Wow, of all the differences between the C/D and E/F Hornets, I've never noticed the dog-tooth wingtips. One thing I would've liked him to elaborate on, is the aerodynamic advantages of the diamond style air intakes over the round ones of the legacy hornet.

I can't wait for the eventual F35 switch. The tandem 6 horizontal take offs/landings are going to be awesome ❤❤❤❤❤

I don't think they will get the F-35. They have to have at least two jet's that are dual seat. Usually for training purposes and VIP flights for media personnel. F35 is strictly a single seat aircraft. In order to actually qualify to sit on the cockpit a pilot must go through X amount of hours in the simulator first. Same thing with the Thunderbird's, they also have to have a duel seat Viper for the same reasons.

@@fightingfalconfan... If they can design the c5 galaxy, James Webb space telescope, the CERN, etc, I think they could pump out a few specially designed 2-seater f35s.

@@GeorgeJansen That would make the plane even more expensive. It's already over budget and no actual conflict for it to be effective.

When explaining the wing tip station, you see a CF-18 (Canada ) in the background

Yes, it was the best example of showing the weapons being loaded. It would have to be a real situation to show it.

The superhornet has ge414s , the legacy hornet has ge404 engines. Dude must of flown the legacy a few times 😂
