A panel that would fit on the trike would take 3-5 days to charge the vehicle in the summer in clear weather.
@@MegaDhz The Better Bike PEBL (www.better.bike) has a model with a 120w solar panel included standard, & has also said it wasn't feasible to actually charge it, but then went on to say it can charge a 25 mile battery in 6 hrs in the summer with clear weather. I'm not sure of it's dimensions but I'm pretty sure it's not too far off from this.
@@Bahrta_sai So with the bike in the video, with a 6,800 watt battery, you want to charge it with a 120 watt solar panel? That is after the solar panel converts the power to AC to run the charger? For the sake of argument, lets assume no losses. IF the sun is perfect on the roof, and there are no losses again as the sun is not hitting at 90 degrees to the panel, and the sun is the same all day , it takes 19 hours to charge. So since there are not 19 hours of sun a day, and the other loss factors such that the 120 watt panel puts out through the converter, through the charger, about enough to charge the vehicle in 6 days.
@@MegaDhz I realize I didn't word my comment very well. I don't know anything about voltage or what it would take to charge something this size, so I'm not implying that you could charge this with 120w. I realize it's much heavier & has a much longer range battery. All I'm saying is that for the size/weight (230 lbs) of the pebl it can charge in 7 hours with a 120w solar panel. It is also only a 25 mile battery. Would it be possible to add a panel with a high enough wattage to charge this in less than a day or at least less than a week?
@@Bahrta_sai Do you mean to charge the ZEV in less than a day? Here in this lattitude, to charge in a day would allow 8 hours charging and require 850 watts of power IF the sunlight was the same strength all day. Its not. The angle of the sun reduces the charging effectiveness so the average for the day would be half the output of the panel. So we need 1700 watts of power. Then the converters for the panel to 85 volts and the charging process itself lose about 10% to heat. So you would need 1870 watts of solar panels for an 8 hour charge. If you go to the higher range and power battery options you could need up to 4,675 watts.
I would love one of these! Just a couple of questions, can the owner expand or daisy chain the batteries for more milage? And are there any car dealerships available in Florida that can finance someone interested who needs to be financed for the ZEV?
There are 6 battery of up to 105 ah each in a daisy chain now. You can not add more to the chain as it will raise the voltage outside of parts range. With the 105 ah you can have over 100 mile range. To add more you have to run a second chain in parallel of the same battery. Car dealerships do not finance, that comes from a bank or some lender. A customer today paid with a loan from USAA.
Does it have child seat latches? If not that's be a great add on. I'd also be happy with just 30-45 mph to drive to the grocery store and drop the kids to school. Or for my husband to take to and from work during the spring summer fall.
It is legally a bike. A moped is a legal sub discription of a bike in states that allow mopeds meaning its restricted in speed and power. We can restrict it if you want a moped class. We do not offer financing, you need to get that through your bank.
You could, but its 250 lbs of battery and 45 minutes in and out. You cannot get long range and or high sustained speed in a vehicle with easy in and out battery. The weight is the issue. It takes only 4 hours to charge on the smaller battery, 6 on the larger.
They would be just trucked across the border. Bike price is the same as USA + freight. Any taxes, etc are in Canada and unknown to us. Bike + freight =$8,000 USD

