IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT USING THIS MASK, HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW:
I've been using this mask for months. I got it in December and the results are literally amazing with one use. I didn't use it consistently until recently though. before, I'd do the recommended 15-20 minutes and rinse. I'd try to do that before my face got too red. not the best logic!
the mask of course still worked. even though your skin will appear irritated, its completely cleansed and a lot of your breakouts will be flat. (more on this in a sec!) in fact, some people even use this as a hair mask, and there's no need for shampoo afterward. so yes, results directly after one use is super cleansed skin and flatter breakouts. recently though I've been using it more consistently and leave it on until completely dry, which, depending on the consistency, could take a good hour (in this video feis mask is not completely dry. the very lightest parts are)
but yeah, just give it time it needs. Its actually like waiting for the redness to die down instead of washing your face at the height of the mask. I personally prefer this, but its up to you. so I've done that very consistently the past few weeks and tip: you can use this mask more and more often as your skin gets used to it. in the past week I have seen my acne completely flatten out and essentially go away minus a new pimple here and there (hormonal) and now its been helping with scarring. this mask alone is literally clearing up my skin.
a few things to note: my results went in the order of: flattening breakouts, clearing acne, unclogging pores (my t-zone and cheekbones literally are clear and glowing! it looks like someone's who has unproblematic skin. my cheek areas still have scarring,) tightening pores, fading scarring (completely gone everywhere except cheeks like I never had acne ) .
note 2, I have been vegetarian for years but eating cleaner lately. my diet is about 80% vegan. also drinking a lot of water.
note 3, remember that this mask draws out impurities. so your skin may go through a phase where everything is brought the the surface (your acne can't just vanish!) so don't worry and be consistent.
finally some tips: use the exact brand of ACV shown in this video. you can mix with equal parts of water if its too strong but water isn't effective in this mask. also don't use any metal when mixing. oh and a thick layer isn't necessarily better. more runny, more ACV. thicker is more clay. and a thin layer on the skin isn't "less effective" think of it as giving the mask some room to breathe.
**btw, when you see fei pour the ACV, at the bottom it's separated. this should be shaken well and combined before ever using.
GUYS. remember this is coming from someone who has tried and tested this mask. I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't completely amazing & I want to help anyone else who has acne and like me has had many things "work" but nothing cure it. hope this helped and I HIGHLY recommend this mask.
2 month edit/update: no more acne! besides some hyper pigmentation, my skin is completely clear (:

I use this once a week and I also put the activated charcoal powder of one capsule in, and a drop or two of lavender essential oil. Before putting it on, I wash my face, exfoliate with a brush then with Himalayan salt, then I steam my face 10-15 minutes and then apply the mask, afterwards super gently brush my face with exfoliating face brush and apply apple cider vinegar then rose water and FLAWLESS SKIN! Hack for this mask☺️

Yeah when your mixing you supposed to use something other than metal bowl and utensil, if you do it’s useless I guess because it draws out toxins. It’s a great mask though when I make it I use honey it keeps it from getting to tight and moisturizes the skin. I use the clay , honey, like 2 capsules of activated charcoal and Apple cider vinegar . When it’s dry it’s kind of flexible and smooth.

when I used this mask, during the drying process my face got extremely itchy to the point where I could only keep it on my face for a few minutes... I don't know if it's because I used water or what, but if you have sensitive skin (which I don't at all usually, but an exception for this), then just test some on a portion of your face before you go all in.

I have been using this clay mask for about a month now and it has worked wonders . I have oily and stressed skin mainly near my temple and sides and I use this once per week and would have it for 15-20 minites and it seems so tightening you can barely move lol . The first time I had this (with the mixture of apple cider) My face felt so smooth and since it is a "pore cleansing" mask I did break out on the first couple of days on some areas but I wasnt phased by it, it was just doing its job . Every week I would have this mask on and the less acne that would come up . Just a FYI acne does not go away overnight. You need to have the commitment and the consistency for this clay to work its mark. I believe it's on the directions to only use ONCE if so TWICE per week but ive heard some people use it more than that if your skin is used to it .. Just have patience and trust me it will reward you .

