Unfortunately, I had really weak wrists and wasn't able to play (at least not well)😅. Recently, I've gotten into Break Point, the Netflix tennis documentary. I've been trying to watch scoring videos and couldn't understand how the game works until NOW! 😊 This video is so helpful and easy to comprehend bc of the computerized player's and well worded explanation of how sets work! It takes a WHILE to understand tennis just by simply watching matches, so this helped me tremendously!!! 🤗 I somehow feel closer to my grandmother again! 🥹 She would have loved that I'm becoming a tennis fan. Remember: In 1 set you need to win 6 games with difference of two so you can win set by (6-1,6-2,6-3,6-4), but if the score is 6-5 then the difference is only 1 so you would need to win one more game to make it 7-5 so that difference is two now.
Hi Fran! Rules are same in mens singles and womens singles. Normal tournaments are same for mens and womens, best of 3 sets, that means a player needs to win 2 sets to win the match. In Grand Slams mens play best of 5 sets, that means mens player need to win 3 sets to win the match, but womens match is best of 3 sets only. Mixed doubles, Mens Doubles & Womens Doubles are best of 3 sets in grand slam as well.

No! It will be 1 tiebreaker only. They go on until there is a difference of 2 points. Sometimes players have won tiebreaker like 17-15
