  • I spent about a day dissembling and restoring my Ridged jointer. I could have done more but I decided to stick to just the moving parts, for the most part. Please like, share and subscribe if you enjoy my content. I love producing videos like this and there will be much much more to come.

Was just eyeballing an older (and possibly rustier) Delta jointer on Craigslist yesterday. Owner says it runs. So, after watching you, I may have to make him an offer (after seeing it in person of course). I've watched a few of your vids now and noticed you don't have climate control in your shop. You did wax all that freshly polished iron to keep it from rusting again, didn't you? Maybe you showed it in the video and I missed it. Was fixing dinner.

IDk what the hell you're using as a rust remover, but i'm betting it costs. Here's how the big boys do it.
Get table vinegar, wet a cloth or spray it directly on the surface. After you 're done , baking soda in water to neutralised the acid.
Wipe it down till its dry , reassemble. Small parts, dunk'em in a bucket of vinegar, wipe 'em clean after a few hours, depending on how much rust you got. repeat the soda in water treatment. Oil well with your preferred oil to avoid rust in the future.
    Cheers!
