    • @benchinho
      @benchinho 9 років тому

      shako9876 exactly my thought... ...sounds "active" or "emg-like". would be interesting to know the pickups/preamp(yes/no)/etc...

    • @shako9876
      @shako9876 9 років тому

      benchinho I'm sure a lot of it is in the man's fingers, but the bass itself sounds immense. It has more "P" characteristics in the tone, but towards the end with the chordal part, you can hear that it's much more articulate than an old P bass normally is, so the Jazz pickup is definitely doing something without affecting the tone too much. I don't think it has an active preamp, but it's very clear and open sounding like a set of EMG pickups would be. I don't think they're EMGs, though. I'm really curious as to what's actually in there.

    • @kingdeedee
      @kingdeedee 9 років тому +4

      Rory McCallum this idea of needing to be better at something before giving negative criticism desperately needs to die. If a popular artist releases a song and I dislike it, should I need to go out and release something better before I can share my opinion on it? In the end, it's up to the listener to decide if they like it or not and the listener won't always be a musical person. Does that mean the listener can't have an opinion?

    • @rorymccallum7578
      @rorymccallum7578 9 років тому +2

      DaveSwag put up a video of yourself doing it better, or shut the fuck up princess. I dont want to hear your shit. Put up or shut up.

    • @kingdeedee
      @kingdeedee 9 років тому +4

      Rory McCallum LOL! The whiny pussy admits he's wrong! Now stop fanwanking. Musicians want their music to reach as large of an audiance as they can. And if it only reaches top- notch professionals, he's failed as a musician.
      Your narrow outlook on the matter is nothing short of embarrassing. Maybe a Grade 6 social studies course would help you out.

    • @rorymccallum7578
      @rorymccallum7578 9 років тому +1

      DaveSwag you say he's failed? You're not qualified to say he's failed. You can't play what he can play and you can't do it better then him and you dont have the experience or the wisdom to come to such conclusions.
      Firstly, the man is an amazing musician who has reached the audience of millions. He is already an established musician who has a video up.
      So let's compare him to you.
      You, live with you mommy using her wifi and her computer.
      You, can't play an instrument and you've done nothing with your life except assume your opinion has meaning and your words hold value when none of the above is true.
      Stop wondering why your a cry baby with no songs written and no skills on an instrument when the truth is you live at home getting your pajamas folded by your mommy.
      You have absolutely nothing to show for your life except a big mouth, no qualifications and no skills on anything except putting skilled musicians down because you're the master of nothing.
      I know a young kid who just got off his tour that made thousands of dollars and played places so famous it would make you cry and he's great because he is qualified and is a monster craftsman on his instrument because he shuts his mouth and plays for hours while you practice your mouth while getting your lunch made by mommy.
      Your words mean nothing and youre not qualified to speak about a person's musicianship when you dont have any. You got that Princess. Now either show us how much better you are by posting videos of yourself or simply shut the fuck up, junior
