing the blocks from the previous video also. Thank you very much!
Thank you, Corey for the instructions for this block. So pretty in your fabrics. I am working on my last block for the Scrappy Irish Chain. Once you get your methods down, they go faster. Thank you for suggesting this pattern. My next step is to set a goal date for having the blocks pieced together. If anyone has any tips on that, I would like to read them. Thank you again.
I really am looking forward to trying your Valentine block when I finish quilting my projects! Thank you for sharing how to make it! I love how the block forms a lovely secondary design! I love your Mr. Tiggs too! My cat, Millie, loves to bite my nose and even my chin at times. She is a very loving kitty like yours!
Nice to see Tiggs 😊 I have made 3 Irish Chain blocks so far. I've just downloaded a customised dress form to sew though, I have several sewing projects going at the same time. Thanks for the update 🌻🪡
I think it's fun to have more than one project going at a time....that means you can choose just what you'd like to work on when you have a chance to sit down and sew.
Love the heart pattern and all the mock ups of how they look in multiples. I finished my Scrappy Irish Chain blocks yesterday (I'm making one less row and one less column than the original pattern). Thanks for the inspiring video, you make Saturday mornings fun.

Thanks for sharing, and I’m right where you are in the scrappy Irish chain block - plugging along little by little! It’s nice simple sewing on days when I just want to sew something easy!
Oh!!! I love the heart block. I have a random half yard bundle of red/white prints and at some point I bought 3 white jelly rolls…. So glad you showed the 2-1/2” hst trick! My brain wasn’t fully engaged and now, I can’t wait to sit down at my machine tomorrow to try my hand at a V-day lap quilt. The 6” blocks may become mug rugs for a few of my galintines or maybe a cute bunting to liven up my cubicle 🥰😍🥰
I’m one of those “a little behind the curve” on the Irish Scrappy Chain quilt. I did, however, get my sample block made and it was a valuable assessment tool. I don’t know what it is with me and lavenders/purples but I’m taking them out of the mix. I like them with reproduction fabrics as they seem to add an aging element to the theme but not with my current scrap blocks that are primary colors + greens and pinks.
Morning I really like your heart pattern. Thanks for sharing. 😂😂 I’ve got 2 shoe boxes of 1-1/2 hst from stitch-n-flips. I’ve started using them as my leader/enders. Sewing them with solid fabrics. This is definitely a challenge but one that I’m starting to have fun with. Have a great weekend
Love the furr baby ❤️❤️my kitties love to jump on my lap especially when I have cup of coffee and getting ready to take a sip.. they always bump my cup,so I've learned only get a half a cup so I don't wear my coffee and kitty get their loving at the same time
Thank you for sharing. This would make a cute baby quilt. You kitty is so handsome.
It would make the sweetest baby quilt. =)

You're so welcome! That is a lot of small HSTs!...and what a great leader/ender project. =) You have a great weekend too!
