So many good things about this video. You blew my mind. 1. You got straight to the point, which is rare on UA-cam 2. You solved all the issues I've been having the past days when following tutorials 3. So much value in short amount of time. Your explanations were concise Thank you for this masterpiece. You earned a new sub 💯
Amazing content. Please make more. I find that deep dives into one control rig example become overwhelming. What would be so good is lots of smaller examples, like a bow or fishing rod or taking damage or getting punched or an ai swinging a sword at a target. The more the merrier. Thank you for making this content.
Great Content! Hope to see some workflows that mix the procedural animation system, and physical animations. You and PrismaticaDev should do some work together on a Locomotion system! it would be much more refined and user friendly compared to ALS i think.
Your content has been very helpful to figure how this whole UE, quite complex, Animation System works. Thank you for sharing... I just bought your course to get the whole thing. Great job 👋
This is very useful tutorial, thank you! Is there a way to copy values from z axis rotation and set to y-axis-Local in my bone? I'm stuck with parenting wheels. my wheel hub has slight angle. as result it grabs values from 2 axes and not rotating properly. pretty sure you know how deal with it :) Really appreciated for any help!!!
I don't entirely understand what it is you're aiming for/the setup. You can add/set/offset local bone rotations with the SetTransform node on the specific bone, but I'm guessing that isn't what you're asking. The other axis shouldn't matter, if you are just rotating the wheel to roll in it's own local axis of rotation
@@LincolnMargison Thanks for the reply man, i solved it. To Euler>Mix axes Z to Y and > From Euler. My issue was rotation order, weird it works only with YXZ Anyway i have learned a lot from your videos, thank you!
very nice videos! can you show us how you can connect the rig control to the mouse input, so the head and the torse are always looking towards it, depending where the character looks at. character looking transforms this control rig (this red back), kind regards
At around the 11:50 mark it shows how to pass variables through to control rig, so for your use case you would just input the location and use that, rather than using the control location as the "look at" target. So in Blueprint (or however you wanted) you could calculate a position in front of the character's camera (EG: get cam world rotation, 'forward vector' from the world rotation and multiply it by 1000, add it to camera world location) then pass this through to control rig.

Thank you very much. Any content that makes control rig more accessible is gold!
pacing and flow of the video is 10/10 :)
Learned so much in such a short Tutorial! Please make more! Great work!

Amazing video!
incredible control rig learning content THANK YOU
Thank you !! I'd definitely want to see more useful tips like that :)
Amazing content. I wish there were more like this!
Very cool! Need more of that
Thank you a lot for this video! Keep on rocking!
