The Circulon says not to use cooking spray as cooking spray propellent can damage the surface. This is standard for nonstick pans. However, it did not say to use oil. Spray and oil are not the same. This is not a fair test. Also, the instructions on Circulon say to season.

Hi, I was wondering if the humming noise is loud, I couldn't hear it on the video. I'm trying to decide between Samsung and Lg induction range. But a little worried about the weird noises.

Hello, I actually had to just go out to the oven right now to hear the noise you’re talking about. And yes, there is a very light/low hum, and a very light fan that turns on when using the stove. To be honest with you, I never noticed it. I generally have somebody around me when I’m cooking or I have something playing on my iPad while I cook, and that noise level was not registering with me until I just turned it on to listen will full silence. I have no idea what the LG sounds like, but for the Samsung one it’s extremely low and I’m still just amazed at how fast everything cooks on this thing.

Not sure I would consider butter or oil a cooking spray. I think that probably would have made a difference in the outcome for the Circulon. Also its pronounced hexclad lol. Other than that great video.

The Circulon pan needs seasoned before use because of the bare stainless steel.

You don't season stainless, you heat it up until water beads without steaming, add your fats/oils and start cooking. You season Carbon Steel or Cast Iron pans though which are also great pans to use.

@@blazetownsend8785 worked in many kitchens? Only amateurs use water to test temperature. The same as any bare metal oil adheres to SS from regular use which is why with regular use it's non stick properties get better and doesn't require harsh chemicals or scrubbing to clean, either deglaze or rinse and wipe. Seasoning is used on Carbon and Cast iron mainly to stop rust.

Both those pans require oil. Did you clean off rescue from circulon pan before using?

We are planning to get one. Could you tell if like counter top induction units, this range has a persistent fan sound when turned on?

Hello, so I've never used a countertop unit this is my first time even using induction. When you turn on the burner there is a slight buzzing sound which from what I understand is normal. And yes there is a fan that turns on but it's very quiet I don't feel like it's loud at all. But I will tell you when you turn on the oven part the fan is much louder.
