Bottom line: "I like the sober Tony... alot." I love that line. I wish the very best for him. I think his future bright. Challenging, but bright.
Perfect
Yesa man
I’m so happy Mark said “I’m proud of you” at the end. I so want to tell this man the same thing. A man who never had a male role model really needs to hear that! I can’t imagine how hard it was to kick drugs when he was surrounded by them every day. Amazing strength.
Dang that was a good one!! Guys handsome, well spoken, polite!!!! 53 is so young!! You have so much to offer the world!!!! Love it!!
Please believe this man reached dark places before coming to the light. What a good story to see. Good job dude.
Love a recovery story. Helps balance things- reminds us it's possible- ❤
Love my recovery- hearing people in active reminds me I'm 1 bad choice away.
Those who get sober are definitely some of the strongest individuals you will ever come across. Nothing makes you strong like coming off dope. And then the hell of being sober. Takes hella strength to STAY sober.
Anyone who has the strength and ability to get off junk can do anything. Good luck son, you’ve achieved a lot.
A felony record is a major roadblock.
Isn’t “junk” heroin?
@@petedog9581 good things this world has plenty of opportunities for everyone despite circumstances 💙
@@Mhmmz It limits opportunities. We love to define people by their failures, rather than their successes.
The fact that he has thrived after living the "cruddy life" for years is ignored, but his felony will always define him in so many situations in life. Bet he can't coach a HS sport, for example.
I have been through it myself. Lost family, friends, and jobs over just a label. That's their problem, not mine. It is a life brand. He is someone who deserves respect and opportunities.
@@julieann4616honestly it's not just drugs, it's any addiction, shopping, sex, porn, video games etc..
Awesome! Keep it up dude, we’re rooting for you!!
I really love this guy! I hope you use your experience and the lessons you have learned to help others. I wish you so much love, strength and peace. Cheers, from Country Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
One of the most positive interviews I’ve seen in this channel. So many are sad hopeless stories. I really hope this guy stays sober and inspires others.
"I used to lean on her for strength and she didnt even know it" that got me right in the ❤
What a lovely guy. Wishing him the best
This guy is one of the few honest people on the platform. He is a role model for addicts. I really enjoy listening to him. Crack addiction is the toughest one to beat.
You're heading in the right direction! I wish nothing but the best for you. Keep up the good work!!
It can be done,26 years next month…It gets easier every day and more rewarding…You got this man 💪🏼💪🏼
Congratulations!!!! My hubs will be 8 years in August. So proud of you both for choosing your beautiful selves. Aloha, love and peace to you. 🌈❤️☮️
This guy really has a head on his shoulders and a lot of courage in his heart. Impressive!!!
I am proud of you. 5 words needed to be heard. Thanks Mark. I am proud of him too! I love this channel ❣️
It is sad how smart and nice people like this guy just get lost to drugs. Happy to see that you can come out on the other side in good shape.
He isn't out. He is manipulating.
@@ZooyZoborne i felt that. a tad too many arms akimbo? plus he mentioned 2 things: being able to cut back to doing it at night and not during the day, and then when mark asked him what helped....work, looking at pics on phone, and something else where i was like, it that all? to kick a crack addiction? alk i believe because he looks too good to be alked out, but crack smokers can look amazing. i know one, and he looks unbelievably too good to be a crack smoker. but he is.
Great interview. Thank you for including the story of a survivor. Good work Mark.
Congratulations Tony 👏 👏 👏
Getting sober is one of the hardest things a man can do. Staying sober is probably the hardest. But both are the most rewarding things we can do. Stay strong your nieces and nephews will be so proud. I'm so proud.
Tony's wisdom & candor is a gift, as is this channel. Thank you. Sincerely hoping Tony continues on this path - much love to him.
Life is hard. I've lost so many friends and family members to addiction. I know how these people feel. You just want to give up. Whether you find your higher power or you just do it for yourself. Everyone deserves to be happy, healthy and loved. Love yourself and never give up!
That "But....a year and 3 months ago I got sober" literally made me jump out out of my chair with joy. Obviously I knew it was coming by the title and how put together and articulate Tony is. But damn, it still made me so happy to hear. Keep killing it Tony, you've got more support behind you than you even know.
