Honestly, stacy fakename is a DMs dream. Brennan doesn't need to remember ANY interaction, any random name, he doesn't need to remember the 18 different people who all got different names given to them, everyone's fake name is just stacy fakename.
The moment Danielle went "well fuck I need a fake name..." and turned it from a funny joke into a running gag maybe the most important from this series
just noticed that ivana saying she's heard the name stacy fakename before could be from when Hunch used the name is the ring, but even crazier is that she knows that name because it's flight's real name.
This joke got so perfectly adopted, I honestly find it hard to believe it wasn't planned. Are you really telling me the defining bit of the ENTIRE campaign just came from Siobhan not thinking of an actual fakename.
I love how this bit could've ended in the first episode if Trapp just said "that's such an obvious lie" but he riffed off it so well with Joanna Fakename
Wait so, Imelda Pulse is ACTUALLY Joanne Fakename (with no 'A'). However, she sometimes pretends to be Stacy Fakename, who she is not. The real Stacy Fakename exists and is a separate non-player character with a sister named Joanna Fakename (with an 'A'), who will never enter Fucks' establishment.
6:41 has got to be the funniest part of this bit ever... Stacy is WANTED cause of all the impersonation but Siobhan, in ridiculous fashion, claims that "Stacy Fakename" is a fake name, but ties it back to Joanne as "Joanne Fakename" being her real name lmao Edit: And then followed up with the brilliance that is "You can trust us, or my name isn't Joanne Fakename! Why would I lie?" "Well, you did lie right away when you first got here... But then you immediately corrected to what I know and believe is the truth! *TIME TO GET TEA AND VODKA AND CHAMPAGNE!!!"*
I keep trying to figure out when, exactly, the presence of this gag re-wrote all of the NPCs character sheets to give them the stat debuff "Credulous". Brennan just decided organically at some point to stop rolling for deception when people were posing as a Fakename and it implies SO MUCH about what's going on in the Big Guy's head. Obviously not an intentionally thematic thing, but it works so well nonetheless. The Big Guy is super paranoid and probably thinking ahead about how to leak all the juicy details, maybe ... using a fake name? And meanwhile, his brain is working overtime to look for threats *out there*. So another Fakename showed up in the Cortex. So what? Honestly, we get another one of those every couple of cycles.
At 4:20, Brennan did one of the best impressions of the king of the Gungan people that I have ever heard, and no one is giving it the credit it deserves XD
"What kind of fool do you take me for? _He's_ Stacy, _She's_ Stacy, _You're_ Stacy, _I'M_ STACY! Are there any other Stacy Fakenames I should know about?"

@@dalgona4819 No reason to be sad for that. I couldn't tell. Considering that English is a language of loan words, world spread nuance and constant re-definition occurring likely more frequently than in any other language, it's par for the course that new ways of expressing in English are introduced all the time. English isn't my first language either, though it is my primary one, and I both marvel at, and get confused by the constant nuances of expressions and words, and even inflection of speech making it incredibly difficult to make a clear line between "this is a rough translation" and "this is just not *common* English." Expressions in any language are also difficult, even if not requiring language to think.
WEEEEWOOOWEEEWOOO NEED ALERT "Fa" isn't a valid sequence in Japanese because in Japanese "f" is just what comes out when you pronounce "h" with you lips already in position for "u"
@bacicinvatteneaca You can actually use katakana fu with small a, e, i, or o to represent fa, fi, fe, or fo sounds. So フェ would represent the "fe" sound.