@@MegaDhz Could you clear that statement up?, You said that they are considered a mobility scooter but CAN'T be driven on sidewalk EVEN THOUGH mobility in Quebec CAN be driven on a sidewalk. I am slightly confused.
That depends on the state you live in. There is no USA wide all states and territories rule. Contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com with your state information and we can check for you.
Most US states you have to renew your driver's license every several years and it's not too expensive. If you live in a state that doesn't have special designation for enclosed bikes then you have to have a motorcycle endorsement to drive this because by federal law three wheeled vehicles are motorcycles in the USA. In NC if there are no airbags you have to have a motorcycle endorsement and wear a helmet when operating it. (I hope someone wakes up and realizes this is a little silly at some point). So yes there's a fee for a driver's license and NC also charges personal property tax which is a percentage of blue book value when you renew your auto tag every year. No matter how you slice it this will cost you way less every year to drive than a gas vehicle and because it's electric you will escape the emissions inspection but you might have to pay the extra tax NC thinks they should get because you aren't buying gasoline for it and not paying the taxes that go for road maintenance through gas taxes. If you want to know what it's going to cost to drive this in your state go to your dept of motor vehicles and your local tax office show it to them and see what they say.
Does this count as a moped by law because we’re I live you can drive a moped without a drivers liscense if you are atleast 16 but idk if things like this count
You have to find out exactly what is a moped in your state. They might have to install the speed limiter for you as well. Most areas limit mopeds to 50cc and 35 mph which this goes faster than that unless they put the limiter on it.
What’s the max passengers this can hold? I thought I read that it can hold 3 additional people besides driver but now I don’t see that. If it can hold a total of 4 people this thing would be awesome for me. How do the seatbelts work? What’s the minimum age you’d recommend ride in the back? Ty
If you order the non bucket front seat it can hold 4. There are other models on the website with room for up to 5. Seatbelts work like any other seatbelt. State law should be looked at for minimum age. Some states say that for a motorcycle there is a minimum age allowed. As these are legally described as a motorcycle, this may apply in your state.
I've been pouring over everything I can find about your product but nowhere does it mention if batteries can be "upgraded" If I start out with a lesser battery and decide I want a better battery later is that possible (practical) or does the electronics for the battery have to change with the battery? I'm going on the idea that a battery might cost x today but in four years when I need a new one that better one might be lower price because better stuff has come out and thus more in my budget range. I'm at that age I don't need a gas vehicle anymore but i can't deal with something with a saddle because doggy needs to be able to ride along easily and i'd only rarely have passengers. Also trying to escape 800 a year in insurance on the car that's just dumb. I live in NC in a sort of rural area outside jacksonville, state law limits lsv's to roads posted under 35 which doesn't work for me all the roads around here are 50 and sometimes you have to hop on the highway for a few minutes to get someplace which is the next issue in NC min hwy speed is 40 for roads posted 55 and 45 for roads posted faster so I'm glad to hear you say 47 in your videos even though all the printed matter I've seen says 41 mph max speed. Do your salespeople have a bank they work with for financing and an insurer that will put the required liability insurance on it?
We have made this car differently that the T3-1 which had the double battery option. That one was dual packs which used 60 amp cells. Now we can do a single pack in 120 amp cells, and even up to 200 amp cells. The lithium listed is 100 amp cells. If more information needed, contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com
Are these exempt from license and requirements of insurance? I am looking for something like this I can pedal when I want with electric assist and if that’s in place they are Electric Trike Car 🚗 and exempt of all the expenses of a car. Just hoping
These vehicles were designed for a less than $400 a year cost of ownership including a sinking fund for tire and battery replacement, insurance, license fees, and charging cost. Pedals on an 800 lb vehicle is a joke. Nothing we know of can run for less than $400 a year in an enclosed vehicle. Whether they are exempt from insurance and license depends on the state that you live in. Many states do exempt, many do not. email sales@zelectricvehicle.com with your state information and we can check and advise.
Up until ruts start forming. The front wheel will have no rut to run in. I drive in soft snow several inches deep but go home if it gets deep or rutted.
Usually just local auto electrical shop, or motorcycle shop, depending on nature of issues. The electrical system is split. Lights, horn, windshield wipers on one system. Motor power on a 2nd. No difference at all from any motorcycle on system 1. Just like golf cart or forklift on system 2.
The license need is determined by your state. If you are handicapped in any way, you can drive it as a Mobility Scooter. If you are not handicapped, you may need a license. Your state will tell you. Or contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com
the cold does not bother them, they have heaters, and for Canada the optional battery warmer should be used. They do fine in light snow, but as soon as there are any ruts, they do not. Cars and trucks make ruts, but not for the front wheel. So as the snow deepens, the trike does not do as well.
It can be driven on the street, and in the bike lane. The license requirement is by state. Please contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com with your state information and they can find out for you.
I have so many questions! How is the battery charged? Does it need a special input? Is the battery removed and charged? Do you have paperwork on how many watts it takes to charge the batteries? Also, do they need to be garaged? Is there a temperature min/max in summer/winter for the battery? Are they reliable for daily use or recimmended for recreational use only? Have you had to repair one that's been in an auto accident? Will they need to be shipped to your facility? Are you willing to accommodate fixing here in Detroit, not a suburb? Are you importing these from outside US? If not, what's the difference between Zev and other manufacturers? I really believe that Detroit is a potential market for these vehicles. So excited!
We are the manufacturer. The shop is in the USA. A better communication would be through email at sales@zelectricvehicle.com The battery charge off of normal wall socket, they are not removable. The watts used to charge the battery vary by the battery option chosen. 5.7 kwh is the starting size. People use them for taxi and commercial vehicles and daily trans. We have not yet repaired any that were in a collision. Contact the email address for more questions and answers.
That is a by the State issue. There is no law for license for entire USA. Google Moped license for your state and you can check. If you are disabled or handicapped, the laws are different.

The vehicle is classed as an enclosed motor scooter. It can only have handlebars. The brakes and throttle are on the handlebars. The whole idea of this vehicle is to have no controls on the feet as that is the most common need for people. Additionally, the use of the handlebars is a safety issue in a small vehicle giving more room in a frontal crash for the front crush before the seat belt restrained driver is touched by the front.