I feel very similarly about sobriety. I try to hold on to that small bright voice that tells me there is something else in store for me. Beautiful interview thank you Tony.
I can tell Tony is a stand up guy, he just made the wrong choices. Loved this interview and hope Tony finds true happiness in his journey.
Nice and hopeful story. Great example for the people still on drugs and trying to stop. Thanks Tony and Mark
Great job Tony!
I love success stories Mark.
It truly made my day.
One cool dude! You deserve nothing but the best. Keep up the good work. Sending love and strength. ❤️
Thanks for sharing the recovery stories, too.
I'm 4 years 1 month sober on the 15th of this month. I've got all kinds of nice material things, a good relationship with God, and a great relationship with my family. Never going back!
I really appreciated this one. Thanks Tony for your wisdom and experience!
I love that end "something or somethings I still need to accomplish."
Tony, wishing all those plenty of years left to be happy, healthy ones. I'm sorry to hear all you've been through & so inspired to see you turn your life around. I wish all of Marks interviews had a recovery ending. Inspiring 🤍
Congratulations for Tony I liked his story he seems like he really truly is going to stay sober or at least keep fighting it.
Stay clean Tony , you are very strong .
lovely interview. what a sober sounding bloke! My hat off to you for such an achievement. When people have been through stuff they just sound so clear, they resonate with that lived wisdom.
Congratulations Tony on your sobriety - best of luck to you and sorry for losing the love of your life 🥰
This is a nice change from the usual content....SO proud of you Tony wishing you all the best!!!
What a beautiful human being!
I had a similar experience, I almost died from some super coke , then I was like “nope” I’m done
Right on my brother! Mark you really give these guys a platform.
Honest interview, change is great, wishing him the best.
This guy is so inspiring
Dude looks healthy. 💪🏿 Stay up
I love to see a positive recovery story in all of the turmoil that mental health and substance abuse can cause. While I enjoy all the sad stories it’s great to see someone like tony wanting sobriety and a better life. Thank you mark for allowing us to get a glimpse at the lives of so many people.
A counselor who has lived through an experience , who has experienced the highs and lows of drug addiction is way better at getting the right message across than a counselor who is reading stuff from a textbook.
I think this is your calling
You can make a positive contribution to people's lives by helping them on the road to recovery
Yes fire them all immediately
Congrats on your sobriety.keep it up,it's worth it.
So proud of you Tony. God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas! You've given your son the best gift ever - a sober Dad for Christmas!
Getting off alcohol is harder than any drug! It’s so dangerous & scary with the DT’s. I’ll get there and this dude is a MASSIVE inspiration!
Thank you!
tony you're a straight up boss bro if you're reading this you got the right mindset and you spit facts about all the right things man consider this message a huge earth shattering high five bro
Thank you for sharing your story with us today. Interesting to hear that alcohol withdrawals were more difficult. You are strong to do detox x2 substances on your own, Wow. Keep your focus on all you've achieved! Be well 💜
Tony, I totally get you! Much love and respect for you in your personal journey ❤🙏🏽
Great job, Tony, on your sobriety. I hope you can achieve all of your hopes and dreams.
More recovery videos please!!!
Love success stories! Keep up the dedication & hard work of sobriety ❤💪🙏
Great recovery story. I love those.
I am proud of you Mike. 🤍
So grateful for you Tony, you hit the points spot on. Continued success, stay on your path, and you will see what your purpose is, I think in time it would be helping others. You have a great attitude toward your recovery and staying clean. It is powerful. Thank you Mark for these stories of recovery, they do help I believe. and again than you for what you do.
