Trey is the perfect complement to this band!
I was backstage for this one!! They were way beyond in PEAK FORM!!
Im old. Ive to 5 WHO concerts in my life time. This band plays covers worth playing and has original music. My life is on short. You Young ones, pay attention to real musicians.
What a way to start a post. 🤔 You got to live in the best era and experience the best time in music. Be happy.
My favourite part of this all-round excellent performance might be the trombonist rocking-out in the background.
Love that trombone player. Every video she’s having more fun than anyone.Bet she’s cool as hell.
Derek Trucks is a master at slide guitar. However it's not what he does with a slide that is
Scary...it's what he does with out it.Truly out of this world. His Wife Susan is a solid guitarist and has the voice of an angel...a blues angel.🤟🤟🤟🤟🤘🤘🤘☝☝☝🤙🤙🤙
Lovin' the rock 'n out trombone player in the Carie prom dress.
Wondered what they would play together… completely unexpected treat. Phenomenal show all around. Best band in the land ….❤ u TTB
Love the smile on Treys face when Susan is ripping it up.
🤘🏼🎶💯🔥💃👍🏼🙏
Happy BIRTHDAY 🎈🎈🎂🎈🎈Ernest Joseph "Trey" Anastasio III
At one moment of this cover I think I could read Dereks' mind: " This is EXACTLY why I put this band together!!" Great to see the enigmatic Trucks looking like he is having fun.....!
"I asked Bobby Dylan, I asked the Beatles..." One of my favorite song lines ever. So reflective on the of times in the 60's.
Totally cool version. The Who would be proud !!!
Tossing the guitar solo around at the end like a hackysack was extraordinary. 3 masters !
Derek is so beyond good...
let the woman on trombone loose and let her get on the dance floor, she's about to explode
Great cover..One of my favorite Who songs!
Elizabeth is definitely havin a good time!
Cool to hear Derek play power chords and then rip a solo at the end.
Susans no slouch on that guitar either! They put on one phenominal show!!
What an amazing night! Definitely one of the best TTB shows I've ever seen. I knew there'd be a bunch of great covers but this went beyond a bunch and chock full of incredible surprising covers. Just phenomenal!!
One of my favorite songs in the 💜 🌎 what a tribute not a cover 💕💕💕💕
Wow saw it person
😅 going next year
Luv it
Thank god for this band
Music no BS
Red hot show... fantastic
Love it!
Amazing night. Pure pleasure.
So cool that this happened and was recorded.
Looks like a blast!!
Roger is a killer singer😘
I always thought this would be a great cover for them. Awesome. Thanks.
That’s how an open Mike should sound with the ‘sharing’. And the trombone player was apparently very excited, too.
Mic drop. Damn that was smokin!
Fuck yeah.
Excelente cover de este viejo tema de The Who .
Wow. So killer.
That was amazing
Woooo! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
awesome.
way way carrying on and enlivening the traditional (and real) connection to the raw BLUES !!! Cutting edge alone not to buy in to the, no doubt, enticements to sell out .... Rock GOD's are pleased and listen as the truth revolves ... play it as you DREAM it !!! LOVE... denis !!! p.s. never ever forget the interaction with Mr Dylan and the love and respect made manifest therein ...
I was expecting Derek to pull a whirlwind during this song. He isn't usually as animated when he plays. Looks like he was having fun.
Unreal night.
Wow!
♥♥♥
Oh now I remember this is what rock ‘n’ roll used to sound like
Fun cover
Love that they’re playing stuff by The Who. Is this the first time TTB has played Pete Townshend/Who stuff?
Wow! Never expected ever hear a Pete Townshend/ A Who Song! "Vantastic!"
This rippppps!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Impromptu jam at a high level. This is pretty much how its done.
"I'm a seeker. I'm a really desperate man."
Wow definition of HOT
Blistering !
Go Susan go
Wow
now aint that something !!
Sounds great. But did I miss Derek doing the Pete Townsend windmill on the guitar?
go to 3:00, at 3:04 when the piano breaks the rest early by like an 1/8 of a note you can see derek trey and susan all try not to laugh
If you're a good, or even a great band/artist, do you want to sound even greater?
Do this: Cover a WHO🇬🇧 song! 😉
any band with trombone is ok to me!
Well, none of them can seem to cover Roger Daltry, but it was a great, fun try. That's good enough.
Phish's audience and TTB's audience overlap big time. I see the same people, we talk. I have been waiting all these years for these two musical universe's to merge. Like merging the Allman Bros with the Dead in 1971. The roots of the whole "jamband scene" come from two sources, the Dead (bluegrass, folk, psychedelia and the Allman Bros, (which is blues, country, gospel and jazz influenced). Mix it all together and here we are. Only expect more good things from this collaboration in the future. BTW, when TTB does a cover, it is better than the original 9 times out of ten.
Great cover. About as anyone could cover a WHO tune. I would like to know who was the lead male vocalist here?
This was great, bur i think Mike Mattison would have killed this vocal.
Not bad. Rush's cover of this song is much better.
Trey can’t sing
Trey is a great singer.....go watch american idol if you want frilly crap.
Bad cover
It's rare to see Derek so animated!
He has some great chemistry with Trey. Totally in his element and finding that groove!
When I first saw DTB in college we used to joke how almost emotionless Derek would look in stage. No smiles nothing. That all changed though and I love seeing him grin and be so animated
Im a Seeker to. Always loved this Song.
