Thank you for the kind words! Back when Dromai was legal I played a list that was very similar to your calling list and used it to qualify for my first Pro Tour! I will admit in our game everything kind of went my way, between the d-reacts for the eruditions, and transcending early, but I thought it was a good game regardless! I hope we get to play again soon!
great video Jude, and congratulations again. When I got home on Sunday I watched your streamed games; you played really well! it was so exciting to see one of the locals get so far in a tournament among so many of the strongest players in the US/Canada region. If you want to post gameplay commentary in the future, I would absolutely watch that. I always learn something new about the game from you when you talk through your thought process (or what my thought process should have been lol :D)
Well played games on stream!! Would be great to see some commentary on your gameplay ( what were you thinking at those critical points in the game why you chose certain lines, etc)
That's a great idea! There were several points during my stream games where the commentators didn't fully understand my lines of play, and I think I could definitely add some more detail about what I was thinking about during those games!
thanks for the video! i've been learning zen with your list and having a great time :) the only card im missing is warmonger's, do you have any recommendations for what i should put in the slot instead? thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I think that there are a few main uses that warmongers has, and while no other one card does everything that it does, depending on what you want to target there are a few options. You mostly use it as either a way to shut down a turn from Azalea or Viserai, or as a blue to swap out levels for in the Nuu matchup. to that end, I would probably either replace warmongers with another blue for ratios in the Nuu matchup, like snags and a third cosmic, or I would add another defense reaction for azalea, like maybe fate foreseen? I didn't get a ton of testing in with fate in time for the calling, but in theory it seems good as another 0 for 4 that digs for transcend. As for Viserai there isn't really another card that's comparable, although I think that matchup is still favored without it.
@thejudester5288 my area has a lot of viserai, a few nuus, and basically no azaleas, so i'll probably go with blues like you suggested. i briefly considered unravel aggression, but that would need some serious testing lol. thanks again!
I won, I maybe wasn’t the most clear on that part. What I was trying to convey was that while the game was close in life totals, it wasn’t actually particularly close because I ended the game still having traverse the universe unblocked with
This is a fantastic resource. Thank you for explaining your thought processes. I learned a lot. Congrats on the run.
Congrats on a great run, Jude. I enjoyed playing against you. -Gui

you da man Jude that's the second coolest card you could get after your driver's license
Awesome video thanks heaps, very informative. Would love to see some gameplay for future content too
Really appreciate the info. Very good insight. Getting into Zen, and this helps a ton! Thanks!!
It would be great to watch you play and talk about your plays/line of thinking as you make them.
Congrats Jude!

In the city series, did you win or lose against the enigma?
I won, I maybe wasn’t the most clear on that part. What I was trying to convey was that while the game was close in life totals, it wasn’t actually particularly close because I ended the game still having traverse the universe unblocked with
@thejudester5288 it sounded like you were saying it wasn't close because they popped traverse to threaten lethal.
Awesome work!