That mask is amazing. I use it every time I get a break out and it clears it. It works best when you sweat. I suggest you put it on and soak in a hot bath or work out and let your self sweat for about a half hour when you get out and rinse your face, your face will feel and look amazing and will also shrink the size of your pimples

I've been using this mask for months and it works like magic for my skin. Oily Combination skin, hormonal acne.
as it's very drying I mix it with honey and few drops of lemon juice because of the ph balance, so it doesnt completely dry out my skin, doesnt tingle or tighten weirdly! also, you're not supposed to mix it with anything metal as it would cancel out it's effects
i've also mixed it with apple cider vinegar and aloe vera gel before, but i like honey and lemon juice the most! so you can get benefits from all the ingredients

My sister and I make this mask the exact same way but we don't make it that watery. It's a bit thicker, and it makes your face pulse lol it's cool. But it does make your skin red. I don't recommend doing this mask every day. I do it twice a week, once at the beginning and once at the end of the week :) I love the way it makes my face feel!

  • @carebie
    @carebie 7 років тому +18

I LOVE this mask!! It has honestly helped out my skin so much. I only use it once or twice a week before I shower so I can sleep off the redness. Getting the mixture right is the hardest part for me lol I try to keep it on the thicker side because in my head that means it is doing more. So the less skin I can see through the mask the better lol.....

This is been popular for centuries and I know my people of the desert use clay as well if you really want to Spruce things up use apple cider vinegar with it but you can only do this once a month at most because it's very intense and I don't recommend people using this clay mask all the time it is very drying but what clay does is sucks impurities out excess oils dirt you name it so I'm glad you're bringing this ancient an effective technique back there's all sorts of different types of clay masks but you don't have to get fancy in all honesty we Harvest it and purify it and use it just as it is

I've used this product for a week. It's intense and you can feel it tighten as it dries!!! Using metal a metal spoon is a huge no no. Also, you have to mix equal parts of ACV and mask mix. I tsp aztec clay with 1 tsp of ACV. I noticed her mix was way too runny. It helps to apply with a brush not your fingers. 🙂

been using this mask for about 3 months now (consistently once a week) and it's been doing wonders i still can't believe it! it works at calming down active breakouts, controlling pore size (without dying the skin out too much) and preventing "clusters" of pimples i usually get. although there are times when this mask causes the deeper, more "painful" (i think it's called cystic?) pimples to come out but i think that's just "speeding up" the process by pulling all the impurities out from deep within the layers of your skin, thus the breakouts. don't expect it to do miracles for scars, though. i think that's a different story which requires different kinds of exfoliation/brightening/repairing products.
will be looking forward to your updates, Fei!

I use this stuff once a week and Ive been using it for several months. So far, I have found that it:
1.) Cleanses all the gunk out of your face(you can see the oils and blackheads in the mask leftovers)
    2.) Tightens pores
    3.) Gives you glowy skin
4.) Prevents you from getting acne
5.)Makes your face feel like a baby butt!!
If you have problems with your skin of any sort...I swear this is the best stuff you can put on your face!!! I use purified water and mix it with the clay. Not sure about the vinegar, it might irritate.

Just use Coconut oil at night as a moisturizer , I use organic form Walmart (yes for real); and a clear-sonic to wash your face , and philosophy face wash (worth every penny and last forever). During the day , use sunblock, a moisturizer for oily and dry skin and before you walk out of the door a finish spray to control the skin oils . Coconut oil very import since it’s a natural antibiotic and will kill bacteria, and excellent for the skin in terms of vitamins, antioxidants etc etc.

ACV can be found in most stores. Depending on where you are, its often in the natural food section of your grocery store. The "mother" is the cloudy stuff at the bottom of the bottle of unfiltered ACV. If you search for white vinegar, it may be next to that in the store as well. Youll see when you find it.

The problem with clay masks is that they indeed work incredibly, but ONLY if you don't let them dry off because if you do clay will dehydrate your skin and not moisturize it. And of course you need to do it regularly (2-3 per week).

This stuff makes my skin pulsate super strongly and tightens a lot for me. So I can only wear it for about 8 minutes but it definitely works!

I use this mask everyday with lemon and apple cider and put a moisturizer after. It really whitens my face and my pimples and dark spots fade away. Everyone should try this. It is okay to use it everyday but dont forget to moisturize your face after since your face would be so dry and for you to avoid wrinkles.

I will say this. I do not have acne prone skin but this mask makes me breakout for a day or so. This is due to it bringing out all of the impurities, so don't freak out at first. Your skin will improve over time and it really helps with pores.