Loved this interview. Great job tony & huge congratulations to you!! Keep on doing the damn thing!! You got this!! 👏🏽👏🏽
So happy for you Tony! One day, one moment at a time…
Amazing job! Especially doing it for your own worth! You deserve all the goodness for your hard work! ❤
Honest, bright, articulate, and hes a rare bird for sure, glad hes off the habits and wish him well.Rather see him on the right sight of soceity and not a predator on the serngeti trying to survive.
congratulations Tony. Very very happy for you. They say people, places, and things, we need to stay away from, I hope if you , always put your sobriety first Tony, whether that means you need to move away from people using, or if you start craving badly , you go to a meeting. You have the choice of both recovery groups. Its time for you to enjoy life, get back with your sons, when you are strong enough to do it. Tony, time takes time, you will continue to change your thoughts on things. I am so proud of you. It really gives you a whole new life, being clean and sober . Most drunks die drunk. Sobriety is for people who want it, it don't work for all the people like us they need it Tony, most people don't know that more drunks die in withdraw then drug addicts . We are truly gifted to not have to suffer, any more. I am so very sorry for your lose. My niece, suffered with depression and she thought drinking would numb her pain, instead, she took her life. Please remember your not alone, and don't ever have to be alone again. Wishing you a long , good sober life. Your worth it.
Keep it up tony ! We believe in you… you sir, are worth it. This past September I walked through 3 years in recovery from fentanyl, cocaine, alcohol and nicotine, 1 day at a time. It’s possible, you just have to want it more than anything else, for your very life depends on it… Stay safe and continue to keep making the next right decision. May god hold you in the palm of his hand.
THESE are the videos I like to see coming from SWU. much love from Kansas City
These are basically like therapy sessions. These stories need to be heard though.
God Bless you Tony!!! I love a recovery story...One day at a time!!
Congrats on your sobriety, Tony. Keep putting yourself first. 53 is nothing and you still have a lot of life to enjoy. Hope you continue this path.
Good job!! What an inspiration!!
Unbelievable. Very inspirational

I'm a recovering addict of 5 years. If your a addict your NEVER RECOVERED PERIOD. Best of luck bub. #Youarenotalone
Good for you man! Keep it up.
I don’t know what you might be going through Or what situation you’re in right now but I no god is there for you and he loves you God bless everyone who came across this.🇧🇸❤️
Congratulations I'm happy for you
Tony had a very tragic, traumatic early life. God bless him if he can stay clean but he also needs to find a passion where he can use his experiences, talents and his knowledge to make legitimate money and help others. God bless Tony in his recovery.🙏🏼
Good work Tony! Keep at it!!!
The other day some commenters had an issue with me calling out that runner lady who wanted to be famous but kept going on about being humble. My man Tony here - he is humble. The contrast is striking. One can feel that he has learned from his past and has a healthy view on what truly matters in this one “precious life,” in his words. I’m sorry about the sudden loss of the love of your life, Tony. I pray her spirit is free and that you also remain free from what held you captive.
Tony keep doing or setting goals that keeps you solid and happy with yourself…trouble will always be around the corner but when your strong mentally and healthy you can move thru the troubles and end up on the other end of it! 12:51 ✌🏼🙏🏼❤️
Well done Tony! I hope good things come your way fella you deserve it!
Sending good vibes only brother......
We are in Los Angeles.....
There are a million meetings and groups to choose from which will come in handy and assist personal growth....
I don’t know anyone who’s made it long term without finding a home base outside the fam and friends.....
There’s a stigma on the “program” I notice past 10-15 years ...
There’s cool peeps you will relate to....
Just gotta find by checking LA AA out...
Best to you bro
There's a lot for you to do in this world Tony, stay strong for yourself 1st, then your kids and keep your spiritual center strong! Stay up, you got this!! 💯💙💎🔥🔥🔥
Hey Pam, I just replied to you under my comment. I hope you have a good day at work today. 😉👍
Well done Tony, I'm proud of you!
You are truly remarkable Tony
I like the people who have overcome, bettered themselves and make it in what we squares call the real world.
Humbleness is the key of keeping sobriety. I've been fighting the same war for over 20 years and can firmly say that arrogance was my worst enemy in the process.
I’m so proud of you & praying for you 🙏
What a testimony. God bless this man. He's on his way to a new life.
God bless you Tony. He loves you and so do I. Stay strong and prayed up. 🙏🏽
I wish you all the best 💕 Tony.
Nice man , wish you lots of luck. Stay strong.
Well done Tony, you should be very proud of yourself 👏

I've also been sober for a year and 3 months now and it really hit when he said " Sobriety.. I love it" Some realll ass shit there...
