The two forms that he is talking about with the motor is a odb1 motor is a 2.0 crossflow and that has full forge internals and the head has duel oil inlets in the head I just built one for my 96 vw passat I'm an old school vw head
Let's see the dyno numbers!
Appreciate the content man!
Of course
Cool video buddy. Love an ABA.
I have an MK3 Cabrio. I'd like it to have more HP, so I'm considering turbo charging it. The alternative is fitting a VR6 into it, but that means chopping stuff up.
Thing would be a fucking rocket with a cammed vr6 with a tune
You can actually use a mk4 head gasket for boost it will do the same thing and a lot cheaper
Techtonics has a 3.5mm thick head gasket that drops the compression to 8.5:1 for $50
mine golf 3 cabrio is 2.0 8v gti motor code 2E can i make with turbo up your video ?
you can do the same build because it's the same motor so it would work just the same.
U know how rare is a gti mk3 2.0 8valve auto never see one and i see one for sale
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one
What’s the difference between 8v and 16v? Is the 8v a must for the mk3? I have a 95 cabrio
The 8v is a single cam 8 valve and came in the mk3 Volkswagens. The 16v is a dual cam so a lot of people just take the 16v head and install it on the 8v block to make more power. I stick with the 8 valve because it’s easier to work on.
Mike - I need you to resend the parts list to me!
Okay. Can you message me on Facebook or instagram?
You think I could do this to my mk6 Jetta has a 2.0l 8v only problem I would see that I would run to is the MAF sensor what do you guys think?
I’m sure it’s possible but you would need to make sure you can find a tuner or a company that makes a tune
would these parts apply to my mk6 jetta s 2.0l
I couldn’t tell you for sure if they are the same. Im pretty sure they are different though
How have those pistons held up for you? I'm working on a cis 8v motor with an ABA block. The rest of it's forged but the pistons are cast. Only looking for 6psi or so
I have already gone through a set of pistons. The original ones had shattered where the piston rings go and so when I replaced them I gapped the piston rings for boost
Are u still running the cable clutch ?
Yes
It’s the 020 transmission that still uses a cable
You are a legend 🙌🏽
I have an Mk3 golf 1995 GL what kinda of motor that is when serial number says it’s a 2.8
That’s a vr6
Is the chip plug and play or is tuning involved??
No tuning required it’s a already tuned chip
Howsit bud. Any drive by videos or Dyno?

how hp have you now and feel de diference ?
I’m not sure how much hp I have now but there is a huge difference in power. It’s super fast
thanks
i have to choise to put a vr6 or to make my motor with turbo
@@sarkoziandrei2286 just depends on how far you want to go. The vr6 is going to make more hp with a turbo
i put a vr 6 just for it îs bigger motor sound and maybe în one day a turbo