It is legally a bike. A moped is a legal sub discription of a bike in states that allow mopeds meaning its restricted in speed and power. We can restrict it if you want a moped class. We do not offer financing, you need to get that through your bank.
Could you take out the battery and charge it?
You could, but its 250 lbs of battery and 45 minutes in and out. You cannot get long range and or high sustained speed in a vehicle with easy in and out battery. The weight is the issue. It takes only 4 hours to charge on the smaller battery, 6 on the larger.
I’m 12 in Ontario Canada can I drive this without a license/ can it be driven as a mobility scooter?
People do drive them as a mobility scooter. You will have to check your local laws.
What would be the landed price to toronto, Ontario Canada?
They would be just trucked across the border. Bike price is the same as USA + freight. Any taxes, etc are in Canada and unknown to us. Bike + freight =$8,000 USD
@@MegaDhz Wow ... so expensive!! Please what is the price of ZEV T2-1? Only vehicle without any POV or transport or some .. Tnx
@@nebeskisvod2588 V2 is $6940 with 68 ah battery pack. When the next electric vehicle with roll up windows and doors is $20,000+, we are a deal. It would not be that low if it was not for the fact that we use an formally abandoned parts warehouse and operate in the 2nd lowest cost of living area of the USA. There is less than $500 separating the trike from the cost of a motor scooter of similar battery size.
Wow! i want it,just one question though, is it considered a mobility scooter/3 wheel scooter in Quebec,if so, is it small enough to drive on a side walk.
Thank you.
It cannot be driven on a sidewalk. It is considered a mobility scooter/3 wheel as you say. The first to Canada as such went to BC last week. Contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com to order.
@@MegaDhz Could you clear that statement up?, You said that they are considered a mobility scooter but CAN'T be driven on sidewalk EVEN THOUGH mobility in Quebec CAN be driven on a sidewalk.
I am slightly confused.
@@legendsqeaks7976 The law might say you could do it, but its 50 inches wide, not does not fit.
But Does it need to be Licensed every Year for more expense?
If you want to know what it's going to cost to drive this in your state go to your dept of motor vehicles and your local tax office show it to them and see what they say.
if it's made in the US how much delivered to toronto canada? Serious!
About $8900 us.

Does this count as a moped by law because we’re I live you can drive a moped without a drivers liscense if you are atleast 16 but idk if things like this count
It is a moped generally under state laws. But there can be differences in your state. Contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com and tell them where you live
Where do you charge the vehicle? Can it be done at home? What does it cost to get a charging station installed at home?
There is no charging station required. It just charges / plugs into your wall plug with 110 volts, and uses about the same power as your microwave.
If I use it in the bike line do I need a license for it?
You need a license unless you are handicapped, disabled, or elderly
@@MegaDhz some told me you did not
@@dallinbrewster3569 Its up to you, not me. You asked whats legal, not what you can get away with doing
The lithium battery option is 10990. Does this still have a double lithium option? And what if I may as would be the price increase on that please?
Can you drive this in the winter with snow in the city of chicago?
Up until ruts start forming. The front wheel will have no rut to run in. I drive in soft snow several inches deep but go home if it gets deep or rutted.
Hello, is it possible for you to limit the speed at 20 km/h before sending the motorcycle ? It's for aged people.
Yes, we do that often.
what is the cost, delivered to toronto, canada in canadian dollars ?
Where would you take this to sort out any electrical problems that might arrive?
Usually just local auto electrical shop, or motorcycle shop, depending on nature of issues. The electrical system is split. Lights, horn, windshield wipers on one system. Motor power on a 2nd. No difference at all from any motorcycle on system 1. Just like golf cart or forklift on system 2.
Is there a local place in England where you van buy one of these
Trikes
Do you need a licenseTo drive one of these or is this like an enclosed mobility scooter
The license need is determined by your state. If you are handicapped in any way, you can drive it as a Mobility Scooter. If you are not handicapped, you may need a license. Your state will tell you. Or contact sales@zelectricvehicle.com
Can this be charged a a charging station or only at home, an area with 110-220 voltage?
Either at home or at a charging station.
I want one. I live in Canada. Will it do good with our winter?
the cold does not bother them, they have heaters, and for Canada the optional battery warmer should be used. They do fine in light snow, but as soon as there are any ruts, they do not. Cars and trucks make ruts, but not for the front wheel. So as the snow deepens, the trike does not do as well.
I have so many questions. What is this categorized in Massachusetts? Do I need a license or registration?

Fully legal in all states for on the road use. These are assembled in the USA. The vehicle comes with a USA Vin number and USA title documents.
A better communication would be through email at sales@zelectricvehicle.com
The battery charge off of normal wall socket, they are not removable. The watts used to charge the battery vary by the battery option chosen. 5.7 kwh is the starting size. Can a person get that with a steering wheel
