I would also recommend that what ever you want to transfer to can put them in gyms and transfer them when they come back. That way you save on revives and you still get coins plus candy and save storage space.
Before explaining the filter to delete all the 0*, 1* , 2* Pokemon; it would be best to state that this is a "PvE" stategy for purging. Many of the better "PvP IVs" will be on Pokemon with fewer than 2 stars. Many are even quite good with zero stars. "Rank 1" will often be 1 or 2 stars.
My issue is that when I ask the question “why would I need this?” I think trade fodder. And then no one trades with me. Then I do a purge. An event immediately comes up and I have nothing good to trade... lol
In your case, I would focus less on tradable Pokemon since you don't really have anyone to trade with. Alternatively you can focus on Pokemon to save for double candy transfer events. You can also still keep a small reserve of rare tradable Pokemon, just on the off chance you do run into someone who wants to trade. Just remember to keep that limit low, maybe 20-30 max.
Did not realize my entire collection of perfect great League 0/15/15s were actually transfer trash, amazing guide, really opened my eyes, would follow again. Super-solid move to have the first step of your guide cause new players to inadvertently throw away perfect PvP mons.
Thanks for the tip! I too have 1800 storage space atm and was real close to buying more but after the 2x transfer candy yesterday, I now have 600 free pokemon space😅
Ok so im a casual player of pokemon go like as in i just look for good stuff and dont know about anything trade related and or competitive related so this is very confusing to me but i can make use of the star search tip so thank you for that
You'll have to keep upgrading, you won't be able to have a living dex for quite some time. Instead I would focus on developing a lot of battlers and defenders to help you do raids, and stay in gyms longer. In the beginning, it is a coin grind, afterwards you can start having collections :)
But isn't it better to invest in high IVs no matter how low the level if you don't have a Pokémon of that type yet? It cost stardust of course, but in the long run it'll be worth it since this Pokémon will be strong in both level and IV.
Very very useful video. Could someone post the search strings you use to mark your pokemon, as a cheat sheet? Another question, I don't understand the level system yet. What do I google to read up on it?
Check my tutorials/guides playlist, which is linked in the description. I have a video that goes 50 different search string combinations. The level system is basically the amount of stardust it requires to power up a Pokemon. So for example, 2500 stardust is around Level 20. 5000 is around Level 30, and 8000 is Level 35.
For the level system just know that Level 30 is about 90% of the Pokemon's max potential, which is ideally where you want to stop powering up your Pokemon for the time being. You can go back and max them later, but its better to focus your efforts on building a strong Level 30 team first.
extremely useful! You and poké daxi have the most useful videos! Thank you so much for all your work! BTW: how do you name your raid mons or best mons you want to use for raids in the future?
It says gotta collect them all, not keep em all. When I show people my hard work I show my pokedex. Once you realize that's the goal then it's a lot easier to be a savage transferee. Once I got to 1900 and was transfering a couple everytime I went out to play it became more of a job or chore. Every one star I have there is a damn good reason I keep it. A couple Shiney Beartics with one star, maybe a couple shadow charizards with one star. But there has to be a good reason. I have not spent a dime in over a year and have 200 friends, almost a thousand balls and a ton of every item. Don't spend money on collecting pokemon. They go in your pokedex,. That's the goal. FILLING THE POKEDEX, not having 25 Sneazels with crappy IV's
Does moveset depends upon base pokemon move For example I watch one video of evolving salamence from bagon . That bagon had bite and crunch moveset and after evolution to salamence it got bite and hydropump. Now my question is that i too have same bagon with bite and crunch so will i get same moveset i.e, bite and hydropump?? And 2nd questions is that i dont have any hack just a normal player so max i can collect 200 to 250 candy that also with much difficulties so now problem lies here that most of my best pokemon has worst moveset means totally last grade moveset even after using Charged tm and fast tm the result still comes negative means still gets bad movesets and after reusing that TM's again on same pokemon the 1st moveset comes back Please provide solutions to this problem of mine i hope iam clear explaining my problem 😢😢😫😫
I’m trying to clear space but idk what to get rid of. I only collect 1 shiny of each family and meta relevant Pokémon. Do I really need 9 Metagross, 9 rayquaza and 6 tyranitar?
LuckyBunz 1100 space. I’ll try to cut it down to 6 if the best mons for each type and maybe 3 for the second and third best from each type. I haven’t been maxing out any Pokémon that aren’t luck so I’ll narrow it down and start doing that.
I also like to collect shadow Pokemon, but don't know which ones to keep. High CP ones? Best PvP IVs? Best overall IVs? Suggestions? I planned to purify before transfering them (because of the purifier medal), but it's stardust expensive if I can't find enough zubats :$
Yeah I wouldn't worry about purifying anything too expensive, and for Shadows if you start to end up with multiples, check their PvP IVs and transfer whichever one is worse. Although tbh, Shadow Pokemon are a very expensive investment.
I always ask myself the question, why not🤷♂️ thx for not mentioning all the mons needed for PvP in GBL & Silph Arena... just gimme more damn space Niantic! I want to collect event stuff, shinies, luckies, hundos, none-dos etc etc etc and if I'm willing to pay for it I should be able to have it.
@@xntic24 It was a year ago but I think I saw him delete some decent go league mon. 0/15/15 and various other IV’s can be better than hundo’s in go league 🤦♂️
I'm late to this video, but the Yen symbol when used as the only search string brings up many pokemon that I did not tag with it. I can't figure out what they have in common, does anyone know?
So get rid of all Pokémon that are 0-2 stars? Ok cool that’s what I thought! Now how about if you want a good great league Pokémon what star should he be? Would he be a 2 star?
You will have to be more strict with what you keep in the beginning, but as you continue to expand your storage you will be able to start collecting more :) For now just focus on your fighters and gym defenders!
Just focus on your fighters/gym defenders for now as you continue to build up your storage! That is still plenty of room, just gotta be a bit more savage with your transfers, only keep what's absolutely necessary!

LuckyBunz Good idea, I’ll keep 30 tradables in stock then.
Loved the video! I’m trying to learn how to play competitively and this helps!
This was sooo helpful, as I only have 500 space and the coins are much better used on item storage and raid passes

0/15/15 is like the best for pvp if it is being used for ultra or great league

Movesets do change when you evolve and yeah tms can be frustrating sometimes bc its luck of the draw (you'll get the good one eventually)
But the struggle is real. In a perfect world you'd get 2 or 3 candies for transfering
Was this the method from before tags existed?
I’m trying to clear space but idk what to get rid of. I only collect 1 shiny of each family and meta relevant Pokémon. Do I really need 9 Metagross, 9 rayquaza and 6 tyranitar?
